- Donald Tusk addressed the Polish parliament after it voted in favour of him as prime minister.

He spoke out against xenophobia while laying out his principles. 'I protest against the marginalisation of Poland's role in the international area,' he said. The new Polish leader added: 'I protest against the xenophobia introduced by the authorities into public debate.' He also addressed the issues of migration and media freedom.

@@GrzegorzBrzeczyszczykiew-yq5vv W kilku krajach nie mówię że w Polsce jest źle ale mieszkając w większym polskim mieście widzę codziennie więcej obcokrajowców (pomijając już Ukraińców) niż widziałem będąc w północnych Włoszech albo Saksonii, wątpię żeby uchodźcy zjeżdżali to tak chętnie jak do Brukseli gdzie rzeczywiście można by ich nazwać problemem ale PiS głośno krzyczał że nie wpuszczą imigrantów a i takich wpuścili. W Szwecji nie byłem ale statystycznie pod każdym prawie względem to państwo ma się lepiej a uchodźcy są problemem przez brak działań integracyjnych i wpuszczanie ich na hama a mimo to szwedzkie społeczeństwo nadal lepiej funkcjonuje niż polskie.

I think Poland is headed down a path of civil war. Because of Russia, so much money and armaments have been funnelled into Polish civilian hands that the state is very militarised. What happens to a deeply militarised but deeply polarised state?
Every time it has ever happened, it resulted in civil war. Except Israel. Which came fairly close to it last year with very heavy political infighting between the secular Left, the nationalist right and the religious centre.
I don't think Donald Tusk recognises the extreme anti-immigrant fervour in most of eastern Poland, especially since the majority of Poles in these areas DID experience multiculturalism: they are returnees from elsewhere in Europe. Nearly everyone in my family who lives in eastern Poland, mostly Podkarpacie (by far the most right wing province) has, at some point of their life, lived abroad. Most often the UK, Italy, Netherlands and Sweden. The feeling is universal: they do not want at home what they saw there.
My only sadness goes to the imminent harassment of immigrants in Poland, as well as any likely lone wolf attacks, terrorism or murders against immigrants, which is increasingly likely. They aren't to blame for it but don't understand why they're unwanted. Poland will change irreconcilably if by the time of the next election, thousands of non-Poles will become "Poles" in a citizenship sense. Most people in the East won't tolerate it.
Learn to be tolerate of each other and then it does not matter who your neighbour is
