My strongest emotions are tied to the music of CCR. My mom was hospitalized dying and everyday I would drive Dad to go see her. I put a CCR CD on and all the sudden Dad and I were singing. This went on for a month. All Dad wanted to hear while driving was CCR. This continued after Mom died. Then 3 months later Dad died. He missed my mom so much, he died of a broken heart I believe. To this day, a little over a year later I start to cry when I hear CCR music. Especially "Who'll Stop the Rain" , "Midnight Special" and "Cotton Fields" It doesn't get much better than a son and father singing CCR.... Thanks for the memories!

I was still in elementary school when CCR disbanded, but older brothers had 8-track tape players (typically mounted by bracket under the dash or on transmission hump) think 1960 Rambler Rebel / 1964 Plymouth Valient. I later fell in love with Fogerty upon release of Blue Moon Swamp.

Hey John. Do you know that your songs were popular in the Soviet Union in the seventies and eighties? On vinyl mini-disks issued under “Melodya” label (that was the only vinyl producer in USSR). I had several of these. I listened and did not understand a word. But really liked it. Almost 50 years have passed. And I'm still listening.

C.C.R. albums have also been released in Yugoslavia in 70'. I grew up with this music as a kid, my father did listen to them a lot. And also, I didn't understand a word, but the filing, man you could almost taste the U.S.A ha ha.

Do you know that your songs were popular in the Soviet Union in the seventies and eighties? On vinyl mini-disks issued under “Melodya” label (that was the only vinyl producer in USSR). I had several of these. I listened and did not understand a word. But really liked it. Almost 50 years have passed. And I'm still listening.
Great music is a universal language. It can break down all barriers...... like Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones once said, after all those years of living under the threat of doom and billions of dollars spent, what brought down the Soviet Union? Blue Jeans and rock n roll!

C.C.R. albums have also been released in Yugoslavia in 70'. I grew up with this music as a kid, my father did listen to them a lot. And also, I didn't understand a word, but the filing, man you could almost taste the U.S.A ha ha.
