it was a giant "disco ball" that opened up into something that could probably best described as a glittering metalic jelly fish. Saw it in concert and the memory still leaves me stunned over 35 years later,
Great reaction to this fantastic live performance!! I saw Pink Floyd on this Pulse tour in 1994 at The Alamodome in San Antonio with 47,000 fans! I was on the 18th row on the floor, and it was an experience of a lifetime!!

Your reaction is A+ and it's all embracing like a warm hug. I crumble while you're singing with just your lips moving. This performance is something celestial and David's solo is an absolute masterpiece
I love the moment at 8:13 when she suddenly stops reacting with her choreographed "Ooh baby Imma loving this song" moves and facial expressions and reacted honestly to what she is listening to and viewing.
I know this song since '79 - I was 20 at this time - I always feel the same emotion when listening to it ! Tears are never far, I am so much touched by this guitar solo... That PULSE live version is even better with a very long 2nd solo, David Gilmour took the time to buid it, and your emotion goes higher and higher... as he plugs his guitar directly to your soul.... And i always loved David's warm voice ! Dom, a 62 years old fan from France
I had the privilege of seeing them on this tour, at Three River's Stadium in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. When they opened the second set with "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", I began to silently weep, and did so for the rest of the show, it was so beautiful. I actually wept a bit just now, listening to and watching you reaction.
I was with you, Gregg! 1994 in the old Stadium. I was way up in the nosebleeds, stage left. I didn't weep then, but a few years later, Roger made me cry with his rendition of "Dogs" at Starlake. Good times. Heartbreaking that Syd and Rick are no longer with us.
I had the same reaction! I did start weeping a bit - I was transported back to being there. I was there for two of the twelve nights they played at Earls Court!
To me it was more like the full moon (not the dark side!) that opened up like a flower, as if the sun had shown on it so strongly that it came to life and blossomed.
I saw the Pulse show live in 1994 at the, then, Giants Stadium in New Jersey. The disco ball went just about not noticed until the moment they trained just about every light in the house on it. The whole stadium burst into rotating sparkles, a much more pronounced affect than in the video. Then the ball started opening revealing this one source of very bright light leaving everybody in the audience mesmerized. A moment you never forget.
Your reaction was Awesome, this band when it comes to unique this is a band no body can compare too. Like if somebody says gotta see this band they sound a lot like pink Floyd , I would highly doubt it. In fact it would be an insult. Anyways loved the video .

True, David went back to ancient coliseum of Pompeii in 2016 for a concert with live audience making 1st live concert there since 79AD even though he and his bandmates of Pink Floyd did Echoes Part I and II there in early 70's. This concert is on UA-cam.
This song changed my life and led me to one of my greatest achievements . When I heard that solo I was blown away and I knew I had to learn how to play the guitar 9 years later still going strong with the axe
My best friend and I went to see them on this tour at Texas Stadium in April of '94. When that giant mirror ball came down and the lights hit it and lit up the whole place... WOW. We'd never seen anything like that, ever. I've seen lots of amazing concerts over the years, but that moment is burned into my brain. So super thankful to have gotten to see them since that was their last big tour.
Interesting fact: At the end of this show at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, on my way to the parking lot, I passed behind the stadium and there were four trailers equipped with huge industrial generators. I spoke with a member of the staff, who told me that these generators were needed to provide enough electricity for the show, that the stadium could not meet this huge demand.

Beautiful choice of music. You have a very good test of music, anyone who loves music will admit. Wish you all the best wishes may all your wishes come true, may you always be charming and joyful.
The pinnacle for PF fans! I traveled all over the West Coast of the US, and even a few times in Canada. Saw them over a dozen times. When I was in the Navy I would listen to them before every mission, no matter where we were in the world. They were a comfort to me in very difficult times. Never failed me. I’m still alive by the grace of God, and will be a fan for life.
As great as you are to look at.. I had to close my eyes during the second solo, Dave nails it every time, I have a tear running down my cheek now but only out of one eye.. weird.. nobody touches my soul like Dave.. & I’m 70, love you reactions 👍🏼
The other thing about this long solo is that there are points during the solo where you think he's about to wrap it up, but he doesn't, so there's a good tease going on. It drags you into thinking, "no, it can't be over yet"!
I was fortunate enough to see The Wall tour in Los Angeles back in 1979. I can tell you, that was the best concert I have ever seen. It was truly one for the ages.
You're wonderful! Please watch it again on your own so you can see what you missed when your eyes were closed. The PULSE tour had the most spectacular staging and lightshow in 1994, and still ranks up there with one of the all time greatest stage productions!
That is my favorite version of my favorite song. What could be better than watching the emotional cords play across the face of a beautiful young woman? Its the perfect accompaniment, food for my soul.
I'd pretty much got the studio release of The Wall on a loop in my brain. So I was just bopping along to this. And then... Just a little pinprick - no more AAAAAAAAAAH and I was blown away. Then that solo. And I think people massively overlook the epic drum breaks thoughout. In a parallel universe he's still playing and people just see to his physical needs in shifts.
I always been a pink floyd fan, but the first time I came across the Pulse Album I was on LSD. I think I watched the whole concert 3 times that day, and comfortably numb, sorrow, and high hopes a couple times more. I wish I was around for that age of perfected music.
I'm very glad you reacted to this song. This is one of my favourite songs and it's very sad that i will never be able to see it live performed by them, just because I'm 27. Happy you liked it, the ending solo gives me goosebumps everytime
@@antonylacroix6475 Wacken was so epic the atmosphere was unbelievable..... so exciting everyone was hyper in the crowd and the sound and visuals were amazing.
One tip about Pink Floyd is that when you hear a change in the music and want to close your eyes, don't look away. That's when you get the big lighting effects.
Great reaction. I can listen to this multiple times a day. Never can get enough. The ball in the middle was a mirrored ball like those seen in clubs in the 70s. It reflected and scattered the light in the entire arena. High Hopes please. Stay safe. Much love from Texas.
Dave Gilmour 1 of the most underated guitarists of all time, he's up there with Jimi, Eric, Jimmy, Pete, Eddie and not forgetting all the blues guitarists that they emulated
That in the middle was (and might still be) the world record largest disco ball....Pink Floyd has held a few records and several "Firsts" in music history....
Nth hand information here, so take it for whatever it's worth. The giant circle of lights above the stage is an eye. The disco ball is "it." "It" opens up and "disappears," just before the eye turns upright to "look.". All that to illustrate one line of lyrics from one song. "I turned to look, but it was gone."
Normally the mirror ball is above the screen on the stage. And it opens like a flower. Here it was suspended. I was seated just to the left of the mixing desk; so immediately under the ball There was a black curtain covering the ball from the majority of the audience so it wasnt until it was lit up that they knew it was there. Working in London Ive been lucky to see everyone from the Stones, Who, Floyd, Queen, right through to White Stripes and Oasis. During the period Momentary Lapse of Reason to Division Bell was lucky enough to see them at London Docklands twice, Wembley Stadium, and Earls Court six times. This is the best concert Ive ever attended.
Your expression at the blooming stage of the disco ball was epic! That ball in my humble interpretation represents the light shooting out from the music. Bright crisp and beautiful. The blooming stage of the ball represents comprehension absorption. Then the extension as the solo wraps up is like a spaceship of ascension. "You like this? Come up for take off! Lets GO!" All my life. Every car stereo. Every headphones. Every cell phone. I have heard this song played. For this fan. Never gets old. First heard on the Wall on cassette I thought it was SICK! It blew my mind. Then saw it on Delicate Sound of Thunder vhs concert film, then waited for the Pulse tour by which time I was in the navy out at sea while they toured near my home station. But then this...Pulse came out. Mind. Blown. All. Over. Again. Thank you Floyd for the music and many, MANY, memories!
I was at the 2nd British Rock Festival in 1972, It was held on an island in the middle of the Rhine River in Germersheim, Germany. 3 Days. Pink Floyd, Atomic Rooster, Buddy Miles, Country Joe, Doors, Faces, Rory Gallagher, Humble Pie, Kinks, New Riders, Savoy Brown, Uriah Heep, Wishbone Ash - That's all I can remember but there were many more.
The thing in the middle over the crowd started as a massive mirrored disco ball, slammed with pin spots to throw all of those wonderful facets of light around the whole arena. Then it kind of blooms into a flower of some sort. Just another part of an incredible show on the scale needed to support this caliber of music.
“There is no pain , you are receding” I got into a big fight at school over that line. The other party insisted it was “there is no pain you are receiving “.
I worked on this tour in 1994. 55 trucks 600 people to build the stage.

Beautiful choice of music. You have a very good test of music, anyone who loves music will admit. Wish you all the best wishes may all your wishes come true, may you always be charming and joyful.
Thank you.:)

Saw Floyd a couple of times...best shows ever...🤘. Thank you for enjoying the great music I grew up on...you are awesome 🤩
As great as you are to look at.. I had to close my eyes during the second solo, Dave nails it every time, I have a tear running down my cheek now but only out of one eye.. weird.. nobody touches my soul like Dave.. & I’m 70, love you reactions 👍🏼
That's how Pink Floyd made it to the top. They carved out their own universe of sound and mood. 'Meddle' is an album that would knock your socks off!
Thank you.:)

This is an all time epic, and it will still be playing 100 years from now.
listen on UA-cam at SATANISTS hearing pink floyd thanks
I always been a pink floyd fan, but the first time I came across the Pulse Album I was on LSD. I think I watched the whole concert 3 times that day, and comfortably numb, sorrow, and high hopes a couple times more. I wish I was around for that age of perfected music.
I'm very glad you reacted to this song. This is one of my favourite songs and it's very sad that i will never be able to see it live performed by them, just because I'm 27. Happy you liked it, the ending solo gives me goosebumps everytime
Thank you😊
Now this girl knows good music!! love your reactions to the song.. Killer song.
Saw them twice in London on this tour, best gig I've ever been to ...
WOOW, that's so cool.:)
Yes it was an epic show possibly the best performance by them. But I have to admit it was not as epic as Nightwish at Wacken 2013 that was sooo good.
I first saw them on a wonderful summer day in 1970 in Hyde Park. Gilmore looked slightly different then ....as we all did.
@@bleaksnatcher saw Floyd twice the Wall 1979 and 1980 tours london , but I’d swap one of them with you for Nightwish and Floor Wacken 2013 !
Thank you so much😊
Thanks loved hanging with ya I know right Pink Floyd great song great band thanks again that was a home run ❤
Love your reviews, keep making more videos
Dave Gilmour 1 of the most underated guitarists of all time, he's up there with Jimi, Eric, Jimmy, Pete, Eddie and not forgetting all the blues guitarists that they emulated
Don’t forget Sir Alex Lifson
Under rated??? What planet have you been on for the last 50 years?!!
If you want a trip down guitar history lane, look up Sister Rosetta Tharpe.
If Gilmour is underrated then I'm a lemon:)
Don’t forget Alexlifson
The Beatles took music to new heights. Floyd kicked it into the stratosphere.
David Gilmour's guitar doesn't speak, it emotes. It exudes pure emotion that you feel in the deepest depths of your soul.
Yes. It spiritualizes.
That in the middle was (and might still be) the world record largest disco ball....Pink Floyd has held a few records and several "Firsts" in music history....
Love your reaction and passion for the music. You have a new subscriber. Cheers from the UK.
Watch the closing song Run Like Hell EPIC.
I will try to do my best. Thank you for your suggestion.😊
@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusic - Yep, definitely do 'Run Like Hell' from the same Pulse concert. It's incredible! :)
I was there in chantilly near Paris on july 1994 to see this concert never forget !!!
I'm fortunate enough to have seen them twice. There's NOTHING like a stadium concert and being there. Pink Floyd is TOP NOTCH,,,👍👍👍😎
Thank you so much for explaining. Appreciate it😊
Your expression at the blooming stage of the disco ball was epic!
Thank you.:)
These videos are loads of fun. I especially love it that you FINALLY enjoyed a guitar solo! Best regards!
Yeah, I loved it. :) Thank you so much.:)
I am a old , but still love great music like this . Keep going ,👍
Thank you.:) I will.:)
Unbelievable performance !! and looking at a beautiful young woman made it for me xxx
The thing in the middle over the crowd started as a massive mirrored disco ball, slammed with pin spots to throw all of those wonderful facets of light around the whole arena. Then it kind of blooms into a flower of some sort. Just another part of an incredible show on the scale needed to support this caliber of music.
The flower was an orchid, which in The Wall film symbolises rebirth.
What was inside the mirrored ball? I'm guessing it was a lighthouse beacon guiding "the distant ship on the horizon"...
“There is no pain , you are receding”
I got into a big fight at school over that line.
The other party insisted it was “there is no pain you are receiving “.

This song don't need any words.
Listen to and just enjoying the music👏🕯️
Exactly!☺️
I'm in my 50s now, and have been to many many concerts, but this show at Earls Court will forever be the greatest I've been to 👌❤️
