Same!!! I can pack my clothes in 15 minutes, but my projects take me a solid 30 to make sure I have all situations covered. 😂

The sweet bread on your stitch marker is called a “concha”, meaning shell . A Mexican staple. 😊

I am looking at your yarn swift. I see a stopper for the end of the yarn. Ingenious. What is it called? I need one.

Had to smile about your Texas food stops. Live in AZ, grew up in TX. When we visit family in TX also have a list of must food to eat while there. Have Whataburger in AZ. But for some reason Whataburger in TX always seems to taste better. Also a must have when in TX is barbecue and catfish

How fun to watch your trip to Texas! I live in Amarillo, Tx and loved seeing your first stop

Great work, thank you! One little tip: Don't hang the maker at one single stitch, take two to three, dnder and over means the stitch and 1 to 2 stitches under it so it woun't make the stich log and longer. The heavier the maker is the faster it hangs out the stitch.

Super cute the pizza and your other stitch marker is a Hispanic pastry called “a cónchá” sweet and soft when fresh.

I just got back from Texas on Saturday. I didn’t get to visit my favorite yarn shop. I took a lot of knitting with me since we drove.

New subscriber here! I lived in Ft Worth for 3 years and I still miss the food. I have my usual stops, too. I also always try to visit West 7th Wool in Ft Worth when I'm there. :) They're my favorite.

Thanks Natalie for this great vlog. I always struggle with how much knitting to bring. I usually have too much . I’ve only done one trip this year to London and I got that about right with one sock project , one baby project and a hat . Funny enough my daughter and I spent most of our time eating at places that are usually super hard to get a booking at but London was much quieter this year

I get the food thing. I've been plant based for over 2 years, but when I go back to Mississippi twice a year, I intentionally plan to eat fried catfish and BBQ a couple of times from my favorite places.

I am currently knitting a 2x2 ribbed hat in Felici self striping. I am happy with the results, and I am not knitting a round, because each stripe is only 3 or 4 rounds. It looks fine.

Hi Natalie, quick question: when you began the yarn winding, you attached something to top of your swift to hold the end of the yarn. What is that called and where did you get it from? It looks immensely useful.

Ramona, just watching your blog in Texas really made me homesick. I was born in Sherman but grew up in Amarillo many, many years ago. I am now living in Maryland.

Ramona, If it is what I think you are talking about, I made that for Natalie using a piece of packing foam. It cuts easily. Once you have the shape you want, just create a hole in the bottom and notch in the top. Office scissors work great for this. Beauty of it is, it doesn't cost anything.
