Though not having a huge population, South East Queensland is the source of more than its fair share of great sports people in various disciplines: golf, tennis, swimming, motor cycle racing, surfing, BMX, etc. Here's another one. He's also excelling in his studies.
gout gout and walaza will be the new nemesis of each other, all in good spirit but man if walaza tightens his running style he will be a freak but i support my mans gout gout, he excellerates through the curves and learns a faster start so he can stay within a few meters of walaza in the 200m he takes him on any straight!! gout gout AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!
That's always a possibility. I think Gout's similar body build helps people to draw comparisons with Bolt, but no one can live up to that expectation. His recent 20.29 200m was a big improvement on his previous PB which suggests he isn't close to levelling off yet. He is going into a US training camp in Florida with Noah Lyles. It'll be interesting to see how that influences his progression. Expert guidance would be hard to find in Australia given that we haven't had any/many top class sprinters, so tapping into the US trainers pool can't do any harm. I think his strength might be 200m and 400m rather than the 100m, but time will tell.
His name is Gout Gout. We as a human race need to make sure we do everything we can to make sure he becomes the goat. Gout Gout the goat. 😂😂😂😂 Get in there you beautiful Aussie bastard!
I was a 16 year old NSW State Champion in the 1960s. My times were 11 secs and 22.4 so I would have finished 8 metres behind in the 100 and 20 metres behind in the 200. How embarrassment! He's a freak and will go very close to Bolts times as he has the same unique body without the upper body strength that will come later and will take him all the way to the top. With that extra power he will make Australia proud. So exciting. Oh and Walaza's running style is terrible, yet he is very quick. Needs a coach to get balance in his running style. Arms are all over the place.
As he is only 16, he will need to build muscles in the next 10 years to be able to compete at the elite level. How he runs with extra weight will determin if he is the next Superstar or not. Gout will make his own legacy, not someone else's. Stop comparing him to someone else.
Really? What kind of weird, woke fantasy land do you live in? You don't want people comparing a 16 year old sportsman to other sportsmen in history? Literally every sport ever created has detailed records of every accomplishment in that sport but you, for some reason, I can only think displaced emotion, think people in sport shouldn't be compared to other people in sport. Even Gout himself would be comparing himself constantly to other runners but you seem to think that is unfair. WTF planet are you even on right now?

What are the chances of a early bloomer though? That happened to a lot of people called "The Future Usain Bolt".
It's always fascinating to see how early talent can shape future champions! The journey of an early bloomer can be quite unique.

hes 16. he can easily train that power within the next few years, i wouldnt be surprised to see him go sub 20 for the 200m in 2025 at just 17.
Why use 1.25 speed though?

Yes he is running fast but to run a time of 9.58sec. not an easy task.
He appears to have extremely bouncy tendons. If he can work on technique and power production as he grows, who knows.
