The fact the Bakugan reboot has survived the last 3 years after all the disasters and missteps that would have killed any other series dead goes to show how strong the concept and toyline really is. I remember the last legacy series thing i got was one of the mechtanians and in that moment even my 12 year old self could tell it was over and it hurt. If only they knew. Getting bakugan back has been a highlight of my adult life so far and i plan to keep following as long as spin master can make it.

Personally while the legacy anime was awesome the new version hits harder as a toy line now that it has proper structure

I still remember how I got scammed by a classmate for my Helix drago** and got a bootleg Ventus spinning Neo dragonoid. That was a grim day

Honestly, seeing Bakugan return is just a Nostalgic thing for me, and everyone else who grew up on the Legacy Series… so it’s just great to finally be in a Community full of awesome people

@@NightcoreBrawler Some say it was rare, which is ironic given how it and I was treated. I 85% percent certain it was a sub-terra Naga, looking at the models. I thought it was something else and had no clue, lol. It's just some of these things, not just bakugan, hurt to think about or remember, especially if it's a reboot or remake I don't personally agree with, like, and/or support. So I usually distance myself from them, and then this will most likely be the same. Oh well. But at least it is continuing for someone else to enjoy, that is good.
I used to be a huge fan when I was a kid, and recently decided to go down a nostalgia trip with my ps2. Now knowing that they actually gave some attention to Leonidas genuinely makes me want to get fully back into bakugan
Honestly im not a huge fan of the new Bakugan, but I love how they were able to put in Leonidas, who I wished was an actual bakugan in the Legacy edition of the game.

Favorite memory from the past 3 years was discovering your channel! it brought me back into hunting down old stuff and developing a solid legacy collection (only missing a B1 skyress and Duel hydranoid to have a full B1 set) and its also allowed me to bring the joy of the new school bakugan to alot of new children who are experiencing bakugan for the first time. really hoping to see some more Bakugan Pro support so i can get out and play!
Great to see Bakugan come back and the community growing bigger than ever. This stuff was my childhood and seeing this now as a back aching adult, it puts a tear to my eye.
Sad we can't get Bakumaster Cimo vs Bakumaster Jettkuso with their very own Bakugans, named after them. But, maybe we will.
I haven't been part of the Bakugan community for a while now, I'm slowly getting back into my Bakugan phase. Also, my favourite memory is just the child-like joy that came from this series. I watched the old show quite a few times, saw the reboot, and instantly got hooked.

the only reason my interest in bakugan was revived was because a friend and i went to london for a shopping trip and found some starter packs in a random toy store in a huge mall, we bought them and played in the airbnb we had rented... now i have 40-50 different bakugan, 15-20 diamonds/elementals and i am still amazed by how many details the creators can add to these small spheres X3
i hope that the cards get a bit easier to find here in europe, after the pandemic ends. but until then i will play with whatever cards i can scrounge up :P
It took a whole Decade but now everyone will get to have Leonidas perched on their shoulder and recreate their favorite scenes from the original Bakugan video game. Thank you Ventus Knight for making the Dream a generation us OG fans had come to life.

I just wish Bakugan gets worldwide, I really love the TCG but I was not able to enjoy it myself. Hope this gets better
I agree. Expecially because in italy, where I live, the bakugan situation is pretty lacklaster. A very little portion of toys shops sell bakugan, and for the most part is the older stuff (the first two seasons of the reboot), on top of that the stores are poorly assorted.
I tried with amazon, and yes, even if I often buy bakugan from there, the newest stuff gets in stock really really late, they are a bit overpriced, and the worst part is that you can't even do diamond/elemental rare hunt, since if you find someone who sells those rarities, 100% is a scalper.

The thing that got me hooked on Bakugan was actually your channel one day when I was watching UA-cam I stumbled upon your channel and I was like and ever since I’ve gotten a few Bakugan‘s I’m actually planning to start my own Bakugan UA-cam channel
My favorite memory, the amount of friends and colleagues I met because of Bakugan and still ongoing.
The Jett Kuso tournament was the best memory by far!!! I didn’t hear of or get into Bakugan until the end of 2020, and when I did, the only thing I wanted to do was play in an organized tournament 😢 THANK GOODNESS people like you and the California crew still hold Bakugan Pro TCG events!!! Nothing would be more fun than official Bakugan Pro TCG organized play 🥺

My favorite memory of the Bakugan reboot was right around release. As a huge bakugan fan as a kid, when the leaks were dropped unofficially, I was really excited with the new designs. As a huge tcg enjoyer, I was really hyped to play a TCG in combination with Bakugan. Within a few weeks into January, me and a friend were hanging out and it was an hour to midnight. And I’m like “Hey do you wanna get the Bakugan reboot?” and we drove half an hour out to a Walmart in a different town to pick up starter sets, and got them like 10 minutes before closing. I had the Aquos Garganoid ultra starter set! We got back and ended up playing for hours late into the night. I’ll never forget that. I hope to play in events soon!
Can't wait for more bakugan. Can't wait for more TCG expansion. Can't wait for Jett's bakugan to come out
I’m sure I speak for a lot of people when I say “Give us Leonidus ASAP!!” I was honestly surprised that it never got a official in the Legacy Series (which I still have a box of in storage complete with Maxus Drago and a few others) or got well…anything else outside his original game so it’s nice to see him finally get some love. They totally could’ve used OG Leo to springboard a Doom Dimension based Sub-Attribute system and Bakugan based off the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the old Legacy Series. That probably could’ve saved it (not that the new one is unwelcomed)!
There are few people of my age that I know/met that know about Bakugans reboot, one person was shocked and excited to know that it was back, that was back in 2018/2019.

I appreciate you logging all this for people. 2019 has been one of my favorite years since at least early childhood, solely because of bakugan. being fortunate enough to attend two of the three conventions they held, while meeting plenty of great people who'd become some of my closest friends really is amazing. It pulls at my heartstrings to think back to 2019, especially during the pandemic and just how down the TCG is right now.
Being able to spend my pandemic days getting to know Gary Arant was something I'm extremely grateful for, because not only was I doing something helpful for the community (while also talking to Gary who I love talking to) but it was impactful enough that I was invited to the 2021 invitational, which I am extremely grateful for.
I just wish I wasn't sick at anime expo and actually talked to people. There were *so* many people I'd become friends with online later in the year that I first met at AX. A bit sad you didn't mention the absolute baller event that was the second tournament you held. Getting to stay with a bunch of Cafe Staff while also hanging out with the texas crew was probably the greatest way to wrap up the year for me, and an event that hasn't wont be topped for a long time.
Being able to visit again last September was lovely, and I'm more than looking forward to whenever the next meetup is going to be. Miss all of you and hoping this franchise only gets better. Bring the TCG back to its former glory 🤘

Hey Jett, I hope we get to see more of your Bakugan unboxing videos. I really enjoy watching your unboxings and I'm pretty sure many people love them too! I live in Malaysia and here (in Asia), we've stopped getting any more new Bakugans from Takara Tomy since fusion Bakugans which is very unfortunate. Personally I still do keep up with Bakugan updates from Spinmaster (although the community here is pretty much dead especially for the TCG), and I kinda wish that more products get distributed here again. So my next best thing to do is watching unboxings on UA-cam and hopefully we'll get to see more from you again once the new line is up. Oh and I would love to see your review and opinion on Jettra. Maybe there's something you'd like to talk about it, like a backstory or how the naming process was done. That's something different and an interesting content. Anyway, keep up with your good work!

My getting involved with a local brawling community has been pretty great, if slow going. I've met some really cool people both in person and online through video brawls. Very appreciative to VentusKnight too for getting Leonidas back.
I'm kind of a bakugan veteran I lived in the year watched the series and got a few toys from the original, and coming back to see that our beautiful monsters are still being made brings me hope that one day bakugan will become the best it can be and more
And for you that is reading I would like to know your favorite bakugan from the reboot mine is Nillious
kinda saddened there wasn't an invitational this year (still hoping) but along the way, I made new friends from the game and even made fanmerch FOR the game. its an awsome community and im enjoying the growth of the product ever so much. I did have talks with 2Dcon, a convention to hold a tournament for there next year convention and there vary vocal and communicative about new tournaments on there discord and socials. I am suggesting getting in touch with them to increase more motivation for the game and future tournaments.
Personally I am very happy about the Leonidas returning because the only actual gameplay of bakugan I've ever played was that really old ds game because there are literally 0 stores I've ever been to with tcg card packs In my area and because no one I know likes bakugan so I'd love to learn melee and be able to play again so I can teach the rules to someone and play

I know right, I feel the pain :( They missed out on so much profit. I talked to a local private owned toy store and they informed me that they can't order TCG items because the distributor doesn't deem it interesting
I didn't realise there was a reboot until I watched this. I was very much into the original series and I still have my Wyvern on my bed back home
back in 2019 15 year old me dismissed the bakugan reboot but in 2021 I decided to look into it and now I heavily regret not getting into it sooner

Some of my favorite bakugan memories of the past year have been getting my friend into the TCG with me (the only caveat being he only plays with cubbos cause they’re cute and easy to close), playing bakugan with my girlfriend, and finding a regularly priced Webam. Good god i miss waking up everyday in elementary and watching bakugan battle brawlers before school with chocolate poptarts. Now im out of school at work and lifes never been as nostalgic as that moment
Man this video is awesome! I actually have been interested in Bakugan since the start of the reboot but I only recently took the dive into it in the last half-year. Oh boy does it sound like that was the worst time to do it though lmao. Your videos have always been my go-to for information on it and I love seeing all the work you've done setting up a growing community for it. I only wish it were easier to get any card packs, I've only ever found two boosters and two starter decks. Hopefully the tcg scene starts picking up again, I'd love to see my local game stores pick it up and hold events!

Bakugan reboot is depressing to me but your content is always amazing.
I found your channel recently and I got out my old bakugan and was thinking about getting back into it with all the new stuff so I decided to watch more videos. I then remembered a card game I liked when I was young that used 3d cards and that the game you play with them where dum but the cards where cool af. Then watching this video you mentioned them. Redakai. Thank you for helping me solve that mystery. Now I just need to find my cards so I can look at them. They are so cool. They defiantly needed a better game to go along with it.

Favorite thing for me is actually two things. One is the creation of the real life Leonidas bakugan, and the second is the creation of Falcron . Can't wait for the future.
I grew up with the legacy series and had only heard about the reboot as it didn't seem to be available in the country I live in but I still have all of my Bakugan, gate and ability cards.
It's great to hear that the reboot went so well and I hope that it sticks around. Also I'm not sure if it is just me but it seems like Bakugan is getting pushed more in the algorithm.

Honestly, as a fan of the OG series, I'm glad that Bakugan got to see new life thanks to Battle Planet & I hope they can bring back some old fan favorites in the newer style, I'd call them something like Genesis or Prime bakugan or really just anything that sounds cool & shows that they're something of the "old guard" of bakugan, I mean Leonidas finally made a return so why not bring back some of the big names from the OG series, your Skyress & Helios, Tigrera & Percival, just go wild w/ it. That aside I do still have certain problems w/ the new anime but that feels like something that would make a great old vs new style video

Thus far my only bakugan memory is a thoroughly unsuccessful search earlier today after youtube consistently recommended this channel to me-- 3 stores with exactly One geogan between them. Although I just tracked down some starter sets online and decided to Treat Myself so, y'know, New Memories Coming Soon.
I'm more interested in the engineering than the card game, but bakugan melee looks like a fun time and I may just have to give it a try.
Melee is so physical that it really plays with the engineering aspect. It’s designed to do that!

You know what would really be cool, having the legacy Bakugan re-released as fullmetal with metallic repaints, particularly for the first season, kind of like when Skylanders did their Eon’s Elite figures for Spyro’s Adventure, expect without the obnoxious power creep. It would fit well with the metal theming for season 4. The Funko POPs really show how the legacy series is still potentially profitable even during the reboot’s run.

A funny story to share. There was a GameStop event that was happening at one of my local stores during the first year of the reboot. That day, I was working an early shift and things weren't going as expected and I was working late. After work, I was on the edge of whether going or not since having to work late meant I was missing most of the event.
I decided to go regardless hoping to at least find others to meet and play. Not only was I the last person there, I was also the first person there too. The clerk felt bad so he gave me the entire box of promo cards. A nice consolation prize. Here's to a hopeful new baku-year!

I just buy a new geoforge Dragonoid because it's reminded me of my old maxus Dragonid. I haven't play bakugan for more than 10 years but thanks to Jetkuso, maybe I should try to watch the new show and learn how to play the new one despite I don't understand most of the rules he talks in this video.

I'm mostly a TCG player but being stuck up in Washington state I got no one to play with not even my friends play, my local card shop also doesn't support it so I've resorted to mostly playing the gate card variant, not melee as this is my first time learning about it, with a little kid who I got into beyblade and Bakugan after helping his mother with his Nintendo switch, he visited the store I work at, his mom brings him by on my lunches to battle me in beyblade and Bakugan and I give him Bakugan and beyblades as presents and surprises sometimes, for context I just work at a convience store in an electronics department as a clerk.
Can't lie the best memories have to be the Tournament in Fort Worth 👌

I don’t know the plans for season 5 if any right now BUT with evolutions introducing us to a brawler that’s more of a natural at this seasons gimmick than Dan it gives me ideas.
Dans rival has been magnus which always gives me masquerade vibes but I think we can push it more. Season 5 needs to bring back none other than Helios. Once hydranoid joined the team dragos new vestroia rival became Helios. Every time drago evolved Helios was upgraded to match. There was an intense power struggle with two Pyrus dragons and I really like the idea of a new upstart dragonoid on the block. There’s so much potential to just bring Helios back and we can get some biological forms of Helios we never got to have after his cybernetic upgrades.
The 5:05 marker shows how I started out as a meme, but I guess the Lord Cubbo hype comes later, right?
So melee is a thing; I will have to check that out and see if I can find anyone to play that with.
You did ask for my favorite memory of the year was, well, @JettKuso, it would have to be that Lord Cubbo is now a full Deka. Lord Cubbo is a huge fricken Deka. XD
This helps clear up a bit of confusion, for someone buying Bakugan for the first time, recently. Is it still worth buying Bakugan "battle planet" starter packs, or should a person just jump straight to Geogon starter packs?
I wouldn’t bother with older starter packs. I’d say Armored Elite booster packs are the best to get your hands on, but honestly since nothing is in stores just get whatever you can and then adjust your deck over time with TCGPlayer singles. I’d recommend very casual TCG play at this point, since competitive communities are stagnant without new TCG product.

I was an old fan of bakugan like 10 years ago but sadly sold my collection because nobody wanted to play and the game lacked depth and there was bad power and feature creep.
Now I am getting your videos in my recommended list and I see the game has changed into something more interesting. But there are so many products. So my question, what products should I look for to get into bakugan again?
