Brief story, In 2009 when this came out, I was in Austin TX, I stopped by a dealership in looked at a ZR1 just like this.
I thought I will never be able to afford a 130K car with 638HP, the BMW1000R came out at the same time and you could get a free supervised test ride and I did, I'm a motorcycle freak, and love cars almost as much, well years went by, then the LS7 Z28 came out, overpriced and stripped down, no not quite what I wanted.
Then the ZL1 650 hp for 70K, what a deal, more hp then a C6 ZR1, I know the ZR1 lighter and faster.
In the end the ZR1 C7 is the most beautiful engine design ever with port injection, titanium rods, etc, it is still a marvel.
At 6.4 280 I just can't fit comfortably, but if you have a ZR1 C6, you have a master peice !
C7 zr1 is a brute of a car. C6 zr1 n z06 are both worth the cash. There all heaven for those yhat KNOW cars
I have a 2011 ZR-1 and I cannot say enough good things about it, I love it. I have just a lower pulley on it making 15psi and it's such an awesome platform. At some point I'll send it to you guys to turn it into a 2650 fire breathing monster.

As would venz amg gts, various porsches, zondas, koenegseggs, gt500, fird gt, viper acr, nissan gtr, lambos, ferraris, mclarens , list goes on a few more. Plaid can suck it! As for str8 line there are more yhan 12 or 15 that can beat it before 1/2 mile but after 1/4
That Cyber Gray is an amazing color - and 700whp is simply astonishing for a bolt on package - Bravo LMR!

I've always preferred builds that were done properly while maintaining stock feel and sound. I'm not a fan of loud raspy cars so this is cool to see with that big hp bump

C6 is definitely my favorite, esp the ZR1. What a great platform to modify. Manual trans and all that power makes the fun-to-drive factor off the charts. For those reasons, I would take it over the C8.

@johnh1932 dude, just thonk about this: 3100#s - that tiny ass mclaren 720s weight! Thats EXCELLENT for track. Zr1 is big boss, but i like that z with fbo it can make same power at 500#s less. Plus price drop significantly. Bur id take either for my only car for remainder of my life.✌️

Great ZR1! But, not a sleeper and not old by any stretch. Old cars are like 1950s up to 70s, before OBD, etc.😀🛠️
I thought the c6 zr1 were putting out ±640hp from factory? @4:50
so, did this one have flex fuel? What are the numbers if you run this package on E85.
E85 would put this setup over 800rwhp. 💪

Torque seems low my simple bolt on zr1 is making 650/654 with stock snout tb and intake. Any idea what’s causing that

@@gearheadflicks Wow, 700 wheel is amazing. I have 663rwhp on mine with only pullies, headers, E85, and tune. Guess I need to do those other mods that LMR did to get mine into hopefully the mid 700’s.
