I'm a chiropractor and sometimes experience dizziness after a bad night's sleep. It's been traced to my occiput being out of alignment. Are there any other acupuncture points besides the ones you mentioned that would help, until I get adjusted? Also what adjustive technique do you practice?
@@drrettner I'd be focussing on your suboccipital area for sure then...I use CBP, Thompson, Accustim, Drops, Upper cervical, Diversifed, etc...whichever suits each case appropriately. :)
You're great Dr Jon 💐My Explanation is Little long
Sir I have long screen time on desktop around 10 hours daily
5 WEEKS BACK
While doing my work on desktop I started feeling dizzy hard to focus on desktop causing discomfort so I took break for few days to get symptoms resolved but after 3 days of waiting I felt better so I started doing exercise like push-up in the evening which triggered severe diziness after 30 minutes I started feeling more discomfort with dizziness and anxiety increased so the heart rate and Blood Pressure, I suddenly reached neighbour hospital for cardiovascular Testing Echo and ECH, FEW BLOOD TEST doctor said everything is okay just an anxiety but it did not stop there it continued causing discomfort making me disable to sit and work on desktop even I can't extend my sitting time because after 30 minutes I fell out of control and lying down is the only way to decrease symptoms...
Then Brain MRI, ENT Doctors Check up all are Normal.
3 WEEKS Passed no great improvement then I saw your video 2.5 weeks back and tried deep flexor test on me confirm that I can't hold that position more than 5 sec so I started doing exercise and in meantime my neurologist suggested medication to cure nerve weakness and by taking medication and deep flex strengthen exercises I achieved state of almost diziness free state and my balance while walking is improved
NOW I CAN HOLD 20 SECONDS DEDP FLEXOR
@@UnfilteredTrdersTribe Hi Kunal could you please check for PPPD. I have been experiencing this my self, you got to tell yourself, everything is fine. Practice all sort of mindfulness, and challenge yourself and have some one along with you to give you confidence. Take care
Hello Doctor, thanks for the video. I have spasmodic torticollis as well as Meniere's Disease, tinnitus, frequent headaches, and that pesky forward head posture. My C1 and C2 never fully separated. I watched your posture video and plan to try it and the techniques in this video. Do you have any other advice for me?
Thanks for your great support. I'm going to try this very simple 2 pressing techniques you have shown on your video ❤

Am watching it with vertigo god help me….😢
Check out my video on the Epley maneuver as well.
Are u ok now??
I've had vertigo for over 20 years now and my ENT told me to use Flonase everyday. After one week I started to level off. It takes time to build it up in your system. It dries the pressure inside and levels me. If I get lazy my vertigo will creep back. At that point I take Flonase twice a day - morning and night - until I feel better. It also helps me with my allergies. Hopefully you feel better. I know what you are going through. It was at a point when I couldn't get out of bed because the room was spinning.

I use these wrist bands that prevent sea sickness when I’m sailing. They have the same pressure points I just noticed you demonstrated. Now I’m thinking of using them as I’ve been having bouts with vertigo lately. What are your thoughts?
Definitely worth a try - best wishes!
I have Meniers Disease - which is chronice & quick dizzyness attacks, causing sudden unexpected falling; sometimes maaany times a day, & the frequency of the condition, varies depending if I'm @ the Coast (of British Columbia, Canada) or high in the mountains ( which is where I am now). It is more frequent & without any warning signs, @ the Coast. In the mtns, I suddenly get dizzy, but seldom fall, bcuz I get some warning, which gives me time to balance myself. I will try this approach...Thank U.
Thanks for your comment and watching...all the best!
I have the same what a nightmare
Just a word of encouragement… I had it many years ago, I had it for a few years, it WAS a nightmare. One day I woke up and it was gone. That was many many years ago. Others have experienced the same thing…. so don’t give up hope.

I’ve had a mild concussion from a bad fall resulting in a fractured humerus. Ever since, I’ve been having unsteadiness and mild dizziness almost daily. It’s been 7 weeks and my orthopedic doctor says concussion symptoms take time to heal. Will these acupressure moves help? Btw, I just had an adjustment today on my atlas with my chiropractor who specializes in the Blair upper cervical technique. Thanks so much 😊
Yes they should - looks like you are on the right path!
@@drjonsaunders Thank you Dr for your quick response! Great informative channel~ keep up the good work 👍🏼
I have not tried these exercises whilst in the midst of a severe vertigo but on the tail end with nausea and slight dizziness and they did offer relief.
Compared to other similar videos on here that for me were like medieval torture, yours were gentle which I appreciate. Your manner also kind.
I have to say these pressure point remedies seem fanciful to the uninitiated like me. May I ask do you recommend these to patients experiencing severe vertigo? As an immediate relief?
Thankyou!
Yes! They can be helpful...best wishes.
Would wearing a neck brace like the one you wear from a whiplash, help with neck pain when on your phone or iPad
No, as it would cause the muscles to weaken over time, making the problem worse.
What about vision anomalies caused by vertigo? I have been experiencing this for years after I changed profession. It led me to a serious burn out where these vision anomalies (not being able to read, especially on a white background, suffering when I look at a source of light...) where amplified. Have you ever seen that or do you have any video about that? Thanks in advance. I just saw a video and subscribed cause it seems very enlightening.
That would be an unusual symptom from a neck condition...I would see an ophthalmologist and neurologist to see if you can get any answers. Best wishes.
Vertigo like menieres do affect your eyesight too
Avoid the daylight bulbs and tubes
Cutting down on the caffeine helped me
Good tip!
Didn’t make any difference to me. Saw a neurophysio and finally the vertigo stopped, but 2 months later and it’s back. Have had MRI and it was fine. I’m so over this 😢

question: I'm getting over a battle with vertigo that started last Thursday morning on the 6th. It was my left side. Worse attack I have every experienced. It's a nightmare when you do the Epley maneuver by yourself. It would seem I got all the crystals moved and was just dealing with the vertigo "hangover" for some days. However, this a.m. I woke up a little dizzy and I had slight vertigo on my right. Did the maneuver and I believe I got that. Since last Thursday I have been sleeping at an upward angle on my adjustable bed. If I have no more vertigo on either side and I am just dealing with the after affect hangover...should I be sleeping at an angle or should I be flat on my back? I'll be making an appointment with and ENT to get checked out as the tinnitus in my left ear is louder than normally what I am used to but not sure if that will go back to where it was and it's just a part of the recovery on the hangover.

@@drjonsaunders thanks!
I wish people making these videos on vertigo would not do a little dramatic scene of what vertigo can be like. It's the last thin a person wants to see that is in search of relieving the vertigo while during an attack.
Noted!
Are there any excises I can do for balance problems. Chris
Yes, please check out my channel, as I have many videos that may be helpful for you.
I have epley maneuver . It's the worst. I hope this helps . I will comment back if it helps.
It's not pleasant, but usually does the trick! I hope you are feeling better!
Thanks for the video. Eyeglasses can help to a person who had veritgo?
If your vision isn't good, glasses could help.
A little difficult to see how to find point ST 36, as the demonstration is hidden by the text of the French translation 😢

Depends on what is causing the vertigo. I've had it constantly for 5 years.
Correct! This may help: ua-cam.com/video/oW1rlhiVS50/v-deo.html
Could it be calcium crystal’s? K2 can help redirect calcium to where it is supposed to go, in combination with D3.
Yes most common cause of vertigo for sure.
Im going to try this exercise i have vertigo 9 days to go .
I hope you feel better soon!
I first started watching this video while laying down on my side then I decided to sit up.. so I was wondering how should we be positioned when we do this? Should we stand, sit down have her legs hanging off? I sat upright in my bed my knees were not hanging off my bed but had them up sort of near my chest 👉/\ sitting like that sort of shape lol . Also should we be doing both wrists at the same time or both knees at the same time?
Any comfortable should work - you can do one side at a time...thanks for watching!

I’ve had this strange vertigo for several days now… it won’t go away, not sure if it’s from an inner ear infection or from

I went to the ER after I experienced dizziness last week. The doctor did all the tests including ecg, liver and kidney functions, orthostatic hypotension, etc. Everything was normal. Why then dizziness? He did not check ears. Could this be ears related? I experienced dizziness only when I was lying down and then got up...not otherwise. If I am sitting for a long time and if I get up, I don't feel dizzy. Any suggestions?

@@drjonsaunders you are assuming it is vertigo. Also, is there a medication for vertigo?
Sought medical care … she did the old, “there, there,” thing and told me I was old and old people get vertigo. Wanted to slap her smug face! Mom lived to 98 and with a GOOD doctor I feel like I could beat her record. Wish medical schools would kick the drug purveyors to the curb and teach how to live a century instead of pushing us into our graves as soon as we retire.
