I'm a big fan of the League of Explorers and Rafaam confrontation.
For the first time, all the expansions of the Year of the Dragon were united by one plot, and it was a huge inspiration for me. We saw a ton of cool trailers, interesting adventures and even a very unusual brawl that I loved with all my iron heart. Team 5 has proven that the card game can tell a compelling story.
Throughout the year, I carefully collected all the materials into one big film and also created animation scenes to fill in the gaps. This is the craziest and most difficult project I've ever done.

I have to say that the year of the dragon had a very cool story hope for the next years blizzard do something similar
I think they are doing something similar with the year of the gryphon. Barrens has a focus on Horde and the next expansion is Alliance. Many of the new characters on the legendary cards will be present in the next expansions.
Fingers crossed that we get something good! :)
It was okay.
The third part though... I dunno, it kinda feels like they were tired of the whole thing and just wanted it to be over. Really didn't wrap up well.
@@marcusjensen7874 I saw a theory somewhere that the merc legendaries in Barrens are very cheap in mana cost because they are low leveled WoW characters; implying that they're gonna be in the next expansion with much stronger stats at the cost of higher mana, signifying that they've "leveled up"; and in the third expansion, they're gonna be returning as hero cards, signifying that they've reached legendary status and hit the level cap

They should've made animated shorts of this trilogy because I want to look at this at a different perspective where the league of E.V.I.l and league of explorers fight for the fate of azeroth it would've been entertaining to watch

I always like to think that this stuff is canon to the Warcraft Lore but we as the Hero/Adventurer weren't invited to the party.
Well, sure. Random adventurers getting cucked out of credit for doing anything is pretty much the core of WoW.

@@laszlokortvelyessy1999 k but in terms of lore, story, aaaand cards. I think YOD is best. YOM had some great stuff especially considering cards but it lacked in the other areas.

Crazy good storytelling, well put together with All the clips and hints from Past expansions. 10/10

I must say the return of old villains was a pretty darn good idea,the same i always wanted to see with like Ragnaros or Kelthuzad.
Imagine what would happen if Ragnaros,Kelthuzad and Rafaam would team up.
I really hope E.V.I.L returns one-day because I finish there story be for of LOE
a lot people in E.V.I.L charming and makes me wish they were event Raid bosses in WoW when they first came out

@@BushSage they don't well...lazul does but only in the hero storyline the villain storyline they all disband ang go there seperate ways but not Boom, Lazul, Toggwagle, and Hagatha they stay with Rafamm to disband later to live there own lives and write there own stories.
@@HexjosTannorex oh i was on the villain storyline and thought it said Eudora was the only one left alive besides rafaam
@@BushSage well when you play was Rafamm you have the card versions of Hagatha Toggwagle Boom and Lazul so it's my theory that they helped Rafamm and then went there seperate ways. But idk they could have died but i don't wanna belive that so i'm sticking with my theory till the end of Hearthstone

This team never ceases to surprises me with their extensive research and amazing way of presentation. But this time, you've truly outdone yourselves... Loved the piecei g together of all the short clips along with your own animations. A 45 minute masterpiece indeed....!!!

The cinematic for Descent of Dragons still slaps.
Year of the Dragon was probably my favourite meta up until *hey loser* and librams were released.
The story telling expansion trio and descent were all great imo (even if lackeys were rng fiesta)

I'm really going to miss solo adventures, with Ashes of Outland being the last one.
They have great content in scholomance and Darkmoon to make solo adventures, but with the Books of Heroes they are missing that opportunity. I stopped playing Book of Heroes after Rexxar's, It's just not the kind of solo content I enjoy

The story was awesome
Wasn't there a Brawl that focussed on Elise gathering the other members of the League of Explorers and encountering Tekahn? That could've fit in this movie.
Also at 28:56 I feel it'd make more sense for the portal to send them in the sky above Northrend, leading directly into the Dragon's Descent trailer.
Small criticisms aside, this is really nicely put together! It may be the craziest and most difficult project you've ever done Bot Mathematician, but you did it excellently!
