You missed the most magical place in Scotland, The Isle of Arran, aka ''Scotland in miniature''. Where the north has multiple like Munro Mountains, and the south has beautiful white sand beaches. Anyone visiting the island will not be disappointed.
I love Scotland. Went there twice. Stayed at a Scottish friend's apartment- near Waverly Station. Watched the Military Tattoo. Was very good... My husband did his Civil Engineering at St Andrews University. Avid Golfer. I studied at Sussex-- Plastic Surgery/ Burns courses. Queen Victoria Hospital. Had great time in UK. Mrs Rosy Tay- from Singapore. 🎉🎉🎉 Mrs Rosy Tay
Thank you for showing off my country. I live up in Inverness (used to live in Fort William). I'm impressed you managed to pronounce the places right, but you still have trouble with "loch" lol (don't worry, even Scots have trouble with it sometimes). May I recommend going in April-June if you want the best months for festivals, weather and springtime? I'd also like to recommend some places I quite like that are smaller in scale but still lovely: Nairn (especially the beach), Glen Affric (one of the filming locations of Detective Pikachu), Route 500 (please keep it clean, lots of tourists litter), John o' Groats (puffins!), Glasgow (for the culture hotpot that it is), the general Gairloch area (Ullapool and Poolewe included). I'd like to give a soft mention to "The Whisky Trail" which is along the east in Moray towards Aberdeen (since you mentioned Harry Potter a lot in this video, Dufftown was also mentioned in Harry Potter which is also worth a sneaky visit for whisky) and a quick mention to House of Bruar along the A9 if you want to buy touristy stuff (care on the price, but it's top quality...also the small chip shop there sells lobster), it's also in an area that has lovely scenery and hiking spots. One last mention to the gorgeousness that is the Cairngorms which features skiing, Aviemore, Loch Morlich, the Highland Wildlife Park (they take good care of their animals) plenty nature trails and Rothiemurchus: a protected forest that is part of the last 1% of original ancient woodland.
@@AHylianWarrior We were just there in April and May, and there are few, if any festivals. If people want festivals, then the summer months of June, July and August are festival time. The Highland Games in different areas are only scheduled in June and July, when they get most of the visitors.
God bless you, my brother/sister in Christ ❤️🔥 so excited to see this wonderful country and visit the Traditional Catholic Church in Stronsay where they’re keeping the Latin Mass alive and well 🙏🏼
As a Lanarkshire lad and sometime Glaswegian, I hope you make it back one day to explore the west and south west as well as our islands. The Ayrshire coast is stunning and with its history of Rabbie Burns is well worth a visit. Glasgow is perhaps not as pretty as Edinburgh but if you dig deeper, it has a wee bit more soul with vibrant communities in the south side and west end.
Yes we hope to make it back someday! Ine has been to Glasgow before, but this time we wanted to focus more on nature as that's what makes Scotland special! ;)
@@worldwildhearts Awesome 🙂 Would recommend Galloway Forest Park as it is one of the world’s few ‘dark sky parks’ where you can get magnificent views of the stars. All the best 👍
Really stunning and thank you so much for sharing this video... I am going to Scotland in 10 days and it is really helpful to see which places to visit...❤
Hello you two, we recently traveled to Scotland and your video was a very good guide for us. Thank you for the great tips and advice! Keep up the good work, you make great videos and by the way, you are a really nice couple! Best wishes from Germany
Scotland's diverse landscapes, rich history, and vibrant culture make it a truly captivating destination for travelers. Whether you're exploring historic cities, hiking through stunning scenery, or discovering hidden gems off the beaten path, Scotland offers endless opportunities for adventure and discovery.
Thanks a ton. Your ternary map saved me few days searching. I will be doing the same this August. It will be like 4days as we are not planning to stay long in Edinburg. Nicely prepared.
Great video and info. I’m planning a big trip for me and my wife for 2027 our 25 yr anniversary and this helps me decide on a road trip there or a cruise. Ty.
First of all Well done! The video content is super professional and helpful The transition on each scene + storytelling approach is perfect As a few people pointed out the Map is amazing, give us a perfect notion where each spot is located (keeping with this approach) I gonna to visit Scotland in Octuber and your video help me a lot! A big thank you.
I don't want to be too much of a noodge, but a couple of small points: One would not ever say "Glencoe Valley" since Glen means Valley. So it is simply Glencoe or Glen Coe. One would not refer to Loch Ness or any other lochs as being Lakes. They are lochs.
This is the most helpful video I found so far! Excellent job, very informative, realistic and practical. Some video makers like to use drone, I found it unrealistic since I won't be travelling by an helicopter. Thanks for providing all the great information too!
I think your video is brilliant. Your pronunciation of places here was impeccable. We Scots get very annoyed with visitors mispronouncing words like Edinburgh. I hope you had a brilliant time here. I live on the Isle of Mull. You need to come here. Haste ye back! Moran Taing.
Next time you go, don’t forget that Scotland does have a south! Both the southeast (The Borders) and the southwest (Ayrshire, Galloway and the Isle of Arran) have wonderful country, coasts and history (even if no Harry Potter) - and you won’t be falling over many other tourists.
Eilean Donan Castle was where they filmed the movie Highlander with Sean Connery. So happy to see you both having a great time in my country, come over in the summer, when everything is green.
Great video, thanks a lot for all the recommendations ! During which month of the year was your trip? what period would you recommend for a trip to Scotland?
We were there during November. Wouldn't really recommend that time of the year as the weather is super variable and unpredictable. Better timing would be somewhere between May - October.
Beautiful, do you have please more details regarding the road up to Eilean Donan Castle , the view from above was better than we see in general. thanks for sharing

Hi guys, loved the video! Will visit in May but have only 5 days available so will probably limit to Edi, Inverness, Skye and Glencoe and even that seems too ambitious. I couldn't find "the links on the description" that you cited a couple of times🤔! Thanks!
If I only had 5 days I’d limit it to Edinburgh, Glencoe and Skye. Inverness is quite out of the direction. Spend a day or 2 in Edinburgh and then drive to Skye with a quick stop in Glencoe and at Eilean Donan. Spend then a day or 2 in Skye before probably heading back to Edinburgh to fly out? The links can be found in the description of the video. When you scroll under the video you’ll see the video title. And under that it will have the viewer count, and you can click “more”. This opens up the description and we added the info there!
Nice travel video. Trying to plan a trip here as well. I see a lot of drone shots on n your video. Did you run into any issues flying at any of these locations? Thanks for the video…helpful! 👍👍👍
This is a great video! I was wondering how you get to the other side of the Glenfinnan Viaduct? When I visited, the path only seemed to lead to the left (when approaching the viaduct from the parking lot). Your shot from the right side of the viaduct is so beautiful!
Thanks! Well there is actually a path to the right as well. It also starts from the parking lot, then goes over the little bridge on the bottom and over to the other side! We saw it on Maps.me so decided to follow it. But it’s not that obvious when you don’t know the trail exists!
We spent a total of 14 days in Scotland. Probably between 2,500-3,000USD total for the both of us. Especially the car was expensive + gas. Also food and drinks, but we often just bought some ready-to-go meals in the supermarket. Accommodations we booked were around 60$ per night which is actually on the low end for Scotland!
You can probably get there by public transportation but it's going to take some time. There's a bus to Glencoe from Glasgow. So you need to first get to Glasgow by bus / train
What I really LOVE about your video is that you show destinations on the map ❤ really helpful to see it right away 😊
Thanks! ☺️
Beautiful locations. I didn't get to see all of them, but was amazed at how diverse Scotland was.

The beginning of Novemeber… not the best time really 😅
nice video! could you please share which month did you visit? thanks!
Thanks! We were there in November. It was very rainy so I wouldn't necessarily recommend that time of the year!
Would you recommend public transportation or diving while there? To take in as much as you can?
Driving if you want to see the nature. The hiking trails and some of the valleys will be impossible to reach without a rental!
How long was your trip? How many days would you recommend as a minimum for covering most of these areas? Thanks in advance
We were there for 2 weeks! I’d say at least 10 days to cover these places 😊
What a beautiful video!
I was wondering how long did was the trip and how much did it cost you including the car rental and the accommodation?
We spent a total of 14 days in Scotland. Probably between 2,500-3,000USD total for the both of us. Especially the car was expensive + gas. Also food and drinks, but we often just bought some ready-to-go meals in the supermarket. Accommodations we booked were around 60$ per night which is actually on the low end for Scotland!

Lovely video and commentary but as most Scots will say Not lakes but Lochs; only one lake In Scotland.
What’s your suggestion for traveling from Edinburgh to Glencoe? Is there a train that takes from point a to point b?
You can probably get there by public transportation but it's going to take some time. There's a bus to Glencoe from Glasgow. So you need to first get to Glasgow by bus / train
Great video :) Can I ask you what type of jacket would you recommend for hiking in Scotland (beginning of April)?
Definitely a good wind + rain jacket! But we’d also recommend a winter coat.
