- New Flick Trip for 04/28/12. I go to Best Buy and take full advantage of the trade and save deal. I also forget my trade in DVD's at home and have to improvise in order to survive. I think the next big innovation in movie format will be a 4K blu ray and then, it'll all be digital, so I think collecting blu rays will is a cool thing to collect, in 30-40 years time it'll our kids will be collecting blu rays because it'll be the last physical format of Movies like today's kids collect Vinyls because it was the best physical form of Music.

I live at walmart I go there almost every day. Best buy currently has all of the same movies but cheaper. And if you use the trade and save deal you cant beat 5 dollar movies.

@chicken855 never trade them in at FYE they gave me only 5 bucks for am extra copy of losy season six i got off of amazon. It was 25 dollars for it (technically)

I don't have a blue-ray machine but, when I get one the first movie that I will re-buy is the 2009 movie, 'Agora'. It's based on a true story about the fall of the Library of Alexandria and the murder of the Philosopher Hypatia. This is a collectors movie because, it was sadly blocked from wide release in the US. Hypatia is though to have an IQ of 170-210.
This is the one of the most powerful scenes in this Epic movie.

Nice vlog and update! I am from the disco days. lol..Boy, I am old! I use to with my friends and go to the disco night clubs. Different world back then. Peopla had better attitudes and smiling more. Peopla ha d a ball at these disco clubs. Awesome music and fun clothes. Had my hair feathered style and white bell bottoms ,huckapoo shirts,puka beas and platform shoes...Pierre Cardin Cologne! I traded in my daughters Dora DVDs to save 5 dollars per $9.99 blu-rays. She cried when she found out. I just had to do it I am so ashamed yet so elated at the same time.

BTW I picked up Psycho too. Great choice good transfer... Tempted to get JFK too.. Wish it would go lower tho. Let me know how cool hand luke was if u get around to it.. Wasnt sure about how many times id actually watch it but for 5$ you cant go wrong for a classic
I don't know if you like the tv show supernatural but I picked up the first six seasons on bluray for 18.99 each at best buy they avg around 49.99-59.99. I know there were some other shows on discount there but I think the deal may have expired. Anyways I always love Blu ray sales at best buy

not sure if I commented this to you before (or someone else) - but you should check out Torque (2004) - It has 2 really good dvd commentaries. Cast Commentary is really fun.

You should pick up Hodejegerne/Headhunters (the first one is the original, norwegian title) It's awesome, if you can watch a movie where they don't speak english

they just do it to recycle the DVDs responsibly so it dosent matter if its good of if it works. You can do this a futureshop too if you live in canada.
I don't know if anybody's mentioned this already, but you should watch Uwe Boll's "Rampage." It's actually really good. Very dark and violent!
I live in Australia and they don't have security stickers. And most dvd players can play english dvds. It must suck having to collect this stuff in the states.

Not to sound like a douche, but why bother buying movies you don't really like only to have them on your wall? I get that you love collecting movies, but getting movies you simply wont watch doesnt make a ton of sense.

That doesn't make any sense, spending money on a movie you will not watch or do not like for what to impress someone once in awhile when they come to your house? Its just being frivolous, just wasting money. Eventually blu rays will be obsolete and then it will be all that money down the drain because no one will want them.
