John Lennon said this was his favorite Paul McCartney vocals ever.
Paul.......The Man Of A Thousand Voices Singing Perfectly Loud !
Not heard this for 50 years i'd gorgotten just how good it is !
I love Paul’s ripping vocals on this song. He’s such a versatile vocalist. The entire Abbey Road album is just amazing. IMO it’s the best album from the best band on the planet. Great reaction. 🌺✌️
Thank you! Vocals definitely stand out amongst everything else
Try listening to their entire catalog, beginning with their first LP.
@@jnagarya519 I think Rubber Soul was the album they 'turned the corner' Their lyrics started getting more meaningful & deep. Each song was different than the next. Each album was different than the previous.
I love how he was about to say something and Paul's vocals literally interrupted his thought and said "listen to me" Paul McCartney is a legend
@@stevenschmidt3464 So when Paul interrupts, it isn't rude. Because he's a "legend".
It isn't like the other three are "legends," of course, when one has the exaggerated hots for Paul.
You're right, Paul McCartney sung that with so much soul. His voice so versatile and he, with John Lennon, were among the most prolific song writers in history. George Harrison wrote and was lead singer of some of their best later songs. And their drummer Ringo could adapt to absolutely everything.
I’m glad god made this possible
McCartney's vocals are second to none. But his bass playing on this song was unbelieveable!!!
According to the book that accompanied the Abbey Road anniversary deluxe edition Harrison played bass on this.
Bass definitely stood out to me during listen.
@@Archipelington what? wow didn't know that
@@hughg.rection9161 apparently Harrison played bass on this, Maxwell’s Silver Hammer and Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight on Abbey Road
Yeah it's Harrison on the 6 string fender bass which explains the high harmonic E note on the E augmented chord. Although it's technically achieveable on a 4 string, it's easier on a 6 string which would indicate it was indeed George on the fender despite many assuming it was McCartney. McCartney was on Piano and John on guitar.
I can remember when I bought Abbey Road in 1969. I locked myself in my room for about two weeks listening to it over and over again.
Beautiful
I did that with every Beatles album staring with Sgt. Pepper … when I was 13! 😆
But especially, especially, with the White Album.
I’m not sure I ever got 100% over that I was only 16 when they split 😫
Hey you’ve got some of the best most thoughtful musicianship comments of all reaction videos.
Many are fun, many are terrible, some are thoughtful and descriptive.
Thanks man.
It was 1975 for me- a little late to the party, but I was 12 (give me a break)!
That is one of the first things impressed that impressed John Lennon about Paul McCartney . Paul’s vocal ability to soar like Little Richard .
This is one of my favourite songs of all time. Paul’s vocals are incredible (possibly his greatest ever). Abbey Road is a masterpiece and this is just one of the songs that make up the masterpiece 😊
100%
The raw vocal, the Motowny bass and the Ringo fills create a powerful song. Epic track on an incredible album. Imitations try hard but there was only one Beatles!
Never be another group like The Beatles. 👍👍
You would love "Come Together" -- another Beatles classic.
Paul's best singing ever.
Shredding his voice!
GREAT Reaction Young Lion!! You Took the time to Actually LISTEN 👂 to the Song, and Not Pause it To DEATH ☠️! GREAT Music Too!! 🎶
Bad ass McCartney vocal...he has plenty with and without Beatles...Most versatile vocalist in Rock History...keep listening...you will have new favorites daily
I loved reading all these comments. There is one thing for sure. The Beatles had a lot of good songs. No one person says that this is their best song and the other agrees. Lennon/McCartney recorded some 200 songs together. At least 50 of them are consider modern rock masterpieces. Their music is fluid with your own life experiences. The fact that they are still relevant is amazing. My favorite Beatles tune has changed a hundred times since I first heard them in 1968. Currently Oh! Darling is my fav and Abby Road album is on top. It might have something to do with that documentary that just came out on Disney lol
You can really hear Paul's influence from Little Richard and Fats Domino in this song, indeed soulful.
and ELVIS. Yeah.
I was a kid when this came out and was on the radio. it's nice to see a young person getting the joy of it. it's a very pristine recording to a wild song.
Must have been crazy hearing this come on the radio.
This song is a little riff on the album. Paul wrote others like it to break up the vibe. When an album of theirs came out, you were glued to it, listening nonstop. Such amazing talent.
I can definitely see why. Sheesh
One of the best Beatles songs ever. Amazing !!!!!!
"I've never heard a beatles song like this." You could probably say that after every beatles song listened to
I was 13 when the Beatles hit our shores! Beatles forever 💙✌🏼👵🏼
Paul singing I Got a Feeling.. really raw & live on the rooftop
Imma check it out!
I love Paul’s voice 💜 love The Beatles 💕
The Beatles were a gift from the gods to humanity.
I am LOVING that YOU LOVE Paul McCartney's vocals and this song that he wrote. It is my FAVORITE OF PAUL's vocals with the Beatles, it is just FANTASTIC!! I would have given ANYTHING to WATCH PAUL as he was RECODING this! I have ALWAYS felt that way. OR at LEAST seen him PERFORM IT LIVE, especially during his '90 tour. SO many people think that Paul just sang in a high, sweet voice. Yes he can, but he also has the ability to sing like THIS. He has great "vocal gymnastics. " LOVED your reaction!!
What a voice!!!! Sensational!!! Good job
The Beatles are truly timeless.
The Beatles loved the Blues, Jazz and all music made famous by the older black performers.
Paul McCartney was such an amazing singer. Listen to “Let Me Roll It” live in 1976 by Paul McCartney and Wings.
Gotcha!
I’m seeing this for a second Time. Imma definitely make a note to check out.
And note Ringo on drums rocked his a-- off.
IMO, possibly Paul’s best vocals 🔥
everyone is giving their recs for mccartney lead vocals to listen to. and here's one more! :) the Beatles version of long tall sally in the hamburg star club recording. it's one of his best live performances.
You know John's Sliding note backups were a revelation in the music industry..
Nice job, great reaction! For some more soulful singing from Paul McCartney, this time solo, try "Maybe I'm Amazed".
Thank yu my man!
I second Maybe I'm Amazed
I really enjoy your Beatles reactions. Ty
Of course. Thank yu for watching
The greatest band of all time
That is so astute of you and obvious you you like Paul McCartney's voice. There is a much earlier Beatles song that is a cover but he just tears it up and it's called Long Tall Sally. He idolized Little Richard and you can hear it in his voice. But I would also say check out Maybe I'm Amazed which was one of his first solo songs once the Beatles broke up and I mean you got to consider I mean the guy's only like 30 years old at this point. Maybe I'm Amazed also has so much soul in it it's just incredible. But I do love the early stuff as well maybe listen to both.
The natural, organic McCartney voice. Sublime
This is one of the greatest rock songs ever.
Paul is all soul 💙
Bruce Hornsby and The Range-The Way It is. You gotta hear it brother man. It will blow your mind
If you haven’t yet, you should check out the live rooftop version of “Don’t Let Me Down”.
This is an amazing song. He sang it everyday till he achieved the vocals he wanted. Love his voice. He also did outstanding songs with Wings and solo. Try Wings song Call Me.
Man of a 1000 thousand voices.
That was one of my favorite Beatles reactions, ever. And I'm a picky Beatles fanatic lol You definitely got a new fan here.
Tysm 🖤
His vocals on “Call Me Back Again” on Venus & Mars is really good, too
How does one come up with a song like this? Imagine this coming to your brain and you actually work and work on it to arrive at that result. Just brilliant.
Excellent song, excellent reaction...try Maybe Im Amazed by Paul McCartney when he was with Wings...another great soulful song
Freakin fantastic!!!!
You should try their song "Norwegian wood", since I was a little girl the story of this song really captured me for some reason
I subbed. I freaking loved your reaction to this amazing song. I sang it at a Beatles festival in 2003. It was fun. I'm going to look at your other videos lol
Great reaction video. Yes, The Beatles have no-one else in their league. Try listening to the studio version of 'Maybe I'm Amazed' from Paul's first solo album 'McCartney'. GAZ (Melbourne/Australia)
When you get a few mins...Check out the 'Beatles - Abby Road' album. It'll rock your world....best they put out. You'll understand why the hyp.
Check out the live performance when they did their Rooftop final live show.
Greatest Band Ever, Period.
KeShawn, do a review of The Beatles "I Dig A Pony" (Rooftop), their most underrated song. Please check it out, friend!
Check out Lennon singing: "Twist and Shout" and "Rock and Roll."
The vocals shred...
Peace on earth.
Unique to "The Beatles" is their spirit: a joyful celebration of life.
Paul's mother died when he was 15. John's mother was killed by an off-duty drunk-driving cop when he was 16. So that was part of the bond between them.
FYI, Paul was 14 and John was 17.
Paul McCartney was at his peak in oh darling
Like you, this is in my top 5, maybe top 3, Beatles songs.
Great singing on this one by Paul - BTW anyone who loves these vocals probably should hear a song I just heard recently that blew me away - old school and I'm 56. Carl Hall - You don't know nothing about love.... why isn't this a bigger hit? Who's with me??? #jamesbrown
Paul putting on his best Little Richard.
fantastic reaction! thank you.
There are good bands, then there are great bands, and then there are The Beatles!
McCartney did most of this himself…… he sang the song over and over again to get his voice raw enough to sing this
That’s inspiring right there.
G'day folks. Your man from Down Under. Very cool. This cat is so unpretentious he leaves his backpack there in the background and in another the toilet door wide open. Respect. AND he knows his music. Credentials!
Paul on vocals. Please next do "Because." From Abbey Road album. It's beautiful.
On the list!
Makes me Think of when I was young and love/life meant so much. Now I’m old I think a more appropriate song is Dylan’s “Things Have Changed”. Funny how life changes us
Boy are you good with your analysis! I can really tell you're a musician the way you break down the song. So again, Paul McCartney grabs the lead vocals on this one, with John Lennon and George Harrison doing the backing vocals on the song. Got to have a scorecard if you want to know the players!!!!
My favorite , one of many!!
Cool video, this is one of my favorites from The Beatles and it's really cool seeing someone listening to it for the first time.
Another song by them which has a similar vibe is Don't let me down, it also has those screams and that passion that you can hear in the voice.
Loved this, I haven’t heard this is so long. Thank you
Escute apenas uma vez e se apaixone, esses são os beatles
Just found your channel. I really enjoyed your reaction and analysis. I was 11 the first time I heard The Beatles…been listening ever since❤️
Another soulful Beatles tune: Got to Get You into My Life
Check out 'Monkberry Moon Delight" off Paul's Ram album.
Inspirational hearing the hip hop break down of this tune. I guess the guitar really was on top of the beat!
Try Within You Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows from the Love album if you want to hear the first loop ever recorded in music history.
Didn’t even think of it like that wow I gave a hiphop break down. Haha
The guitar really was on top man! Caught my attention quick!
much love and respect!
Hard to believe these are the same vocal chords that sing, "Yesterday " and " Here, there & Everywhere. "
Another great one by Paul is “Monkberry Moon Delight”! Enjoy!
i love the beatles forever
They were fire!
THAT"S A RIDE !
If you like soulful music, check out perhaps the most gorgeous love ballad ever written. "Something" by the Beatles. Written and sung by George Harrison. No less of an authority than Frank Sinatra called it one of the most beautiful love songs he'd ever heard. And Frank didn't really care for rock and roll artists. But he loved "Something" so much that he actually recorded it.
Here is a song that you will either love or hate!
From the 1979 self titled debut album by the B-52's, the opening track called Planet Claire.
Featured in the CG animated film called Monsters vs Aliens.
Be prepared for a long intro.
PLAY LOUD!
imma check this out as soon as I wake up man.
KeShawn Sensei when will you be waking from your sleepwalk?
@@johnandrews3151 lmao tomorrow!
Beatles/Don't Pass Me By written and sung by Ringo from The White Album
will do.
Paul wrote this song after his muse, girlfriend of 5 years (& recent fiancée), Jane Asher dumped Paul. They were living together. She was away for an acting job & got home earlier than expected. Jane found Paul in their bed with another woman. She left, her Mom came to pack up her stuff & she never looked back. Paul has been writing love songs to her even to this day!
My favorite Beatle's songs are- 1A If I Fell,- 1B this one. lol. just great stuff;
Really enjoying your videos mate. Much love from Sheffield UK.
Freakin Beautiful ✌
If you want to hear more of Paul’s soul. Listen to Maybe I’m amazed Paul McCarthey/Wings
I’ve heard a lot About Paul McCartney and his vocals. I definitely need to pay attention thanks for the recommendations.
Beatles are wavy... every CD and like 97% of the songs lol
If you wanna hear the other side of Pauls voice listen to I Will
Let it Be... Hey Jude... The Best... (The Beatles) very very very good!!!!
BEST SONG EVER!
Few years ago started singin on some karaoke tracks (previously I would not even think about the idea, but quite some shit happened and I just wanted my voice to stay a bit in shape) and I sang this over and over again cause I found my soul in it... I didn't get into the "screaming", just improvised a bit. But great to put my feelings in it and sing it from my Heart and Soul. Similar with Don't let me down, allthough Oh Darling has Paul McCartney as lead vocalist, and Don't let me down is John Lennon.
Great to see you love this. Btw. ✌️
Bro that’s dope reading that. You were unlocking something.
@@keshawnsensei Guess I was but circumstances and some people in particular locked me back up or locked me down (lockdown)
Great reaction. Now, blow you mind with Tomorrow Never Knows….
He gets it.
Yup
Next, you might want to listen to the extended medley on side 2 of Abbey Road, starting with "You Never Give Me Your Money", and right through to the end of the album
If you like this sound, which to is reminiscent of (& from what I understand, the Beatles were influenced by/appreciated) old New Orleans rhythm & blues (particularly Fats Domino). It also as well has some South Louisiana Swamp Pop sound to it… Since you asked for more of this sound, not necessarily by the Beatles but in this vein, also check out other songs by other artists such as “Pledging My Love” (aka “Forever My Darling,”) & “Wasted Days & Wasted Nights,” & “Sea of Love,” & “I Can’t Stop Loving You” (Elvis’ live concert version) & of course, the ultimate Swamp Pop/Blues anthem of “Mathilda” (“Mathilda I’ve Cried & Cried for You) 🎶🐊
