Kingdom of Heaven is indeed an amazing film. I think it starts slow but the intensity of emotion, the action scenes, and the real message of the film come through in the last 45 minutes during the siege of Jerusalem. “If this is indeed the kingdom of heaven, let God do with it as He wills.”
I get very tired of Hollywood portraying the Templars as bad. I like Kingdom of Heaven but the directors desperation to portray Muslims as peaceful victims was worth more than a few eye rolls.
@@karogevorkyan6928So you think Saladin gave mercy to all the citizens of Jerusalem but wouldn’t simply offer his help to somebody he deeply respects? Your hate blinds you. Im not muslim but Saladin is one of the greatest rulers in history.

I loved the director's cut of 'Kingdom of Heaven', far more than the theatrical release. 'Robin Hood' was also a good film, although I wish there had been a second part to it. The others, I'll have to catch. Thanks! :)
Naa although i loved the movie. It basicly puts modern morals ideals and codes into a historical time period. They dont act like people from those times. It piants it very black and white when it was in fact very complicated.
It's horribly inaccurate. Does little to mention the prior 300 years of Muslim barbarism in the middle East. I doubt people even know that prior to the rape and conquest by Islam the Middle East was majority Christian.
Other than coming across as a snobby "above it all" nonbeliever that you are so wise and enlightened that you look down on the crusades from your pedestal. It was actually a good video and list, I enjoyed it 👍
He actually sounded pretty ignorant because the enmity between Muslims and Christians or other faiths started by Arab Muslims invading countries one after another. Crusades were AFTER Muslims invaded the West and if Christians didn't fight back, there would be no difference between West and Middle East today. Both would be a shithole run by Islamists.
Your monologue was incredibly cringe. Humanity didn’t just “decide” to divide itself along religious differences. Humans have always believed in the divine. Furthermore, the Crusades were not what caused enmity between Muslims and Christians. The Crusades were taking back previously Christian lands which had been invaded and conquered by Muslims, who were continuing to burn across Europe without any sign of stopping.
Some of the Crusaders only went to fight for Land/Wealth while others were devout Christians. Some of the Crusades were disasters e.g. the children’s crusade. Scholars are still arguing about how many Crusades actually took place. I’ve seen 8 or 9 listed but in one book there were some minor ones making it 11. In one older book it was written that King Richard rode up to a castle by himself and they surrendered. It was also written that he cut a Saracen soldier in half while on horseback. He was a brute and was killed while attacking a castle in Britain.

Please do some historical research. To blame Christianity for starting religious military conflicts is highly inaccurate. From its beginning Christianity spread through peaceful and willing conversions, it was not until the continued militaristic expansion of the muslims that Pope Uban II finally called for the 1st Crusade. Before islam was created by muhammad in the 7th century all of the land bordering the Mediterranean was Christian, this includes the Levant and North Africa. Even before the 1st Crusade Christians on the Iberian Peninsula were attempting to defend themselves from muslims taking the entire peninsula.
The crusades were INSTIGATED by the Seljuks invading Anatolia which was part of the Byzantine empire. They had killed and taken Armenian lands prior. Pope Urban II offered assistance to defend them lest they be killed or become slaves under islamic law.
