I was a student in the UK (from Poland) and originally planned to stay, I did not want to change the prevailing culture - I wanted to adjust to and participate in British culture. I went to Asia after graduating, then Brexit happened, things have turned out differently.
I'm a Muslim and I've been a refugee most of my life and I feel that each country should have a right to decide if they want to allow refugees or not. Problem is that most of people going to Europe are not refugees but people who used the war in Syria and Iraq to join the refugee wave from those countries and try to get to EU without any documentation or visas.

I was student in Paris in 1981 when the martial law was imposed in Poland, l remember how polish used to flee to western Europe, the west German or French didn't not turned them away. Why?
