- Flick hit's the road in search of movies and the meaning of life. Blu-rays seem to be the only thing that will fulfill my movie addiction.
I go to a few pawn shops a book store that sells movies.. The Irony. I also visit a local used DVD/Blu-ray Store along with Target. Rainy days give me road rage. SUBSCRIBE AND COMMENT YOUR INNER THOUGHTS!

John you are legitimately funny, nothing fake about it at all hahahaha
Chris Stuckmann woah, this is a historic comment
Michael Gonsalves
I know right, what a relic
I am proud to tell Chris Stuckmann and John Flickinger have a better bromance and chemistry than most actors in movies 9 years later in Dec 2019
What's up Chris stickman !!!
Haha, Christopher
There's something about a flick trip in the rain I find very relaxing.
Does anybody else find these old videos strangely comforting/relaxing? Maybe it’s knowing how much simpler the world was then even watching mundane tasks make me wish I could go back
Same! They're insanely comforting and just bring me back to a much simpler time in life
watching movies on a rainy day is the best!
Not just any movies. The ones which adds to the mood. Mostly horror comedy or fantasy / medieval movies
Yep, Well now its Mega Replay.
I love this flick trip because how relatable John is. This video is the story of my life lol thank you John
When you picked up Skyline i literally yelled "NOOOOOO!".... then you threw it on the ground so all good.
It's sickening how alike our blu ray addiction is. I have the same shops here and I'm always left pissed off about the over priced ones. I too will walk in knowing its over priced, pick it up, stare at it, put it down and walk out. I think I pee'd a little when you threw skyline at half price.
If this video ever went down I’d be so sad. It’s just such a fun experience
@Reborn8303 That's why I make the vids, for comments like that. Glad you appreciate them.
i love going back to these old vids
Same John, different body, love it! These old videos are gold man!
"Society is the Cancer on my Life"... Story of my Life John.
Bring back the flick trips with the character arcs
@RobinsTaste Yeah Mens Privates, I too share the humor. Over the Top is the best thing since sliced bread.
@elliotnicklin Thanks its my only sorta good impression, glad you noticed.
@Househead4life38 Thank you and Im glad its in a good way too...
@JTOwens89 Yeah the target fast cam made me giggle too, the foot steps did have a chucky vibe. Yeah that store needs to learn how to prices items. They still have the same movies from 2 years ago collecting dust.
@FilmFanPete Thanks, yeah I think I will do more POV... Im not talking about youtube vids either... ok yes I am.
fort wayne
@kiddy2686 Yeah I get chills just thinking about it, the opening to that movie is why I own a blu ray player.
@BreaktheChainsofFate I agree its relaxing.
another great video. flickpick just gets better and better!
Only just watched this video and had to stop it due to you throwing skyline on the floor, I couldn't stop laughing pure comedy genius, I did finish it after I calmed down. Good stuff john!
My favorite Episode!!!!
Iconic
@CinematicGalaxy Yeah, that's been the routine so far. I of course still watch my DVD's and enjoy them, but once you make the transition to Blu-ray, you really do start to notice the difference in quality.
I can always count on you to make me laugh even when im having a bad day!
@giggleblaggle Yeah I usually go to 7 pawn shops on a weekly basis and have found myself buy less and less. I usually walk in look at the blu-rays and leave within 40 seconds.
@SequelFan Yeah just snow already its December, the snow usually melts away within minutes.
John your videos make my day.I love this flick trip your angry trough the whole video love it
@rccheeze its the truth or death and Im not ready to die.
@Sox1512 Yeah I'm surprised how many people truly hate that damn movie. I have hope for humanity after all.
You're the reason I try to buy blu-rays more often. I want a sweet ass movie collection like yours one day :)
Lol loved the introduction what a dialogue
Awesome video .. you are funny.
Laughed my ass off, as always man! Great video! I especially enjoyed the frenzied Target run-through POV! :)
@twocanplayatthat I was looking for a trash can, but the floor worked too.
Half-Price Books prices are ridiculous. I quit bothering with them a long time ago. Used dvd stores with a crappy selection, a bad smell, and horrible prices have a knack for ruining my day. The Chucky cam in Target was hilarious! Looking forward to the top 10s.
I agree Half Priced Books is overpriced especially for used movies. I paid $8 or $9 bucks for John Carpenter's The Thing used and a week later saw it at a local store for $3 new.
@aerodude73 Yeah I know, I honestly would put it in the top 10.
Love these videoes :)!
I miss Half Price books so much! They had one in Milwaukee, where I grew up. Then i moved across the country and I was taken away from my love! I always got my old musicals from there for like $3. They also had original cast recordings of broadway musicals from the 60's for like $2.
@irockmysocks1111 Thanks glad someone did, top 10's on the way.
@EstherIsReally33 I was just Merrillville last week, I didn't see a Disc Replay anywhere. I went to the best buy though. Yes its Fort Wayne.
@Cautionitscoolcat Yeah the people who work there care too much.
Ohh man i love your videos! Its sooo funny!
As soon as you picked up Skyline I knew exactly what you were going to do with it, but I still laughed so hard I nearly fell out of my chair hahaha
@paudiemaguire1 Yeah when each DVD only cost 2 dollars separately.
@acooper37 Yeah I always forget I have them.
love this video the skyline video drop is classic mad funny.
@matt11708 Thanks pal.
@Ninkyo893 I feel you, but as a film fan, I'd keep them as relics, if you get what I mean. I even keep my old VHS tapes for nostalgic purposes and as a reminder for how much has changed, lol.
@subzeromr69er I agree it kind of makes your feel like your in your own little world of foggy windows. To me its blu-ray or nothing, When I look at dvds on my tv all I see is the compression and low bit rate, its a curse.
That's funny that you picked up House Arrest. I remember watching that when i was young, so just a few days ago i watched it on youtube.
I actually did get excited when the flick announced he was doing more top 10 videos.
LMFAO @ 2:07 . I feel ya brutha on that one....Wish I had the two hours of my life back I wasted on that piece of doo-doo! Dude, let me just say I enjoy the hell out of your videos...they bring a smile to my face after a long, tiring, wrist slitting inducing day at work dealing with stupid people....and dammit, after watching your newest video, the world seems like a little bit better place to be. :)
@TheLApitfighter Thanks, yeah going for a more depressed and angry vibe.
@TyJensenable Yeah Battle Los Angles was barley watchable, it had a few good parts. But I could never watch it again.
..... I did top 10 blu-rays, Top 10 dinseys and my fav top 10 christmas movies all in December.
when you threw skyline on the florr i shat. too funny bro!
@finalfuryan I know it would be awesome, I just hope my head goes through the windshield it would make it even more epic.
Dude when you dropped Skyline I lost it lmao
Great video...l've felt your pain many times. I usually rationalize a purchase though!
I lost it when you tossed skyline fucking brilliant haha
LOL at the way you threw Skyline like it was a peice of trash, probz in a secluded area with no cameras. xD
Be careful in that Pawn Shop! I hear there is a crazy GIMP in the basement! Haha!
@90sStyle Blue Lips? Where?
@FuryoftheFilmFan I like the process of making one... just not the actual baby. By entertainment do you mean agony haha.
good video john.
LOL keep posting the epicness.
I live in Columbia City, that's so weird man haha! glad to see a fellow youtuber from Indiana :)
2:05 was so funny!! lol your great!!
@leebrown2222 Thanks man.
@MatthewLedZepfan Well people that work at yours have been out and seen prices of movies lately. At mine they still think its 2006 and blu ray just came out.
@JimboEdo Yeah without humor there would be just pain.
@TheRamrod100 Paul Greengrass filmed this video.. sorry.
Best time to get movies at Half Price books is when they are doing the sale week.
Wait - you haven't/hadn't watched SAVING PVT RYAN on blu-ray yet?!?! EPIC film, great transfer, superb audio. Now you'll have to redo your Top 10 List.
I know I'm gonna be hated for saying this. But Saving Private Ryan cracks me up! I got a wierd comedysency, I know, but its so over the top that I burst out laughting out for an eternity.
i like driving in the rain you get more privecy from both your rear view mirrors people cant see you and more relaxing no sun on your face but you have to drive extra carefull with dvds i stick with them i am faithfull in return they will always be more low price and most of my collection is dvd so why change not that much difference somtimes you get tired of changing what you have more of
4:00 the flick pick turns into a wild rabid turkey and makes a weird gobbling sound
your videos are depressing... I love it!
Lukynumber07 Agreed
I LOVE THE FLICK PICK!
thought you lived here, you went to that cash america on coliseum by kmart right, i buy stuff from there all the time? i went to the mega replay also, not that many blu rays i picked up a few, it seems like the older place had more stuff, maybe its because it was smaller so it was packed full
Lmao When He throws skyline at 2:07
@dukk77777 Yeah it just kept pouring out and it was pure truth.
every DVD at my Halfpriced books cost 4 bucks (excluding newer releases which are 10 dollars). And most blurays cost 8-10 dollars.
I've had the Blu-ray addiction as well now over the past couple years. It's so sad that 90% of my movie collection is DVD and there's no way in hell I'll be able to replace them all. But as a movie fan and collector, I try to remain optimistic and look at my DVD's as a piece of history with nostalgic memories. (Geez, that wasn't too corny, was it? lol...)
Love your videos. Sometimes I can't stand people driving either. I don't like cold rain, or snow, though that's why I live in south Florida (don't go to Miami much at all cause the drivers there are the worse lol). Have you ever watched "Lust in the Dust"? if so, what's your opinion of it?
John Its not the violence that sets men apart, it is the distance that they are willing to go. Spoken by Tom Hardy in Lawless.
That piece of shit Skyline movie was $14.99? That shit's not worth 1 cent.
well he did throw it on the ground.
***** Oh yeah. It deserved it.
Mr. GMAN's Channel
That moment when it hits the deck I laughed so hard. This is one of the funniest rants ever!
LOL at 4:14, that was great.
@telomerase1978 It felt good to do it too.
hilarious walberg impression XD
@emolnar20012 haha thats retro man!
John can you do more flick trips in the rain, I need it I want it
@deadeyeslave To be honest I never have time to watch movies, as for the other things... I don't record everything in my life haha.
No fair. John. You have movie stores that sell cheap blue rays. I barely have any stores that do that.
Count yourself lucky, I have to drive an hour to a shop that even remotely sells blu rays, and they have less of a selection than that disc replay place you went into
