Yup, it’s sad that the CW has all but given up. I can’t blame them with the rise of streaming and social media, not many people are still watching broadcast television much less the CW. I still will miss the heydays of the CW and when it was the UPN and the WB.
I was just about to say that like I feel like even though the vampire diaries had more seasons the originals said there and was more compelling, especially like they even said the shell dive deeper into the law of vampires werewolves, which is everything and I will only agree with supernatural being at the top spot, but I feel like gossip girl and other shows that they had in the top. Couple spots should not have been there I don’t care if they got a bunch of awards. I feel like when you look at other dynamics besides awards like the flash, the only thing they did right about the flash is having the flash above Supergirl and arrow in DC of legends of tomorrow, but I feel like the fact that it has ran for nine seasons it should have been at the least top three then one tree Hill they have one tree Hill at like number six and I’m like one tree Hill should have been at least at number four because it ran for nine seasons, and it got better as the seasons went on like they said as the characters grew up, they dealt with more complex stories and where the hell is charmed because charm did start on the WB but I could’ve sworn it ended on the CW
Supernatural & The Flash were both equally my favorite CW shows also Shout out to shows like Smallville, Arrow, Stargirl, Legends of tomorrow, Black lightning, Superman & Lois, The 100, Gossip girl & One tree hill
There was no surprise that Supernatural took the top spot... I've been lucky enough to meet the cast a couple of times, and they are all genuinely the kindest (the same goes for the TVD cast, who I've met several times) Not only is the writing and acting top notch, but I've met my best friends through our mutual love of the show, therefore it holds a special place in my heart)
Smallville should be number 2 it was the beginning of 23 years of superhero tv for the network culminating in the birth DC TV. The only reason it's not number 1 is because supernatural was supernatural, but both shows carried the network's early days and made everything else possible. The top 5 should be OTH, Flash, Arrow, SmallVille, SPN, these shows are still talked about by even the most casual tv watcher. Anything else was successful but didn't have nearly the cultural impact.
A lot of these started great and had a great seasons but lost steam in the last few. Arrow and The Flash come to mind. Though Arrows last season was actually great.
@@markwebb1040 The CW was created in 2006, after both shows ended. I had to look it up too, because I was confused as well. I think the WB morphed into the CW at some point, but that was after Angel and Buffy both ended.
@JeremyGlenesk Not just The WB Television Network, but also the United Paramount Network, or UPN for short. Both of these defunct television networks were merge into The CW when it first launch back in September of 2006. Time Warner (now Warner Bros. Discovery) and CBS Corporation (now Paramount Global used to own a 50% stake of the network. They since now reduce to a 12% stake after Nexstar Media Group acquired a 75% stake of The CW back in 2023. Too bad the network ain't what it used to be since its heyday.
One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars are the two best CW shows I've seen, but I feel like I'd also really love Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I need to get around to watching it.
No bro, then you haven't seen supernatural and that's the facts not this, I watched the entire 15 season there isn't a single episode that makes you skip
1. One tree hill 2. Smallville 3. TVD 4. Veronica Mars 5. Gilmore Girls Now this list might be different if we also counted OG WB shows like Dawson creek and Buffy, but it seems like only shows that merged with CW are included.
Smallville and Veronica Mars deserved higher places but ultimately agree with #1 and #2. Would have put Smallville at #3 simply because of its impact in the superhero landscape and at the time, it was CW's flagship show.
Long May She REIGN 😍 1. Reign - Dynasty - The 100 - Jane The Virgin - Roswell New Mexico - The Outpost - In the Dark - Walker Independence - Frequency - Katy Keene
My sister loved the DC shows in her teenage years, while I watched it during the middle school years, and I agree! It’s such amazing stuff (favorites are The Flash and Supergirl)!
I loved everything about Reign, The 100, Smallville, VDverse, Arrowverse, iZombie and Supernatural. Including two not mentioned of Roswell: New Mexico and Nancy Drew. A number of shows were cancelled after 1 season, but really did have potential to b great if continued. I still watch them. The Massagers, The Tomorrow People, The Secret Circle, and Star-Crossed. I heard the new owners who bought CW r gonna rename the channel and have only drama shows. No more supernatural or -heroes theme series. That sucks.
10. P.E.T. Squad Files 9. Very Mallory 8. Warigami 7. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight 6. Vixen 5. Riverdale 4. Roswell New Mexico 3. The Batman (2004-2008) 2. Arrow Honorable Mention Legends Of Tomorrow Black Lightning Freedom Fighters The Ray Supergirl Constantine City Of Demons Kung Fu (2021) Stargirl Swamp Thing IZombie Bolts and Blip 1. The Flash (2014)
I would have put Smallville higher. If anyone is interested Michael (Lex) and Tom (Clark) have a podcast talking about the show. It's called "Talkville". Also I zombie and Jane the virgin were really great shows! I feel like they didn't get the hype that they deserve....
I actually did not start watching Supernatural until three years after it ended. That's eighteen years after it's pilot episode aired and the main reason why I started watching it was because it is currently on Netflix. If it wasn't for that I would have not been brave enough to give it a chance. Before my first watch started I wasn't even sure that I would like it. But now I'm in the middle of season ten. I love Supernatural!!!! Thank you for the opportunity Netflix!
My Top 10 10: Nikita 9: The Flash 8: The Originals 7: Supergirl 6: Legends of Tomorrow 5: One Tree Hill 4: Arrow 3: Supernatural 2: Gossip Girl 1: Smallville
I wasn’t a fan of the CW at first and I only watched the shows that were DC based. But then, Crazy Ex Girlfriend came around. Then my teenage cousin kept suggesting me to watch The 100 so I did. I was somewhat interested in All American but my uncle wanted to watch it so I watched it with him. And it feels the least CW-ish even as a teen drama. I've only seen the pilot of the original Roswell and haven't had time or the at-home wifi to watch it but I did get around to watching Roswell New Mexico which I think is decent. As with Legacies without ever watching TVD or The Originals. And I still think Life Sentence was better than people gave it credit for (granted, I hadn’t watched since it aired and Friendly Space Ninja hated it in his Worst Teen Dramas of All Time video). So yeah, I don't think The CW was all bad. I respect them for making great shows against the odds of low to no budget. Edit: after Superman and Lois, I’m done watching. And All American should’ve ended with the wedding in the season finale. It was perfect!
Not counting Buffy's final seasons on the CW, my favorite shows (in order of my fault memory) are: • Arrow • Buffy the Vampire Slayer • Angel • Everwood • Flash • Firefly(?) • Lost Girl(?) • Gilmore Girls • Legends of Tomorrow • Smallville • Veronica Mars • Warehouse 13 • Dollhouse I kind of forget all the other shows that were on the WB/CW because some were cancelled sooo fast.
to this day, I still put on Nikita and Supernatural as either background when I'm doing things around the house or if I'm up late and just want to veg.
I understand that it was over before the CW was a thing but, I would like to give an honorable mention to Dawson's Creek, seemed like it really helped kickstart the WB/CW as a viable channel.
The show isn't over yet... and even though it's only 5 seasons... but for me, I would put *_Superman & Lois_* at #1. Admittedly, I haven't watched most of these shows (yes, that's includes Supernatural).
How Supergirl made it on this list? That show doesn't know how to write for its lead character Kara. Superman and Lois and Stargirl are better quality shows.
Hands down for me it’s between Vampire Diaries and The Originals for me. I keep going back over and over lol but I actually think The Originals is slightly better because of their stories
Not here to watch the video but just to clarify the top 2 are Supernatural and The Flash either are acceptable as your personal #1 as long as the other is your #2.👍

"Supernatural" ranking #1.
As it should be.
Those early days of WB and the CW really did feel like watching the closest thing to HBO shows but without cable
Yup, it’s sad that the CW has all but given up. I can’t blame them with the rise of streaming and social media, not many people are still watching broadcast television much less the CW. I still will miss the heydays of the CW and when it was the UPN and the WB.
The early CW shows doesn’t not come even close to anything made by HBO.
@Harun-u1h of course it's not gonna give the same entertainment as an HBO show but it came close for a channel that wasnt cable back in the day
One Tree Hill should be at least top 5! Also Veronica Mars at 17! That's crazy, I would have had it no lower than 7.
Veronica should be in the top 10 imo
Agreed
The Originals is a significantly better show than The Vampire Diaries, especially when comparing TVDs later seasons, which were a narrative mess.
@Sylviassweetreactions Naw, Charmed ended right before the CW was founded.
When the Originals left The Vampire Diaries the show started to deteriorate
Supernatural & The Flash were both equally my favorite CW shows also Shout out to shows like Smallville, Arrow, Stargirl, Legends of tomorrow, Black lightning, Superman & Lois, The 100, Gossip girl & One tree hill

One Tree Hill is better than Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries.
The shooting episode is a masterpiece.
So much Better
Ah sorry i dissagree
One Tree Hill at 7 is insane to me
Trulyyyyyy

Veronica Mars is a fun blend of mystery, sarcasm and girly sleuth all in one. We need this again!
When I saw TVD was 2nd place, I thought "Only Second place?! What could be better?!". Then I saw SPN as 1rst place, and thought "Fair enough".
Supernatural being #1 is the only choice
Reign was far from perfect but it’s one of my fave CW shows so I’m glad it was on this list ❤
Also Veronica Mars should be way higher on the list!
yes, Smallville and Supernatural!!
A lot of these started great and had a great seasons but lost steam in the last few. Arrow and The Flash come to mind. Though Arrows last season was actually great.
Legends of Tomorrow was batshit insane, but it had heart. I loved it.
The was literally the best thing about it. Once they leaned into it, anyway.
Buffy moved to the CW in its 6th season when she came back from the dead (again)! This should 've had a place on this list!
I was wondering why Buffy/Angel didn't make the list.
Buffy moved to the UPN in 2001. The CW wasn't created until 2006
@@markwebb1040 The CW was created in 2006, after both shows ended. I had to look it up too, because I was confused as well. I think the WB morphed into the CW at some point, but that was after Angel and Buffy both ended.

Are you crazy?! One Tree Hill should've been in the top 5 or 3! And despite the show ending in 2012, the cast and fans still have reunions
For the superhero CW TV shows, I'd order the top 5:
1. Arrow
2. Superman & Lois
3. Legends of tomorrow
4. The flash
5. Smallville
One Tree Hill and Veronica Mars are the two best CW shows I've seen, but I feel like I'd also really love Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I need to get around to watching it.
My favorite CW Show is easily One Tree Hill (2003-2012).
SUPERMAN AND LOIS SHOULD BE #1
Facts
No bro, then you haven't seen supernatural and that's the facts not this,
I watched the entire 15 season there isn't a single episode that makes you skip
@ I’ve seen them all, love it but I would’ve still given it to Superman & Lois, as great as supernatural was there were a few clunkers in that series
@@melvinjack518 I think you forgot about Bugs, because whew, that episode fucking sucks.
Arrow was one of the best shows ❤❤
The first two seasons were so good
One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, The 100, Gossip Girl, The Flash are easily the best CW tv shows!
1. One tree hill
2. Smallville

One Tree Hill ought to be #1
nah
It's crazy that they said there'd be no more CW without Arrow. Then why'd you cancel Legends on a cliffhanger?
you said why
I’ve always loved Supernatural, The Flash and Arrow. Some of the best TV shows ever made.
There’d be no more CW without the Arrowverse. Why did they have to cancel Legends of Tomorrow? Please bring them back!
that why
Supernatural is too good for a CW show, especially the first five seasons. Even some ott series are absolutely trash.
My sister loved the DC shows in her teenage years, while I watched it during the middle school years, and I agree! It’s such amazing stuff (favorites are The Flash and Supergirl)!
Supernatural is the best cw

1. Veronica Mars
2. Supernatural
3. The Vampire Diaries
4. One Tree Hill

Not having Superman & Lois on this list is serious crime.
the fact that Superman and Lois is not on the list is pretty sad especially since the series finale is next week.
Veronica Mars being #17 is criminal. Should be WAY higher

Veronica Mars at 17 is criminal! How many of these other shows have such a strong fan base that they got a movie and a Hulu reboot a decade later?

Supernatural really only had 2 spinoffs and one of them was an anime....
Supernatural no.1 without question!
Arrow not being in the top 3 is blasphemy
I guess there were TWO shows called Nakita, cuz I've never heard of this version, there was another starring Peta Wilson.
