I like to leave them bc the flowers attract lots of hummingbirds. But now that I know they propagate well, I might need to expand my collection.

The birds that come in the nursery to feed on the flowers are nice too 🙂

The flower spike on the E. Pinky trumpet is impressive. All your plants are so beautiful and healthy looking.
Do you make your own soil mix or do you purchase a ready made one??
    Happy gardening

Hi Evelyn, thanks so much for your kind words :) We buy our mix in. I used to mix my own, but it is quite time consuming and now that we have expanded with another 2 greenhouses over the last year, it was easier for me to buy it ready to go :)

Can you tell me what to do if it looks like a whole plant has grown off a flower spike. Can I plant that?
I have multiple that have grown off a flower spike. On the Echeveria Shaviana

I have heard of people striking plants on their flowers spikes. I don't try, as I've been told it takes awhile.

So if I wanted to get seeds/pollinate, would I do that first and then propagate the leaves after?

You can do either. Just be careful if you take the leaves off first, that you damage the flower stalk 🙂👍

Probably a stupid question, but which end do you put on the cells.

Hi Nola, you place the end that snapped off from the stem of the flower spike into the potting mix :)
