The number one tip for traveling with your projects - bring something to work that you know how to do so well without instructions. And/or you can write down the instructions in a notebook, always good to have that around just in case you kind of forgot how to do your project 🤣. Anywats, your fun to watch as always!
Toaster looks like he travels really well. Our dog, a Miniature Pinscher, was terrible in the car when we got him at 2.5 yrs old. So bad that after a few months I thought we might have to give him back to the rescue place. Loose in the car, he'd bounce around like a yo-yo. In a travel box he'd bark hysterically. A behaviourist suggested putting a blanket over his box & after a couple of more months he was fine. Longest trip so far was about 3.5 hrs with a stop.
Enjoyed the video. It is nice not to add extra pressure on ourselves. I visited my son in Wisconsin for 2 weeks last October. I couldn't take an lot of extra knitting on the airplane, so I just packed my WIP socks and took along some crochet needles. I never worked on the socks. I looked up loads of dish cloth patterns on my phone. It was really fun to make a new one every day.....and I left a pile of them for him to use LOL.
I wish I could knit in the car but I get car-sick so all I can do is look out the window or sleep! That was heck of a long trip, but I love Disney so I'm sure it was worth it!! We have to fly to Florida as we live in the UK 😃 Loved the travel vlog and your Toaster travels so well
I love a good road trip. Looks like you had fun along the way. Let me know when you visit Nashville next, so we can meet up at the Whataburger that opened in Hermitage!
So fun. I love car knitting… as soon as the ice on the lake melts we are on the road to camp every weekend which gives me 4 to 5 hours one way for knitting. Some weekends I bring many projects, others I make myself bring one to concentrate on. Thanks for sharing!
I was born and raised in Orange County. CA so we always went to Disneyland. But we live in East TN now and want to go to Disneyworld soon. My son was too young to remember Dland, my daughter was pretty young too. I’ve always wanted to go to Disneyworld though. I believe it’s 6hrs from where we live in TN, so not as close as we were to Dland in CA but definitely doable!
Loved your vlog… that is reality. You make plans and things change. 😉 You just have to go with the flow! I always catch some zzz’s on long road trips!! Loved the sights along the way too! Have a great vacation!
I love this! I was just telling my husband that you're just like me. I get all excited about all the knitting I'll be able to do on a long road trip, and then I end up sleeping much more than I thought. :) We recently did this drive but from Orlando to NYC. Hope you have (or had) an amazing trip!
I love road trips! However I can get car sick easily. I can knit or crochet as long as it’s vanilla and I’m not having to read any patterns or look at my work much. Reading and any sort of screens tend to make me nauseous.
What a long day! I always think I’m going to knit or crochet more than I actually do on road trips. My little guy Chuck-who is three today-is no where near as well behaved in the car as Toaster! Made the mistake of letting him ride on our shoulder as a tiny little boy so he still thinks he should be held. He’s also not a big fan of the car and bounces back and forth between me and my daughter because he’s nervous. I’ve been meaning to ask-is there a story behind Toaster’s name? He’s so cute! 💕💕
@@KnittyNatty Oh that’s a sweet book. Yes, my little guy is sweet. He sure got me through the pandemic. We got him balloons and a chew toy for his birthday and he was in heaven.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hanging out with me for lunch!
Your pit stop to see your friend Bethany had NC energy, then I saw the Selma exit sign in the back! My grandparents lived in Selma NC. 💚

Oh wow! We are lucky that Toaster just lays down!

I'm in Central Texas. When my sons come to visit, Whataburger is the first place they go....even before I see them LOL.
Did a lot of those long road trips when I was young. But now even going to Reinbeck, a 6 hour drive alone, was really rough.
I love a good road trip. Looks like you had fun along the way. Let me know when you visit Nashville next, so we can meet up at the Whataburger that opened in Hermitage!
Thank you for keeping it real and knitting at your own pace. Love the road trip. Makes me want to get back on the road again.
There is a very nice lys in winter heaven called “ four purls”. Just in case you run out of yarn.

So much fun to see! Loved it❤️
Toaster is such a sweet boy!

Hi Natalie I really enjoyed watching your road trip video and how organised you are with your knitting Kaye x

Every time you talk about Whataburger I am so jealous. We used to live in Corpus Christi and loved it. Enjoy
Ohhh it was so good! We have to get, even if it’s out of the way! Haha
Curious about your project bags. 🤔
Natalie, that was so much fun to watch! I look forward to more. Have a super enjoyable time! And, your Toaster is so adorable!
Always love your vlog. You are super adorable! Toaster is such a sweetheart 💕
Love your travel vlog! Toaster is such a great passenger! Have a great time and safe travel!😍
Thank you! He is such a good boy!
I also had a hard time figuring out how to start the Prismatic chart when I first made it! Glad I’m not the only one.
Nope! Next up I need to figure out how to increase with colorwork 🤪
I love knitting and crocheting on road trips. We use to bring sour gummy worms on trips too! Enjoy your vacation!😀
Sour worms are the best! Thank you!
Safe trip guys - Toaster is such a good traveler! Have a great holiday
Thank you! He is a good boy!
We are driving to Disney from Ottawa in October!! I am already thinking about projects to bring! Glad you made it safe and sound.
Oh boy! Now I can’t complain! Haha
This was such a fun video Natalie 🤩🥰🥳!! Disney is amazing ! I loved seeing the wips you took for your road trip! ❤ Thanks ! Xx
Thanks, Zara! I’m glad you enjoyed it. ☺️
Where did you get those cute vinyl bags with the stars?? Have a wonderful trip!!
I watched all your Vlogmas videos in December. Don't mind watching this video again as it is full of good tips. Are you on another trip now?
Hello from Mounds Illinois.
I enjoyed this video. I love road trips!!
Thanks! We do too!

So long! Haha awww he sounds so cute! Toaster is named after a children’s movie called “The Brave Little Toaster”

I wish I could knit/crochet in the car but I get motion sickness so I’d be so very ill if I tried 😂
Aww I’m sorry! I find I do better with a project that I don’t need to look down at. That plus Dramamine!
Me too....and reading is definitely out.
Have a fantastic holiday
Thank you!
I can never knit beyond a few rows on a road trip. Something about sitting in a car makes me drowsy on long trips even when I am driving 😅😅
Lol!!
