The worst part abt Rachel Berry is that she never faces ANY consequences for her actions. She just gets everything she wants and we're just supposed to be happy for her and accept that the characters she treated the worst are suddenly besties with her without any apologies.
@@rachelmartin5187I meaaaan, Kitty did cause Marley to develop bulimia so I'm not really sure which of the two events was worse considering the development lasted for a while and no one ever really cared about it afterwards and to top it off people blamed Marley for their loss at Sectionals after passing out because she didn't have enough food on her lol
@@guillemmartinez9958 Marley deserved better. She was the kindest character on the show, and especially the least problematic. Yes, she had flaws, but at least they're relatable, and I'm glad Marley was only stubborn when she needed to be.
@@guillemmartinez9958 Dang. You're right. I forgot about that. Man they really did Marley wrong. She treated everyone with respect and wound up getting shamed and had an eating disorder because of it. What's even crazier is that Mr. Shue, the TEACHER saw all that and was one if the main ones shaking her. Smh. 😒
in real life SJP is just a bad, narcissistic, so fueled by fashion and her outer appearances, she must rely on her Husband Matthew to show any kind of depth as a human being
Add to that, she was totally uninteresting and even bad at her supposed job. Was there ever anything that anyone could have considered insightful about those bumpersticker level inanities that constituted her sex columns?
There are many, MANY things wrong with _Emily in Paris_ and Emily is definitely one of the biggest. There is no way she would be that conceited and naive, yet so successful at the same time. And after she slept with her Gabriel, I just gave up on her and quit the series.
Glad to see Carrie Bradshaw is on the list. After re-watching SATC I couldn't believe I ever wasted my time... Rachel Berry? That's art imitating life, from what I hear.
I agree, Carrie should be on this list. She is so self centered. She loves her friends but always has to b reminded their needs are some times more important than hers and she always cheats on her men.
Leah Michele was pretty much playing herself on “Glee”. Much like her character, Rachel Berry, she prioritizes her career and fame over her friends and belittles people around her.
I didn't watch Glee. I only know Leah Michelle because another cast mate killed themselves and she went to the beach instead of his funeral and I saw that in the news. Back when "fake news" meant something not newsworthy and not something that inconveniences Donald Trump.
@@your_local_questerianI think schue is far worse than Rachel for plethora of reason 1. He scolded Rachel for treating sunshine with jealousy when only seconds before he bullies beist bc he feels threatened that beist's football fund might cost glees their funds. ( tho that can be partly justified bc it was sues idea first) 2. He twerks and possibly lap-dance his students 3. We understand sue is billed as the mean teacher but even she doesn't deserved to be stood up on their "date" especially when three of her cheerleader girls are part of his glee 4. He puts on a racist Spanish presentation in his Spanish class literally with Santana in it and said the reason he took it bc it's the only spot open. 5. He suspend Marley for not dressing provocatively for lady Gaga (and I seem to be the only one to respect her dress code)
I'm surprised Velma (2023) didn't make this list. Seeing a beloved character reincarnated as an unfunny, delusional, self-absorbed, stupid sociopath makes her completely unwatchable.
You could've given about twenty examples for Carrie Bradshaw. Sleeping with Big in his wife's bed and then going through the wife's fridge and casually walking around the wife's house while wearing her underwear? Carrie, as noted here, was also horrible to Aiden. Cheated on him. Lied to him. Ugh. I remember that episode where Samantha let her have it about starting up with Big again. I was totally on Miranda's side there.
It's shocking to know that people find Carrie as a great role model and TV character, yet totally overlook the fact that if anyone did what she did in real life, they'd probably become a social outcast who nobody likes.
Honestly Rory Gilmore gave off plenty of red flags prior to going to Yale, she was constantly a shitty friend to Lane and she missed her mother's graduation (and left her present on the bus) so spend the day with Jess. She treated Dean horribly, over and over. Her whole personality was based on being well read, intelligent and good at school. She was not at all well rounded, and given how competitive schools like Yale are, it's a miracle she got in. She also crumbled at the slightest sign of critisim and adversity. Which was still a theme in the reboot, by which time she was in her 30s. Ted Mosely was aweful. Robin, and all the other women, deserved better, a lot better. As for Carrie.. .whoo boy!! Girl is a hot hot hot mess! Seriously her own worst enemy.
I agree almost about everything about Rory but the part with Dean. Dean was an abusive boyfriend that always yells at her and tried to control her. He is not the good guy that everyone thinks he is. That doesn't excuse the fact that Rory cheats him with Jess.
I completely agree about Rory. Never liked her from the beginning but kept watching because I really like some of the other characters. She's one of those people who was put on a pedestal her whole life by her mom, boys, her grandparents, and the whole town. It went to her head.
Blair Waldorf & Chuck Bass were the true protagonists of Gossip Girl, and the entire fandom knows it. After maybe midway through Season 3, Serena became VERY annoying and stupid, and it seemed like the writers didn't really know what to do with her.
The funny part about Gossip Girl is that Blair and Serena both have one of my favorite (or two in this case) female names. Chuck is also one of my favorite male names.
@michonnewalker4246 I remembered asking my mom if I could watch Gossip Girl when I was like 10 or 11 and looking back, even know I can technically watch it now since I'm 19, I'm glad I didn't get into it (yet, anyway)
I get why Rory is so high on the list. It's hard to watch her downfall happen in the later seasons, but the worst part of it is she just uses her wealth to get by without sctually thinking of any consequences of her actions. It also didn't really make sense to me that no one (besides Lorelai ) called her out on dropping out of yale, stealing a boat, etc. Everyone was like "Rory is being Rory" which also plays a factor in her downfall and insufferable actions.
I also hated how she treated her grandparents after she moved out. She left without telling them and didn't speak to them for months after everything they did for her. They let her live in their house, got her a job, remodeled the pool house for her, did everything for her and she treated them like dirt after the fact and still didn't apologize even after they finally confronted her. And the fact that she slept with a married guy, dated him after his divorce and then moved on to Logan and ended up happy with him was so irritating. Her life in the reboot was basically karma finally catching up to her in my opinion.
@@JS-mg1mk exactly she's so insufferable and it drives me crazy how no one around her holds her accountable for anything. the scene where logan tells her to get off her high horse when she wrote that article making fun of rich kids as if she isn't also rich and privileged and spoiled is one of my favorite scenes in the show lmao
Rachel berry and Will Schuster both should be at 1. Will let Rachel do the horrible stuff, he was a teacher but he manipulated the kids. He punished melissa for not wearing clothes she wasn't comfortable with but he didn't say anything to Rachel when she send someone to crackhouse out of jealousy.
"Zack Morris is Trash!" That's the first thing I thought of as soon as Zach made the list. Mark Paul Gosselaar has even stated that he enjoys the show, so at least he has a great sense of humour! 😁
Lena Dunham is just as annoying as her character, Hannah Horvath. If she created “Girls” just to give us a reason to be annoyed by her, then she succeeded.
I remember hearing all these great things about Girls so I watched it. I hated everyone except Shoshanna. To this day when I see Adam Driver I think what a dick.
Honestly I think Carrie Bradshaw should've been #1. Rachel is a handful and she does alot of bs over the seasons but she did also have her moments of growth and maturity
also, carrie is a fully grown woman who should know better than what she does. rachel can at least use the excuse that she’s a high schooler who has time to grow and mature (which at some brief points in the show she does)
I hate Rachel Berry so much. As Santana said once in the show, you've betrayed half of this room multiple times and you don't even know the name of the other half. Although Santana was to savage sometimes, she grew as a character and she was always there for her friends, not like Rachel. But the worst was that Mr Shue let her be like that and treat the others like that. Just like Ryan Murphy did with Lea Michele in real life
Thank you for including Carrie Bradshaw! Terrible friend, bad girlfriend and awful wife ( eventually) . As much as this show tries to be about female friendships, she was awful at them.
I agree with most picks on this list. I think there’s something to be said about how many of these characters are high schoolers that are learning about themselves and making adult decisions.
That is a good point. A lot of teens are very messy, they don’t have the maturity and foresight yet to make the right choices sometimes. They probably should’ve made this an adult list. Like people loathe Ginny in Ginny and Georgia when Georgia is an actual murderer. But Ginny is a teen and annoying and makes awful decisions and disrespects her mom (who is also pretty awful but she tries). I don’t think teens should get a pass for every bad thing they do, but it’s not a fair comparison between a teenager and an adult for similar behaviors.
PREACH. I swear everyone needs to stop picking up on this stupid hate trend caused by a bad miscommunicated rumor and wake up already. And I can’t believe official media like Watchmojo/MsMojo is picking up on it too 🤦♀️
Carrie should definitely be #1. Sex and the City is a cultural staple, yet Carrie is the most deplorable character. Her constant mocking of Sam, her demanding that Charlotte pay for her apartment, her disgustingly ignorant views of any other sexuality that isn't heterosexuality, her mocking Miranda for seeking therapy, her stalking Big and his mother, her stalking of Natasha, etc
I didn't think anyone could be more selfish than Carrie....then I watched Girls. Barely made it through that series because of Hannah. She was a bad friend, bad daughter, totally selfish... and don't even get me started on the way she sexually harassed her boss & threatened to expose a sex scandal that didn't happen. Just horrible.
The only reason that I still like Otis is because of Asa Butterfield. Otis is easily the least interesting character, despite being the lead, and his Will They/Won't They arc with Maeve is just getting old. I hope that he'll be redeemed in the final season.
At the beginning I thought that Robin was being really cruel to Ted, but years later after rerun I understood that he always forced her being in his unrealistic dream which she absolutely did not want to be in. And that’s why he was acting like a pathetic victim in the end and looked like one. I think creators could do much better for this character
Not true. It not like Ted going after Robin and she does not want him. She went after him just as many times The only r they did not work was he wanted kids and she wanted to see the world. But got back together at like 55.
Ross Geller should’ve been on this list. He was a horrible friend to Phoebe, a horrible brother to Monica (when their dad gave Monica his car he threw a “I’m the golden child i should get the car” tantrum even though the episode was about how Monica always felt ignored because of Ross), he was a shitty jealous boyfriend to Rachel, Emily, Carol, Mona, Julie, Bonnie (the girl he broke up with for shaving her head), even though Rachel was devoted to him he was so jealous when ever she was with any guy who wasn’t Chandler or Joey and was convinced she would cheat on him ONLY TO CHEAT ON HER (I don’t care about the “we were on a break “ argument, he cheated, if he didn’t think he did anything wrong why would he spend the next episodes trying to hide it from Rachel instead having an adult conversation with her about it?), HE DATED ONE OF HIS STUDENT, he completely abandoned his son when he got his dream family with Rachel, and my least favorite thing about Ross…he made Rachel give up her dream job in Paris to be with him (and probably any job in her field in general because she accepted the job and backed out at the last minute, that’s gotta put her on some sort of “do not hire, untrustworthy” industry blacklist), she should’ve stayed on the plane
Thank you for the vampire diaries one!! It blew my mind how supportive everyone was of Elena switching love interest to the brother!!! For seasons her and Stefan had this epic love story that we fell in love with and cheered for and then it ends with her being end game with his brother?! Wild.
I agree 100%. This is another case of a TV show or movie rewriting a book with a totally different ending! Elena in the books is not the character in the show. Tossing Stefan aside for his truly terrible brother was horrible. I know this was probably done because Ian Sommerholder and Nina Dobrev were a couple IRL, but it ruined the story and made it into a celebration of horrible people rather than a story of redemption and living with a curse. Really disappointing.
True. And not just that the shipper fight is the least of the problems. She an awful sister to Jeremy, an awful friend to Bonnie and Caroline, a terrible girlfriend to Stefan and all she does is whine.
I was looking for this! Meredith Grey is just an annoying character all over. She doesn't have any charisma and besides being not nice sometimes she's also very very boring and completely forgettable.
@@gbear2253why would think will smith is the worst main character have you seen the top 100 greatest tv characters of all time they did put mereith grey too and awesome character ever seen!
@@mayaeiland he was funny and iconic absolutely!! But he was a jerk! Just like Zack Morris, they both were memorable characters but typical entitled youngsters. Will Smith jerk moves: 1. Constantly insulting his cousin for being short and a preppy 2. Tricking Jeffery into thinking he won the lottery 3. Treating women like objects and chasing them using silly pickup lines 4. Faking a marriage to a girl just to get her into bed 5. Defying and disrespecting uncle Phillip’s rules AND making fat jokes 6. Taking long to consider Queen Latifah character as a girlfriend just because she was heavy set
I haven't seen most of these shows, but there are a few. - Ally McBeal: While I loved Ally back in the day, for all her quirks, I've grown to find her annoying for all the reasons you mentioned, especially when it came to Billy. I thought it was cute back then, now is just a bit obsessive and unable to let go. But she did have a good ending for her character, in a way. - Dawson's Creek: While I also liked Dawson way back when, I've come to find him irritating. I'm also glad that, while I was all for him and Joey then, time and distance (and growth) made me realize that Joey and Pacey were way better. Even Katie Holmes (I learned while reading an article recently) wanted J&P, rather than J&D, insisted on it, and I'm glad that TPTB listened.
Here's the thing. I don't think Tori Vega is the worst. At all. In fact, she's actually one of my favorite characters in "Victorious." Yes, she did pretty selfish things, but the good thing is, she ACTUALLY makes up for her mistakes. She's able to admit when she's wrong, and she does assume responsibility for her selfish actions. In fact, Tori is one of the sweetest characters in the show because she's able to help people when they need her, and hey, we can't deny that she's a really good singer and helper. Thanks, Victoria Justice. 👍🏻
I feel like Elena from TVD is very overhated. Yes she is annoying & always in need of saving BUT with everything she went through, losing her parents, Jenna, John & Jeremy, watching her birth mother literally set on fire in front of her, and turning into a vampire all within what 2 years!? I would actually lose my mind if all this happened to me in a short period of time.
Plus the fact that people blame her for Stefan and Damon being hurt when Stefan stalked her and Damon killed her brother as well as Stefan attempting to kill her
She literally murdered people lol I think she’s by far the worst on this list, though I’d rank Nancy Botwin (Weeds) and Don Draper (Mad Men) as 1 and 2 above Elena who I’d place at 3.
@@meredithhateseveryone6706 the subject of this video is “main characters” not supporting characters, so the supporting characters traits are irrelevant to this debate
Tori Vega is overhated. She’s actually one of the more likable characters on the show. If anyone on Victorious deserves hate, it’s Robbie. He is creepy and gross and has harassed and assaulted many girls at Hollywood Arts. He is literally grooming Cat and manipulating her because he knows she’s vulnerable. Robbie is the real worst character on Victorious.
I don’t like Robbie either but I would say the real worst character on Victorious is Jade, she’s literally tried to kill Tori on multiple occasions, threatens people on a day to day basis and has no problem checking and lying to get what she wants.
The fact that it wasn’t mentioned that Piper was main character of OITNB because the show was based a a memoir written by the real Piper is just bad on this site. You can not like the character but at least acknowledge why she was the lead.
Although it's true the character Piper Chapman is based on the author of the memoir the series was based on, many of the situations on the show were fictional and therefore they could have easily downplayed the Piper/Alex characters after the first season. The real Piper did not serve time in the same prison as the lesbian lover, and in fact went on to marry the real Larry. So the decision to keep the show focused on Piper and Alex was a choice, and a bad one IMO.
@@lisaleone2296i just don't like seeing lesbian couples on screen. One of my all time favourite shows is the US queer as folk and I couldn't stand the lesbian couple.
Haven’t watched the video yet but I already know Rachel Berry from Glee is on this list😂 Update: just watched it & I didn’t expect Rachel to be number 1🤣
Lea was totally playing herself! She AND Lena with Hannah from in Girls (even know I like Girls - both the show and gender) were playing themselves, especially after the flak Lena's getting!
I honestly think Jack Shephard is a bit of a stretch in this list. I know he made a ton of errors and other characters were way more likeable, but he is not bad. He had to face all that impossible situations and he felt the pressure of being a leader. Even when he was betrayed by his friends, he still acted selfless… he’s better than everyone else in this list. For example he’s waaaaaaay better than Elena Gilbert.
This one goes to Frank from Moesha . He judged Mo for everything yet he had a secret love child from an Afair with MO’s deceased mom that feathered Dorian tore the family apart and he gets on Mo for dating Q
Frank was definitely flawed, but those last 2 seasons RUINED his character. His character was supposed to be written in a way that surpasses black stereotypes. Having Dorian be his secret son and cheating on Moesha's mom ruined all that. Sheryl Lee Ralph basically quit after the writers pulled that move.
Usually, in real life, people that are "tough" and very judgemental are the ones that have made many mistakes, or envy other people, so when they judge or critizice someone, they're really criticizing themselves indirectly.
@@yespls6260 I can't believe I watched every episode of that show as a man in his 20's at the time. It was such a shitshow, but definitely one of those trainwrecks you just turn away from
Nice to see Zack and Dawson on the list. Also, great call on including Carrie, and here's an often overlooked moment: remember how she played gatekeeper with Steve while in the delivery room with Miranda when she had Brady? She wouldn't let him coach or even hold his son right after he was born? I was like, b1tch, is that your baby?! I don't care if Miranda did want her in there; you're still a guest, and if you want to run things when someone is in labor, become a doctor then!
To be fair, it’s more than “Miranda wanted her there” she literally asked Carrie to do what she did, if anything I’ve always been annoyed at Miranda for asking her to do such a vile thing… poor Steve.
I agree with Ted Mosby being on the list, for the reasons you mentioned and plus the fact that he always dressed like shit to go out on dates when he's trying to find the woman of his dreams. But to have him on the list and not have Robin Scherbatsky on it as well? What the hell? She was conceited, never appreciated Ted, never did anything out of her way for her friends even though they did things for her, she was constantly screaming, and I mean SCREAMING, at her sweet co-worker Patrice, and while it's one thing to be confident, who wants to hang out with a person who always refers to themselves as the "hottest girl" wherever they happen to be at the moment?
Ted literally married a woman, she had two children for him like he always wanted, then she “died” suddenly but the kids were already raised so he was free to race after robin again…who literally flat out told him she didn’t want marriage or kids. But he forced everything on her constantly and every chance he had he would tell her he loved her even though he didn’t. He was obsessed with her, not in love. Barney loved her and they were perfect together, just like joey and rachel were perfect for eachother but the show split them up 🙄 Ted is a total piece of shit and constantly puts himself between Marshall and lily in every big moment of their lives, when their baby was born he sent an email where he put a massive picture of himself ONTOP of theirs. He tried to control lily while she was pregnant even saying they wouldn’t be using an epidural like who the hell does he think he is telling a woman what to do when it comes to childbirth? And his kids? Man alive those poor kids, listening to their dad obsessing over someone WHO ISNT THEIR MOTHER when the show is literally called how I met your MOTHER and they have her in a couple episodes then she dies mysteriously. Probably poisoned by ted. He cheated on his girlfriends he would put himself first constantly, he ruined relationships, he ruined special occasions with random girls and had the NERVE to get angry at everyone, he never apologises because an apology comes with a change of behaviour…he doesn’t change. He dates loads of women promises them many things then suddenly breaks up with them and left them in his apartment for marshall to come home to. The disrespect he shows his kids mother is ridiculous because “they’re not robin” even though robin is so wrong for him and he is wrong for her, nothing in common, she continuously says he is terrible in bed and he cheated and completely disrespected her wants and needs. She didn’t even really love him, she loved barney that was real love. The same with Ross like he is this awful toxic shitty cheating character and he ends up with rachel even after all he does throughout the series. I will NEVER understand why they’re painted as the good guys and how they ended up with happy endings they didn’t deserve surrounded by people who shouldn’t have them in their lives
Or Barney, even though the show was in on the joke was a psychopath or Lily who ran up massive credit card debt without telling her husband and unilaterally decided to ruin almost every one of Ted's relationships
@@ilDSttaro because of the title of the show, I understand why your identifying Ted Mosby as the main protagonist in the series, but over the years it really became an ensemble cast with all of them having story arcs, so we could make the argument that all five of the main characters are protagonists.
Carrie Bradshaw is #1 worst one for me but a close second is Meredith Grey. She whiny and not a good friend and she always said she didn't want to turn into her mother and then did 🙄
Ah, Rory Gilmore hurts. She’s such a great counterpart to Lorelei and has great chemistry with Lane and Dean…and then devolves over time. I can hear the arguments that by being put on a pedestal all her life and then hitting a wall in college, she went awry…but we see Jess go from a selfish punk to someone with ambition and a solid head on his shoulders after leaving. And we see Rory become more self-centered, more willing to take the privileges that Logan and her grandparents’ wealth give her and just less compelling. The original series finale actually is a nice end for Rory…until A Year In the Life totally ruins her all over again. I think the Palladino’s had a character arc they wanted to Rory that would have played better for her to be in her early 20s than early 30s and just didn’t change it.
Personally, the show made me hate Amy Sherman Pallidino. Those characters were such obvious Mary Sues. When she was unhappy with the show toward the end, and when she planned to leave, she tanked all the characters and plots on purpose out of spite. Then she obviously saw the sequel as a way to redo the last season her way, with no regard to the actual time that passed or the ages of the characters. I’ve refused to watch anything else from her since then.
Rory spent her Chilton years being given everything and told she is smart with little effort. Mitchum Huntzberger was the first person not to be impressed by her pile of books. Rory was unprepared and her later downfall was a realistic result of her prior years.
@@cbushin Mitchum was just fucking with her. Everyone else at the paper liked her work and they wanted her back. Also she struggled when she got to private school. So no he wasn’t the first person to not be impressed by her books the headmaster and most of her teachers were unimpressed at first also.
@@tracim3080 he was right tho. she didn't have what it took to be a journalist and her failure in the revival proves that. she should've been an author.
This explanation of Ted Mosby perfectly explains why it was bullshit that the show had him end up with Robin. The alternate ending on UA-cam is what I choose to believe in.
Yeah no, jade was a cow to Tori so no, every bit of revenge that she got on Jade was justified. Just because Jade was “built as a mean girl” doesn’t excuse the behavior
Tori was forced to act like a dog and had coffee spilled on her by Jade for absolutely no reason. And many more things were done to her by Jade. Jade lied about Tori hitting her with a stick during a fake fighting rehearsal. Fake blood, fake black eye. And even after the truth came out, Tori didn't report Jade but went on with the punishment she was given. Jade tried to destroy Tori's Prom program. Tori went beyond her limits to find a sponsor for Jade's play. Even though it wasn't her Job. Jade intentionally made sure the blood Tori donated for Robbie's surgery was misplaced. Just so she (Jade) who was Tori's understudy would play the role of Steamboat Susy. And all this is from just season 1 and a few episodes of season 2. GIVE TORI A BREAK!!!
I would have put Rory much higher, especially after the Year in the life, and Carrie lower. Carrie is not the best character, but I don’t see anything wrong with send someone else to help if you can’t do it yourself. She still found a way to help, she didn’t leave Miranda abandoned on the floor. As for the way she treated Aidan… he wasn’t any better. He didn’t respect her, he didn’t listen to her and kept pushing her boundaries.
Seriously?? She was a horrible friend, you don't leave a friend like that and send your boyfriend without even telling this friend who is naked...🙄she was horrible to all her other friends and everything had to be about her all the time, she cheated on Aiden, cheated for a while while always treating him horribly and she cheated with the person that treated her like trash, she was always making everything about her and toyed with everyone that wasn't Big. Aiden treated her like a person and she wanted the guy who treated her like a toilet and you say that Aiden pushed her boundaries...that's hilarious
@@arfinjalal4563 because he did some shady things. Like tricking Jeffery into thinking he won the lottery. Jeffery was a hardworking butler and it hurt his feelings so bad that he left and felt shamed. Also when he tricked a girl into marriage to get her into bed. He was going to take her virginity. Completely disrespected her beliefs. The way he treated women as objects. And the short jokes to his cousin and fat jokes to his uncle.
imo tori is overhated. yeah she was wrong for kissing cat's bf & beck. but it was a mistake yall act like tori is not allowed to make mistakes. imo shes one of the only characters to groq
people need to realize that tori was ONLY KISSING BECK TO GET BACK AT JADE especially for starting this whole thing with jealousy for no reason, Tori kissing beck was justified and acceptable because it was just Only acting, that's the one thing people don't seem to get, so THANK YOU FINALLY SOMEONE WHO SEES THIS AS JUSTIFICATION AND ACCEPTABLE RATHER THAN OTHERWISE
sick of this whole tori hate bandwagon, what can y’all really find wrong with this girl? yeah she made some mistakes, but come on now, she’s human. y’all don’t get on robbie for the stuff he says through rex, y’all praise jade even though she literally attempted to K!LL tori, but as soon as tori does something, she’s the worst person alive.
@@dianastella it's bad enough to call her unlikeable ITS EVEN WORSE TO AAY SHE ISNT HUMAN, YOU NEED HELP, BECUASE SHES MORE THAN A TV CHARACTER, SHE IS A HUMAN WITH HUMAN FEELINGS AS WELL, AND SHES A LIKEABLE CHARACTER TOO
I feel like the only reason people don’t like Tori is because as kids they wanted to be quirky like jade or cat, and they are still biased because of their nostalgia so their only excuse for not liking her is because of a moment in one episode and that “the rest of the cast is more talented than her” when what they really mean is she’s not Ariana Grande. When you actually think about it it makes sense that Tori gets all of the special parts because she’s easy to work with, talented, and a good kid. There was one moment that she wasn’t a good person, but all of the other characters have so many bad moments that outweigh kissing beck,(and let’s be honest Jade totally deserved it) the characters are training for the acting industry, Jade should get used to her boyfriend kissing someone else for a part. Tori along with Andre is the only one who acts normal and treats things that aren’t okay like they aren’t okay. She stands out to the teachers who run Hollywood arts because she’s professional
When they said the other characters were more talented than her, that veered right into “we hate the actress, not the character”. Kinda gross for adults to be picking on a young woman like that.
Ah no, not Ally Mc Beal😅 She's my absolute favourite. Carrie Bradshaw should be number 1. She's a self-absorb, drama magnet spoil brat. And where is Meredith Grey? She's so meh. So bland.
I have to disagree about Tori Vega being the most hated character. For instance in the kissing scene of the pilot, not only was Tori getting revenge at Jade for her having her act like a dog, Jade chose to dunk her coffee on Tori simply because Tori made a simple mistake and bumped into Beck and spilled his coffee and she tried to clean it up. That was it, people seem to only pay attention to Tori kissing Beck, but they conveniently forget Jade started it because of her rampant jealousy. It's true that her friends are more talented especially Cat and Jade, but to say that that's also another reason to hate Tori is grasping at straws. The whole point of Hollywood Arts is to have talented students and give them the skills needed to become actors, singers, producers, or other members of the entertainment industry, so of course Tori was going to be surrounded by talented people, some even more than her.
YEA, IKR RIGHT, PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS SAYING THAT ITS INEXCUSABLE FOR TORI TO KISS BECK BUT WHEN JADE DOES SOMETHING BAD PEOPLE SAY NOTHING, IM TIRED OF THAT, people need to realize that tori was ONLY KISSING BECK TO GET BACK AT JADE especially for starting this whole thing with jealousy for no reason, Tori kissing beck was justified and acceptable because it was just Only acting, that's the one thing people don't seem to get, so THANK YOU FINALLY SOMEONE WHO SEES THIS AS JUSTIFICATION AND ACCEPTABLE RATHER THAN OTHERWISE
Yeah. This was the thing I always hated. Everytime Tori made one single mistake, everyone got mad, even when she made up for her wrongdoings. But when Jade does something that's even worse than Tori's actions, the people say nothing. Like, seriously. Jade did things like, force Tori to give three pints of blood to Robbie so she could steal Tori's lead role, she tried to sabotage Tori's prom *(even though Jade could have rescheduled her performance for next Saturday),* and she drove her in the middle of the desert, and the fans say nothing about it? What?! I like Jade a lot, but there were definitely so many things she did that I got mad about.
@@mizzyqueenthere were a lot of episodes where it showed that Tori wanted to be friends with Jade despite all the stuff that Jade did, so it showed that Tori was the better person overall
Is Ross from "Friends" not considered a main character? Surprised I didn't see him on the list, especially how he treated Rachel in the earlier seasons.
I knew that Rachel will be on the no.1 spot. She's really obnoxious, and the fact that some people said that Lea Michele is an annoying person too, I assume that it was easy for her to portray Rachel.
While I am glad you included Jack (because he was my first thought) you should have just said, "We hate female leads." Out of twenty, all but five are women? Eric: That Seventies Show, Ross f-ing Geller, Tim: Home Improvement, JD: Scrubs: there are plenty of shows that were good despite an obnoxious male lead
Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. Scott from Teen Wolf. Alan from Two and Half Men. Archie Andrews from Riverdale. I was totally surprised that Ross wasn't on the List considering Ted was. Not saying the list was wrong because all those Characters were unlikable but there were a lot more that deserved to make at least an honorable mention
Eric and JD are great characters (with good arcs imo). I think the characters are just meant to be awkward. But I have to agree with Ross, I was one of the few who didn't want Rachel to get off the plane
Some characters I can’t stand: - Ted Mosby & Robin Scherbatsky (HIMYM) - Rachel Green (Friends) - Penny (The Big Bang Theory) - Jessie Prescott (Jessie) - Sally Reed (Barry)
@@christopherbingham5092 I agree with everything except Penny and Jessie. Penny was underrated. Sure she wasn't perfect, but she was ride or die for those guys. Also, Jessie constantly made sacrifices and was more of a parent to the Ross kids than they're actual parent. Why is she here?
I always thought Sally is saposed to be a selfish delusional unlikable untalented girl and that barry was wasting his time with the whole acting class love barry though and noho hank obviously haha
For Zach Morris, they didn't even mention all the crap he made Screech do and how manipulative he was towards him. He just used him to do things because he refused to get his hands dirty unless he absolutely had to
Alison DiLaurentis *was* the best written character on PLL. She was the “worst” in terms of her personality, but she *was* the best character in the show until S5. Also I think Tori & Elena are overhated.
Serena van der woodsen was also hated too but out of jealousy that almost got her killed. If you remove Alisons personally people would still be jealous because she’s popular
Yes, I think Joey Potter brings out the worst in everyone. Also she is usually shown as self involved when it comes to her so called girlfriends Jen and Audrey.
Ted Mosby was so deplorable, he makes my blood boil - and the way he treated his friends was appalling, especially the way he treated Barney which was beyond disgusting
A fan theory makes his treatment of Barney even worse. The fan theory is that we only see Barney from Ted's narration and Ted made up Barney's playbook and misogyny in order to make himself look better in comparison. Ted needed Barney to look bad next to him.
After rewatching the show during quarantine, I realize that Ted AND Lily were the worst friends in the group. Ted was a glorified stalker and Lily used and manipulated everyone....especially Marshall. No wonder his mother couldn't stand her.
Anyone think it’s problematic that 75% of the main characters on this list are female? Especially considering as of 2022, 62% of main characters are male…
June Osborne on Handmaid's Tale. A lot of it was survival and trauma but especially in later seasons the way she was willing to take advantage of her friends, using her husband and her baby daddy makes it hard to root for her. I think all the lead characters on Vampire Diaries are terrible. They all lie to each other and act very selfishly, and almost all of them commit murder without facing consequences.
The reason Rachel Berry was such a horrible person is that she was a product of only-child syndrome with parents that gave her whatever she wanted and didn't actually do anything to discipline her when she misbehaved and when others tried to get her to realize she was being a rude, obnoxious, selfish jerk she just assumed they were jealous of her talent and wanted to sabotage her. Sure she had moments where she was kind and compassionate, but they were permanently ruined by her doing those things because she would benefit from them or because she would do something heartless and selfish a couple seconds later.
Yes. I don't think Rachel was a bad person. I just think she was spoiled by her two dads, especially Mr. Schuester because he never really calls her out on her actions and gives her most of the solos, even though Rachel already had enough solos. Yes, I don't like Rachel as a character at all, but you have to blame Mr. Schue for making her stay like a jerk. When anyone else left the Glee Club for a reasonable reason, he didn't care. But if Rachel left the club for some minor problem, he begged her to come back. Yep, Rachel's definitely the favorite due to "main character syndrome"
Some spoiled kids are not the only child and some only children are not spoiled at all. It's a dumb stereotype to assume all only children are spoiled.
Nope, got to say the more annoying person in Gilmore Girls was Lorelai; a mother who parentified her child to the point of never allowing her to make safe mistakes as a teenager so she could learn and grow. Who bullied Jess, a literal child her daughters age, for reminding her of Christopher and getting his own uncle to believe and accept her bullying as truth. Who expected and pressured her child to make up for the life said child took from her. The moment Rory deviated from that path, or Lorelai thought she was, whether it was with Jess or Yale she was ungrateful and given the silent treatment. Rory, the child/young adult, gets so much shade for her actions and mistakes. But Lorelai, the adult, gets so little for hers.
I get that Jade wasn't perfect but Tori isn't either. I wouldn't have minded a retaliation, understandable. But kissing somebody's boyfriend isn't really a classy revenge, imo.

Yeah, but he's designed to be an evil little shit - the characters features above are mostly meant to be rooted for when written, but fall short and are disliked unintentionally
The list is more focused on characters we are meant to root for. It's very clear that in the majority of situations we are not meant to root for Cartman.
Eric Cartman is not the worst did you see on watchmojo of how best character of Eric Cartman of top 10 before, and they didn’t forget Eric Cartman they only put the main character of the worst of live action tv shows!
Ally McBeal was very funny in my opinion. I have watched all the episodes. I just didn’t like the last season in which Ally suddenly turned out to be a mother, and Dame Edna joined the cast playing Claire Otoms. That was just far too silly.
I will never understand the hatred for Jack. Seriously anyone in their right mind would think Locke was insane trying to kill people and force people to stay on an island where people are kidnapping people and terroriizing them. Everything jack is totally relateable in the situation. And the dawson hate.....oh my god a 16 year old boy got upset over his 2 best friends lying to him. And he got over it. Pacey was the one who went downhill after season 3.
Tori wasn’t a bad person She took her sisters place in the big showcase cause of a setback landing her in the school I do agree that she shouldn’t have lashed out at Jade the way she did yet she learns the meaning of the bird scene and how to treat others Kade says she doesn’t like her yet it’s clear she does She even took two detentions and cleaned the cafeteria even after finding out Jade faked the black eye She has many friends and is a hood person and means well She also goes out on a limb for her sister when they get anew Pricilla who doesn’t think they should keep her in the school She has done more hood than bad and she was just trying to find her way
The worst part about Victorious was that everyone else except Victoria Justice is the problem... quiet on Set has showed that to us and now I feel bad about her
Thank you for putting Ally McBeal in the list. For many reasons, I could never stand her while the show was great. She is immature, bratty, annoying, selfish and hypocrite. She acts like she is better than her snobish coworkers but she is actually worse because at least these girls are openely snob. For instance she called her secretary pathetic while she was supposed to be her friend. She first refused to date a guy until she finds out that he is a judge and then dumps him because he is bisexual. She tells a bride in front of everyone, at her wedding day, that she had an affair with her husband. She kissed her ex boyfriend while he is married and then acts surprised when his wife is after her. The worst was when she bullied a new colleague because he replaced his dead friend, while the guy was not responsable of what happened. She makes everything about herself.
I still think Emison are soulmates. I love Calista Flockhart. The reason people don't like Tori is the whole premise of the show. She's suposed to be average. She's an average teenager who goes to an art school filled with incredibly talented people. She's the type of character the audience is supposed to relate to like Sokka in ATLA.
There is a fine line between giving a character flaws to make them relatable yet showing you don't need to be flawless to be successful and making them flawed without consequences
This might well be an unpopular opinion but I have an urge to come to Serena Van Der Woodsen's defence LOL. Yes she was extremely flawed as everyone else is on this list and made terrible mistakes, but she (for the most part) takes accountability for her poor actions throughout the series, and most of them derive from a place of love (albeit selfish, unwise or careless) rather than a place of spite or hatred. I always thought she had such a sweet and caring heart for the most part throughout the series, we see how she will go huge lengths to help her friends without a second thought and is very forgiving for the times that she is wronged. Blake Lively just radiates class, and knows how to make a character like Serena likable - perfect casting there imo. I think I would have probably disliked Serena had anyone else portrayed her, because personally, I just can't be mad at Blake 😂
She isn't even the worst main character on GG. How it isnt Chuck idk, the guy sexually assaulted two women on the show, had lawsuits for sexual harassment and sold Blair for a hotel. He is easily worse than Serena.
Ally McBeal is my all-time favorite show, primarily because I could associate with a lot of what was going on in Ally's head. When I was finally proper diagnosis with having autism about five years ago, I re-watched the entire series again. I don't know if that's how David E. Kelley wrote her character, but I would actually say that I believe she was autistic as well, as some of her actions, the ability to over-focus on things that honestly don't matter to anyone but herself and how at times, she was "socially awkward."
I think Tori doesn’t deserve all the hate, she’s not my fave but she’s not the worst in my book, Jade can be horrible ( but I like her), I actually Really hate Beck 😂
Im soo glad that someone is actually saying this, they always try way too hard to make them seem relatable and cool but just end up being irritating and annoying, they should try to make them at least more responsible and able to own up to their shit

@@alexisbutler8418 She definitely deserves at least an honorable mention. Her and Jessica Day from New Girl. Both are very annoying and self centered
Archie Andrews
The worst part abt Rachel Berry is that she never faces ANY consequences for her actions. She just gets everything she wants and we're just supposed to be happy for her and accept that the characters she treated the worst are suddenly besties with her without any apologies.
Making Rachel a Karma Houdini in the making.

Nah, Carrie shouldn't have been on the list at all.
I agree, Carrie should be on this list. She is so self centered. She loves her friends but always has to b reminded their needs are some times more important than hers and she always cheats on her men.
@shadelings yeah .... dude .... she should
Carrie Bradshaw deserved her OWN top ten “worst friend moment”!
Leah Michele was pretty much playing herself on “Glee”. Much like her character, Rachel Berry, she prioritizes her career and fame over her friends and belittles people around her.
You speak facts and the fact she hasn’t been brought down yet is upsetting.
I have always hated her she thought she was all that but in reality she was threatening by every one
Lea Michele x Rachel Berry (I'll stop-)
I didn't watch Glee. I only know Leah Michelle because another cast mate killed themselves and she went to the beach instead of his funeral and I saw that in the news. Back when "fake news" meant something not newsworthy and not something that inconveniences Donald Trump.
@@your_local_questerianI think schue is far worse than Rachel for plethora of reason
1. He scolded Rachel for treating sunshine with jealousy when only seconds before he bullies beist bc he feels threatened that beist's football fund might cost glees their funds. ( tho that can be partly justified bc it was sues idea first)
2. He twerks and possibly lap-dance his students
3. We understand sue is billed as the mean teacher but even she doesn't deserved to be stood up on their "date" especially when three of her cheerleader girls are part of his glee
4. He puts on a racist Spanish presentation in his Spanish class literally with Santana in it and said the reason he took it bc it's the only spot open.
5. He suspend Marley for not dressing provocatively for lady Gaga (and I seem to be the only one to respect her dress code)

She spent her high school years being told she is super smart and her later years were the logical conclusion to that.

She went after him just as many times
The only r they did not work was he wanted kids and she wanted to see the world.

Elena in the books is not the character in the show. Tossing Stefan aside for his truly terrible brother was horrible.

At all. In fact, she's actually one of my favorite characters in "Victorious."
Yes, she did pretty selfish things, but the good thing is, she ACTUALLY makes up for her mistakes.

@@lexa_power So did literally everyone in the show so why does Elena deserve hate?
@@meredithhateseveryone6706 the subject of this video is “main characters” not supporting characters, so the supporting characters traits are irrelevant to this debate
@@lexa_power I'm well aware of that but I'm pretty sure there is more than one main character of TVD, if memory serves me correctly.
Agreed, Tori was supposed to be the "Normal" main character, to contrast everyone else's zaniness, and I appreciated her down to earth nature.
literally agree
I don’t like Robbie either but I would say the real worst character on Victorious is Jade, she’s literally tried to kill Tori on multiple occasions, threatens people on a day to day basis and has no problem checking and lying to get what she wants.
@@spencersawesomevideos7022 I agree that Jade is terrible. She’s second to Robbie as the worst, but it’s a very close second.
Who does Robbie assault & how does he groom Cat? He doesn't get anywhere with anyone. He's almost an outcast.
Haven’t watched the video yet but I already know Rachel Berry from Glee is on this list😂

Yep, you must be a mind reader. Even as a teenager, I found Rachel so annoying, yet she constantly got everything handed to her.
@@trinaqfrom the second episode i could already tell she was a bitch😂😂😂
I definitely agree that Lea Michele is a real life Rachel Berry.
It's no wonder Rachel Berry is number 1.
This one goes to Frank from Moesha . He judged Mo for everything yet he had a secret love child from an Afair with MO’s deceased mom that feathered Dorian tore the family apart and he gets on Mo for dating Q
While I agree that the man is trash, he's not the main character.
But frank isn't the main character tho lol, it's moesha.
Amy Jurgens from Secret Life of the American Teenager not being on this list is a tragedy
She was awful.

Watching Dawson's Creek as an adult made me realize how terrible Dawson treated Joey
To be fair, it’s more than “Miranda wanted her there” she literally asked Carrie to do what she did, if anything I’ve always been annoyed at Miranda for asking her to do such a vile thing… poor Steve.
@@mzspargoyup
Barney loved her and they were perfect together, just like joey and rachel were perfect for eachother but the show split them up 🙄 Ted is a total piece of shit and constantly puts himself between
Marshall and lily in every big moment of their lives, when their baby was born he sent an email where he put a massive picture of himself ONTOP of theirs.
I felt bad for Patrice.
You are right, but this a list about protagonists
That’s what made her more relatable tho was the break down in college. That’s very typical of over achieving teenagers.

Exactly
I was about to comment this!
Yop
maybe but it doesn’t change how tori was outside of that
Tori was forced to act like a dog and had coffee spilled on her by Jade for absolutely no reason.

Is this a list of most hated female characters? The disproportionate number of female vs male characters is astounding.

Right. He was s***ty to Joey
YEA, IKR RIGHT, PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS SAYING THAT ITS INEXCUSABLE FOR TORI TO KISS BECK BUT WHEN JADE DOES SOMETHING BAD PEOPLE SAY NOTHING, IM TIRED OF THAT, people need to realize that tori was ONLY KISSING BECK TO GET BACK AT JADE especially for starting this whole thing with jealousy for no reason, Tori kissing beck was justified and acceptable because it was just Only acting, that's the one thing people don't seem to get, so THANK YOU FINALLY SOMEONE WHO SEES THIS AS JUSTIFICATION AND ACCEPTABLE RATHER THAN OTHERWISE
not only that, jade & tori were not friends-
Tori may have been a bland character, but Jade was a glorified bully. When Tori kissed Beck in the first episode, I cheered. She deserved it.
What?!

@@JonahWillmarth-hj4htThat's because most of the writers are still men. Men never cared about women enough to learn what they are acutally like.
But not all criticism by others is valid, and some do criticize because they are jealous. It is a fact!
Some spoiled kids are not the only child and some only children are not spoiled at all. It's a dumb stereotype to assume all only children are spoiled.
My picks are Lea Michelle on Glee & Ariana Grande on anything!
Sabrina higher than Elena? Absolutely not!
I've never understood why Kate chose Jack when Sawyer was better in every way and actually grew from a borderline villain to an outright hero.
On the other hand, Juliet was way better than Kate, so I get why Sawyer picked Juliet over her, even if he was better than Jack.

I could not agree with you more about Zack Morris & Carrie Bradshaw!
Zack Morris yes but Ms. Mojo overlooked Will Smith character of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. What an awful individual, meaning character!!!!
Someone make a Zack Morris is Trash inspired series on Carrie Bradshaw!
Ally doesn’t belong here. I love that show.
There is a fine line between giving a character flaws to make them relatable yet showing you don't need to be flawless to be successful and making them flawed without consequences
I love seeing Carrie get cancelled finally
Exactly!
I’m autistic too, and I relate so much to Ally!
And was a little offended they put her on the list.
I think Tori doesn’t deserve all the hate, she’s not my fave but she’s not the worst in my book, Jade can be horrible ( but I like her), I actually Really hate Beck 😂
Finally someone who doesn't like Elena. Funny thing is I loved her as Katherine. Elena was way too self righteous.
I loved Katherine as well, her character was unapologetic but honest and a survivor!
The worst part is that she became the exact person she claim to dislike so much.
Dumping Stefan for Damon sealed the deal that she was rotten.
Im soo glad that someone is actually saying this, they always try way too hard to make them seem relatable and cool but just end up being irritating and annoying, they should try to make them at least more responsible and able to own up to their shit
Another Rachel could be on the list , Rachel Green from Friends , she was also annoying
