    Good video mate very clear. If you don't want to take diverter out you can remove the side of the boiler case and the condense trap instead.

      This was the R1 model so the side panels don't come off unfortunately, you can on the later models though 👍🏽

    Brilliant video, I have just changed a pump and it went perfectly following this method and in particularly the greasing of the seals to stick them in place.

    I'd just like to say you can remove the pump without taking the bracket out you just have to be a bit aggressive and wiggle it out saves you taking the divertor out too!

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah I've tried that method as well, but I prefer this method personally. At the end of the day you gotta use whatever works best for you 👍🏽

    Great video, with the pump that you changed it for, can you just change the head for that one?

    Good stuff mate. Although just a tip, Diverter doesn't need to come out, pump will come out with it still in place, may save you a bit of time 😂👍

    Can yo change the he'd for another head which is the same? That is a silver head for another silver head? Great vid by the way. Really helpful

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  3 роки тому +1

      Yes you can change it for another Wilo head, but I don't think you'll get any new ones as Vaillant changed them to Grundfos. You can most probably get reconditioned ones or similar where you can just swap the heads over

  • @chriscook7828

    I noticed the new pump runs in the opposite direction to the old pump. Will this cause problems eg boiler getting to hot as the thermostat see the water temperature on the return?

    • @stephenjnolan
      @stephenjnolan 2 роки тому +1

      I ALSO wanted to know if the rotation of the pump caused any issues. I’m about to swap a silver clockwise with the black Grundfoss anti-clockwise. Anything we need to know ? Thanks

    Good work mate
    It would be good if you could explain why you are changing the parts and why they could go wrong

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  3 роки тому

      Thanks mate, boiler was giving F75 fault code, changed pressure sensor first and was still doing it. Pump was making a grinding noise when running so suspected it was weak and changed it out. Problem solved 👍🏽

    Watched this the other day as I was doing one, great video. So it came out and new one went in no bother at all, however, the expansion vessel pipe from the pump housing to the expansion vessel, on the housing side it just would not seal. Leaked every time and that was with new washers. I just can't understand why.
    I'm going back tomorrow with a new pipe but if that doesn't work then I'm stumped.
    Any idea?

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  2 роки тому

      The only thing I can think of is a hairline crack on either the housing or the connection piece. How did you get on when you went back?

    • @MikeeyThomson
      @MikeeyThomson 2 роки тому +1

      @@cputilitysolutions Not gonna lie I was shitting myself going back with the new pipe and the adapter for the gauge that goes in to the housing. But they worked and they sealed, thankfully. Still confused why the original didn't seal but when I put the new parts in, they felt a lot tighter to go in. It worked thankfully 👌

    When I reassembled everything and turned the water on to re-pressurise, water leaked out of the joint between the pressure gauge and the socket that it sits in on the pump housing. I tried a couple of times but it still leaks! What do think is causing that?When it's all assembled, there is a bit of play in that joint, is it supposed to be able to move a bit, or should it be tight? Maybe the pressure gauge is for a very slightly different model, but I don't think so, maybe not enough grease on the new O ring? Maybe the whole thing is ready for the skip? I hope not, but any advice would be super useful.

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  2 місяці тому

      Ah looks like you've been unfortunate with that. It's like got a hairline crack and you'll need to replace that little plastic part where the pressure gauge and expansion vessel connection goes into

  • @feriak1975
    @feriak1975 3 роки тому +1

    Thanks for the video man, did you need special tool to disconnect the Prv pipe cause i see it’s in a weird position and I don’t think normal spanner can unscrew it

    • @cputilitysolutions
      @cputilitysolutions  3 роки тому +2

      Not really mate, the PRV nut is usually only hand tight as it's got a rubber washer sealing it so I've always been able to undo it by hand 👍🏽
