@@Neuvarithat should be a special skill to be obtain from skill tree. No difference to double assassination in AC. Im sure the mechanic is just hold the block button and it will block attavk from multiple enemy and counter it.

The weird weapon that takes people's head is an iconic wuxia fantasy weapon called “血滴子” or "blood dripper". Throw it at your enemy, it will automatically catch their head and snatch it clean off their neck. The inner part is like iron maiden but not with spikes and nails, but with blades.
Edit: wuxia novels also have that "conventional weapon" and "eccentric weapon" things. Conventional weapon is usually found in military training, more specifically, sword (single edged and double edged) and spear. In this case the blood dripper is the eccentric among eccentric.

FYI, the flail like weapon that the boss uses at 6:38 is called 血滴子 or Flying Guillotine, a legendary Chinese ranged weapon used during the reign of the Yongzheng Emperor in the Qing Dynasty.
The weapon resembled a disc or flattened dome with a bladed rim and a chain or rope attached to the weapon's top, allowing it to be wielded as a bladed flail or thrown like a flying buzz saw. According to legend, the weapon's deadliest feature, and the source of it's English name, was its ability to decapitate a victim by being thrown on top of their head. Once landing, a pressure switch in the disk's underside would release the rim to fall over the head and encase it in a silken trap. A tug on the chain would then trigger concealed blades along the interior of the rim to swing out and cut through the neck. There is also evidence that the weapon may have been soaked in deadly poison before use, such that it can kill a person immediately when blood is drawn (literally "at the sight of a drip of blood"), which gives rise to its Chinese name 血滴子.

Just the last boss, the weapon he has, the music and the environment and character, this is a dark fantasy, you can feel it with all your bones, this is a game you need to put your time to enjoy and master it, well done SGAMES - these people deserve all the best for the art they created

BTW love what they did with the block and parry animations, they help the fight look more like a wuxia coreography and not the character having a forcefield around him.

This is probably the closest thing I’ll possibly get to a spiritual successor to Sekiro…I’ve been waiting for a game to scratch that itch for months after beating that game and this games seems like it will deliver. Can’t wait to see more and get my hands on this thing once it releases.

Yoo, from what I've heard, the game is more like ninja gaiden(because it has different combos and strings that are done by pressing triangle and square or whatever)and somewhat dmc, it also seems to have parry mechanics and other stuff. I'm just telling you, so you don't go in, thinking that it plays exactly like sekiro or a soulslike

Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor felt the most Sekiro-like for me.

My one critique would be the player character attacks with a superfast flurry of strikes making it difficult to discern at what point attacks will not stun lock the target.
In Sekiro you had simple 3, 4, 5 hit combos that could be easily interrupted and each successful strike on the enemy would cause a degree of stun lock or reaction otherwise your attack would be countered with a block.
In this game you seem to just wail on the target until it decides to attack you again. That crucial mid step of showing consistent reactions to your moves so you can anticipate the next attack is not present. It's like a traffic light missing an amber light, it just goes from Red straight to Green.
Dang its the notorius Dynasty Qing weapon called 血滴子!
The music of the final boss at the end was the best part!
That eerie sound as soon as gameplay begins, I've hesrd similar sound in Nioh with heartbeat added. It plays when we near a boss room.

That Huangxing fight was particularly interesting. Neat little unexpected one-shot out of nowhere.
In fact, the Phantom Blade series is a sequel or reset to a 2008 game called the 雨血 series. The Western version should be called "Rainblood: Town of Death, "with the same main character and worldview. In the previous promotional videos, you can also see the BOSS with the same image as the original image.

My biggest complaint are these animations, *some* movements doesn't feel like there's any weight behind it, ESPECIALLY with that bow at 1:01.
The string isn't even being pulled and the character's stance is stiff, not dynamic at all.
Animations breathe life into videogames, and when they fail to deliver (especially in an action game like this) it can make it unsatisfactory to play.
And again right here at 1:27, the enemy is hardly reacting to being attacked (he's also not even blocking fast enough nor correctly), it makes this otherwise badass exchange look/feel jarring.
But even though there's issues, the core gameplay, art, action choreography, enemies and etc. look incredible.
