Some Ghanaians are so negative that it beggars belief. Some of us from Takoradi grew up with regular train service from Sekondi to Kumasi in the late 80's and early 90's. The journey was very safe and convenient and far cheaper too. You could pay for a bed and sleep comfortably overnight while the train took you safely to your destination. Unfortunately the government of JJ Rawlings collapsed it before he left power in 2000. Let's appreciate the efforts been made to revive our railroad so we can reduce the numerous road access and also create cheap and essy access for farm produce in the hinterlands to get to the cities and big towns.
We need more of this that can run across regions and countries in Africa . Not only in Ghana. Let's collaborate with other African countries, that's how we can grow . Its a regional train made for frequent short distances. I dint know on which route it will be used but in Poland its used only on regional low demand freequent routes. Its something like "High speed subway"
