LFR FAMILY here’s another wicked drum solo....musically it’s not that brilliant. However, the WAY he plays it is freaking awesome!!!! I think it’s the sickest drum solo ever!!! Motley Crüe Wild Side...ua-cam.com/video/4Hihge6FFVw/v-deo.html
I've seen Godsmack twice so far and the drum battle never gets old. It's epic when you're there.
LFR FAMILY drum battles are always fun!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
LFR FAMILY they paid respect to Neil peart!!!!
Renee Allen yep tommy is soooo good!!!! Vince was my neighbor for like 3 years when I first moved to Vegas when I was 18. I used to get his mail because they stuck in the wrong slot 🤣🤣🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Sully. the guy playiiiiing w/ his hands in the beg., is the the lead singer for the group!
Richard Oberlander and a guitarist as well just because he can
Sully also use to play drums for another band before Godsmack. That's what I heard anyhow
Sully started out playing drums before he moved on a became the lead singer for godsmack
Yup, Salazar Erna - underrated one-man-band)
Sully was the drummer for Godsmack back about the time they started getting big.. Then another dude than Shannon came along
if you noticed the payed homage to the greatest drummer of all time.neil peart from rush
Nick McNickle They also paid homage to the greatest drummer of all time John Bonham from Led Zeppelin
That’s the solo section from Tom Sawyer. They include that little piece in almost all their variations of this little half time show. I’ve seen them almost 5 times in my hometown & it never fails to impress
I got Danny Carey from TOOL..
Notice how VERY few can do a homage to one of the greatest druumers of all time, Buddy Rich? Its near impossible to mimic him
Moby Dick was at the end
Just for the fact that they are totally having a ball makes this so much more to watch. Sully is really one amazing and talented man.
I love it when Shannon Larkin goes all Animal from the Muppets!! He’s Phenomenal!!!!
Oh goodie! Yes, I'm a grown-ass man that said "Oh goodie!". Love this performance.
Shannon Larkin looks like he has a 9 foot wingspan... dude is a beast!!!
One of my friends she referred to him as having spaghetti arms
And to think....he was the Drummer for Ugly Kid Joe...lol...Larkin is a BEAST behind that kit
Consistently one of the most entertaining drummers to watch, too.
John Bonham's solo of Moby Dick.... Now that's old school talent! ❤️
He was the drummer for Led Zeppelin... RIP Bonzo!
This is talent 🙄🙄. If not better
I took my son to see Godsmack in Nashville, think he was about 14 or so.
This totally blew us away! This was worth the price of admission by it's self.
The would be I that suggested the battle of drums after your first Godsmack reaction. The homie from Cali keeping that love from coast to coast!
THANKS BIG DAWG!!! 🔥
Yeah Maaaaaan!. I don't know if I was the first first one but I know I was up there......top 3 for sure. Haha. But thank you Brotha! We need this entertainment during this damn quarantine. Another drummer you'll enjoy is Morgan Rose from SevenDust! In my opinion, he comes pretty damn close to being on Danny Carey's level. Seven Dust is from Atlanta. Check them out.
This is by far my favorite reaction LFR has ever done! Bro, you make my day with how excited you get. But yeah, Godsmack is an awesome band all way around!!!
You have to see Buddy Rich- The impossible drum solo. Greatest drummer of all drummers.
Dude, beat me to it. Even Peart respected him
Gene Krupa...
Buddy Rich was the pioneer, after him John Bonham and Keith Moon. The rest is history.
I can watch this drum battle over and over!! I love how they pay homage to both Peart and Bonham. Two of the GOAT drummers. Always fun to watch this.
I’ve seen them several times live and they never disappoint when Sully and Shannon come out and battle on the drums! It’s a big highlight of their shows and so much fun to watch!💯
IMO this is the BEST drum battle ever! Epic Sully & Shannon!!!!!!!!
I can actually add a bit to the background of both drummers. Sully Erna (bongo guy) has been playing drums since he was 3 years old when he started taking lessons, at age 8 he demolished an 18 year old at playing a piece because the instructor was so frustrated and wanted to show how much better this 8 year old was. Shannon Larkin who plays drums in Sully's band massively inspired Sully and a bunch of other local drummers in their area back in the late 80's or early 90's because he had an extremely animated way of playing the drums that hadn't been seen before. You might enjoy Sully's autobiography 'The Paths We Choose' it's a really interesting read, he actually grew up kinda ghetto, when he was about 7 some guy robbed a local hunting supply store and got a hold of a crossbow which he shot at Sully's house for fun and narrowly missed hitting Sully in the head by no more than 2 or 3 inches while he was watching morning cartoons and eating his cereal.
This is quality content right here.
It was your homie The Sparked Brain who told you to check this out! Crazy thing is Sully is their lead singer! Lead singer plays drums like a boss!..... Slipknot's drummer Jay Weinberg does a lot of drum cams on him while playing live. He is insane. Just do a search and you will find tons of them and they are usually good quality.
Sully started his career as a drummer. One of the bands he was in was Ugly Kid Joe.
@@ericvanschaick5252 shannon was in ugly kid joe not sully
Seen them perform this live twice.. Fuckin amazing!! 🤘 Next up by Godsmack, Straight Out of Line
Two big 🤘🤘 up!
They put on a hell of a show.
I love that Music Moves you. My soul needs music for my sanity.
No one does godsmack! Please keep it coming! They are so underrated!
anything Godsmack and Sully Erna I get goosebumps the power of their music is just enchanting
Seen Godsmack live at least 8 times and they ALWAYS put on a great show! 🤘
This was just amazing... haven't seen that yet... just fantastic... Sully is out of this world... Vocalist, Guitar player and a Drum Fucking Master!!! Jesus!!!
Check out Cryin' Like a Bitch from Godsmack also!!!
Knowing how much you like drums I knew you would like godsmack! Sully- lead singer/ guitar/ and yes even drums! The serenity of you like the drums
This was dope thank you for doing this I seen these guys twice and concert and it's an awesome drum battle in person
I was waiting for this one 🔥
Btw: I LOVE your passion for music ❤️
Saw this live when they toured with Shinedown..blew my mind!!!
Thank you, Van, for keeping our GREAT music alive... WE NEED THIS today!! ❤
Saw this live in Dec!!! Beyond Awesome!! Never heard them before. Hubby took me and i had the best time!!!
I've seen them do that live it is an experience to say the least
hell yes it is!
Saw them live!! Best part of the show by far! Try Under your scars. Sully on piano
So much better when you're there live. What an amazing show.
Thank you!! This is the one I requested a while back!! Woohoo!!
I’ve seen Godsmack twice in concert. They are awesome in concert. And yes I’ve seen the drum battle in person.
That was me who told you to check this out. And I provided the link too!!!
Seeing them do this is even better in person. We just saw them in May and it was phenomenal....and I took video of it myself and is a great memory but seeing in person if your able is a must
I made this suggestion a couple days ago. Thanks for the reaction!
NICE! I went to 1 Godsmack show and they did this crazy drum battle in that show too....MAN! It's soooo friggin cool to watch! The show was an absolute TREAT....Before Godsmack we had Halestorm and the drummer (Lzzy Hales brother....sorry I don't know his name) he did a drum solo towards the end of their set and he was just doing some crazy stuff. He kept grabbing bigger and bigger drum sticks as he went along and then Godsmack....just WOW!
Wasn't at this show but i saw them do this at an Uproar Fest and it it was probably my favorite part of the set
Check out Shannon Larkin's first band, Wrathchild America. Fantastic music flying under the radar.
You're welcome !! I requested this on your RATM "Killing in the Name" reaction back in March :) I've been waitin' to see you smiling with this one !!!
I've been lucky enough to have seen this live 4 times and gets better each time they do it! Glad you also enjoyed Sully and Shannon going ham
Just an enjoyable reaction video. I love watching people vibe out and genuine enjoy the shit. Worth a subscribe in my book!
that was fun to watch A little bit of YYZ and Tom Sawyer is always good for the soul RIP Neil
Yo brother, love the videos. I love seeing how much you appreciate music, and I think you should check out Jeff Buckley. He died before he really even got started, but with the one album he did release he was already considered by many as one of the best singers ever. If you get the chance maybe check out one of these.
“Last Goodbye”
“Lover You should have come over”
“If you see her, Say hello”
“Hallelujah”
The first two songs are from his album “Grace” and last two are covers. After he release those covers the writers of each song basically acknowledged that the songs belonged to Jeff now because of how great they were. Keep doing what you do man.
Jeff Buckley passed away?....oh no. I didn't know that.....beautiful voice
As a musician I can tell you that it took weeks of practice to work this all out. Everything had to be perfect before it was ever played live. I would not want to be the sound man on this one. What a nightmare getting all this sound mixed right. Drums always drown out the guitar and two drum sets blaring at once would be a tough mix to get right. This is a masterpiece of hard work and endless practice! Sully is one bad ass drummer as is the other. Two masters working together like this is a tough thing to get perfect!
Bro I knew you’d love this one. Love the appreciation for the craftsmanship of these musicians. I was right to recommend it. Keep on rocking
I'm so happy you found this epic INSANE drum solo! It's one of the best ever !!!
I take back my comment on the Voodoo video. I didn’t realize until I went through the playlist! I AM SO HYPE.
I had the privilege of seeing this live when they played with Shinedown...
I saw this live in Atlanta during crew fest. It was the highlight of the show hands down
I was lucky enough to see one of these drum battles live it was epic
This is what I love about rock and metal bands... One of those drummers is Sully Erna, the lead singer. Roles are flipped, you do what you love, more than one person can play the same instrument... No rules. It all makes great music, and amazing live shows like this. Multi talented musicians for real!!
I love your videos so much and saw how much you love drummers and thought I write you a comment that you should react to Godsmack drum battle... And then I find this 🤭 you have definitely a new subscriber 🤘🏻
Much love
I’m a year late on this one but the drum battle live blew my mind. I love it. They’re a must see live
Van I am surprised you never reached to John bontam of zepplin drum solo. I think you would enjoy it.
Man I love you brother! Finding little "hidden gems" like this is gold to me :)
Welcome to the world of music! It knows no color! Enjoy brother! God bless!
Loved the reaction!!!!!! EPIC drum battle!!!!
The pure joy on your face! Haha loved it!
Next you need to do this one for another blow your mind drum performance. Danny Carey Tool live performance of Pneuma.
Sully Erna ( from Godsmack) on Bongo's is such a spectacle... he jams....he knows his Sugar Honey Ice Tea!!!
I enjoy seeing reactions of people that don't normally listen to metal. Over 20 years ago, I found my comfort home in metal. Used to be that everyone thought it was all satanic. Old school stuck with a motif but, as it has progressed, it has yielded the deep thoughts of how people feel or what they observe. SO, I'm glad to see an exploration of what our fellow humans have to offer or what they have to say. A true last media to say what's on yur mind! Happy exploring! Life is full of suprises!
The crazy part of it all is the guy playing the bongo drums is also the singer for the band
Silly the guy playing the bongos and combos is actually the vocalist for the group
💪😎💋
I would have requested ACDC thunderstruck but I see you've already did that so good job lol
Saw this live twice, amazing live shows!
Great reaction really need to check out spiral live in Las Vegas great drum work from silly lead singer🤘 best reaction I've seen in a long time SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA
Sully is an incredible multi instrumentalist, but the drums are his favorite. When Shannon replaced the original drummer (Tommy), Sully used more than just the bongos to battle since Shannon could match his skill level. I have been watching these drum battles for over 20 years! They are incredible live! Cannot wait for the upcoming Godsmack album they are finishing up! ❤
Sully Erna is legit one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Actually played poker with him a couple times. Dude cashed the World Series of Poker Main Event 2 or 3 years in a row which is crazy hard to do.
Best part of their shows. 🤘🤘
I seen this live in Houston a few years back. It’s amazing!!!
I saw these guys do this battle at one of their shows. It's so cool
You should check out more of Godsmack!!!
You need to see Pete Weber from the band Havok he is one heck of an under rated drummer..
You can hear them HIT THAT THANGGGGGGG
David Laplante 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sully, Shannon you guys were awesome!!!! Loved the Money Dick
You good homie its THE drum battle for godsmack
The one who starts on the bingo is the lead singer.. Has a Boston cat. Super dope
Unreal huh?! I LOVE THIS!!!
You should check out some of Joey Jordisons drum cams...Disasterpiece and Heretic Anthem.
Saw this live in Houston. Got video. It was amazing!
If you like drummers. You need to check out the GOAT....Buddy Rich. Many of today's top drummers will say that Buddy Rich is definitely the greatest. The speed at which he plays is incredible.
Take care ✌
See I've been a fan of Godsmack since 1999. For real. But somehow I have never seen this before. This is honestly why I even watch reactions, so I can find new music and also to see others find new music.
When you have a spare sec check out Godsmack - Straight Out Of Line if you haven't already.
Check out Lars Ulrich's drumsolo from Live Shit Binge and Purge... also a pretty dope solo
Wow how awesome 👏🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
I love that you're into so much music. I'm subscribing

Godsmack will forever be one of my favorite bands
Love it! More tool..
Hi, I just subscribed. Seen you did some classic rock. I’ve love a band I don’t think you’ve done yet. Shinedown, Sound of Madness heavy drums. There very good. 🔥
I totally got to see this in concert!
You should check out Sully Erna playing The Spirit of Radio by Rush on the drums! He is awesome!
yeah that was me.....a 100 times lol
I’ve been to 3 Godsmack shows, I never went to the shows for them it was always whoever they were touring with but I always enjoyed their performance a ton cause of these damn drum battles.... amazing!! Dropping my daily request for Tool - “Schism”
