In Russia is better to use "Yandex maps" instead of "Google maps".
It is local software and much more accurate.
It has English interface also.

I instead would recommend OrganicMaps or OsmAnd
Or 2GIS - it works without an Internet connection and every bit as accurate as Yandex.

So a little story here.
I traveled to the US in 2014 as a Work&Travel student from Russia. After landing in NYC, i was trying to save some money and find a cheaper way to go from the airport to the Grand Central Station (I needed to go to Boston and to Provincetown afterwards). I was kinda short on money that's why I haven't used the train.
And I was COMPLETELY lost in the middle of nowhere several hours later. I didn't have a SIM-card, so i was buying coffee in McDonalds to use their WiFi there and figure out where the hell should I go.
I was scared because that didn't look like a good neighbourhood at all. (I was 19 yo)
But thank god I found a very nice lady (black if it matters) at around 12 am standing at the bus stop. I asked her for help and she not even walked with me to the right bus stop but also payed for me since I didn't have a card and gave me some other useful advices. God bless that lady and her family.
The point is: there are a lot of good people everywhere around the world, don't judge others based on their skin colour or religion or whatever.
Welcome to Russia, my friend!

You're correct, Sly. Russia is not all white. It's a multinational state with over 190 ethnic groups. The majority are ethnic Russians, at around 80% of the population, who are considered white. However, there are many other significant minorities (Tatars, Ukrainians, Bashkirs, Chuvash, Armenians, Chechens).
These groups come from various backgrounds and may not be classified as white. Russia spans a large part of northern Asia and Europe, so the ethnicities reflect that diversity.
Ethnicity and physical appearance aren't always perfectly aligned, especially in a multinational country like Russia. Russia's long history has led to mixing between groups, so people may have features from multiple ethnicities.
Ukrainians are whiter than white
And, yes, in Russia we are called "black" )))
Ахахах. Молодец! Записал украинцев в небелое меньшинство! 🤣
lol, are you American? Cause lack of education is showing. The only non-white ethnicities in Russia are non-local Asians and local Asians (Buryats, Yakuts and othe Far North peoples) and Jew from the Jewish Authonomous Respublic but you wouldn't know the diffenece, right? Appaulling. There are no @non-white@ peoples among those you mntioned. In fact those are thhe epitome of white (caucasian) race scientifically speaking. Yes, even Tatar and Bashkir. Read a book.

Russia is one of the safest places, Moscow is super safe for women (I am a woman and lived there for 5 years), and would sometimes come home at 3,4 in the morning when I would go out. Never had any problems.
However, according to statistics, Russia has 5 times more murders per 100,000 inhabitants compared to, say, Germany.
That's a very big difference.

As a girl who was born and still lives here, I want to refute your words. Almost every friend of mine from the age of 14 has been verbally harassed or harassed by Oriental men who came from the former CIS countries. And until women began to fight for their right to dress as they wish (since 2018), Russian men supported their actions if the girl was dressed in some way openly.
