Sharon. That’s the right family you’re thinking of. Ozzy was also the singer of Black Sabbath

  • @MadMattInc1

Quick back ground, Ozzy is from the UK, he was the middle child, two older sisters, and two younger brothers, after years of bullying (and S assault) he left school at 15 and started odd jobs that didn't pay well, at one point getting arrested trying to steal clothing, when The Beatles "She Loves You" came out, he knew then that all he wanted was to start playing rock.
Ozzy started as the Singer for Black Sabbath, later picking up Dio as Ozzy went solo, and after Dio, would frequently change singers, even having Ozzy and Dio do periodic returns for tours. Ozzy is married to Sharon, she was his second wife. He broke up with the first one before leaving Sabbath, he had already become estranged with them at the time. He has 2 girls and one son with Sharon, who also became his manager when he went solo.
He's had some close members in his solo band but Randy Rhoads had to be his closest band mate, helping to write music for his first 2 solo outings, and being lead guitar. An air plane crash killed him, their costume/makeup designer, and tour buss driver (who was flying the plane.) In time Ozzy got over the depression of that loss, but you can tell he still feels it any time Rhoads is brought up, more or less being as close if not closer to him than any brother could have been.
If you honestly haven't seen his solo work, check out Ozzy's Bark at the Moon, No More Tears, Mama I'm Coming Home (Mama is a nickname he has for Sharon), Shot in the Dark, and most recently Ordinary Man where he co sings with Elton John, and in the video he watches back clips of his life. Ozzy hasn't stopped yet, but it's becoming a bit obvious he's starting to feel his age.

At a concert, someone threw a dead bat on the stage. Ozzy thought it was a rubber bat and bit its head off. He had to get a series of rabbies shots.

1970 was a big year for hard rock and metal!
    Motorhead - Ace Of Spades
    AC/DC - Back In Black
Black Sabbath - Heaven And Hell
    Judas Priest - British Steel
And not to mention these other great albums
    Rush - Permanent Waves
    REO Speedwagon - Hi Infidelity
Bob Seger - Against The Wind
J Geils Band - Love Stinks
What a greatvtime in rock and other music - I was 19 and 20 years old!!

Great choice James, any of Ozzy`s stuff with Randy Rhoads on guitar. Yes you are right about his wife Sharon, she was his manager after he was kicked out of Black Sabbath. Later they had a reality show called The Osbournes, You probably remember that. You are on a roll with these reactions, loving the Rush stuff too.

Three Groups who cared about people. r-US-h about life (Rush song Vital Signs). Ozzy about War and Loving (Crazy Train). Alice Cooper being an evil guy like an actor on TV. Who don't mind playing the bad guy if it shocks you to thinking. (Fresh Blood). These people write a lot about Caring about life. They have tons of songs to make people think of life back in the day and still have meaning today... Thanks for being open minded and caring.

If you want to try another masterpiece, try this John Lennon (Beatles) song covered by Amy Lee of Evelanescence
