Im so glad I grew up in Orlando back in the rave days....such a great time. Kids these days will never know what it was like....so much love and peace between us all....and the best music ever.
Orlando Breaks, amongst my favorite Genres in Techno. Simons in Gainesville used to be my spot! I'm sure I had much more fun than I can remember. The scene was about Music, Love, Dance and Hugs. I vaguely remember a smoke shop called "Knuckleheads" that delivered Nitrous in a Firetruck, 24/7.
It was such a different time back then, before the internet and smartphones. Not saying I wish I could go back but I'm glad I was there to participate in the realness of Florida's underground music culture of the early to mid 90's when it actually meant something and you didn't have to pay $600 for a three day pass to some electric flower festival only see a bunch of watered down mediocre performers play to a bunch of wealthy hipster kids high on hubris, dirty smack rolls and prescription pain meds. A couple of microdots or mushrooms and some krypto were all we needed back then, but the music, message and scene was much better. Real #PLUR
+Risk Records I'm glad that I'm not the only one that feels that way. I haven't been to one of those events, because it feels too publicized for me. Every one and while, I'll go to a small venue and see someone to get my vibe back.
This song is a journey, it's so special, so unique, it's glorious and you simply CAN'T get something like this nowadays. This is way too priceless to be repeated. This era was Gold. Gold.
I had the pleasure of seeing RABBIT IN THE MOON many times over the course of my life and it never felt like a repeat of the last time. The last time I saw them in CHARLOTTE, NC 2007, bunny had on that swamp man costume with the giant arms and we had a short twitch off on the dance floor, I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT! PLUR
I wouldn't change a word of what u said perfect never in a million years will we ever see music that will take your soul on a journey the way this does.
This almost brings sadness for me. I wish I could have stayed in some of the moments of the scene forever. But unfortunately, we all grew older and moved on. The memories of those raves and those friends will remain in this song forever.
I was there and the scene was amazing I traveled from Charlotte North Carolina New York City Virginia DC Florida California this song is very special -many of my friends have died… At 51 I still have great memories
when i first heard this song i was rolling my ass off at THE EDGE before ZEN FEST in fort lauderdale fla. before parties were called "raves" rolls were called beans and the vibe was of music and freedom of youthful expression- GOD I MISS THOES DAYS
I heard them for the first time back in 1996. I have seen them 5 or 6 times @ parties. They never disappointed me. My boyfriend back then is still is a D.J. to this day(he is also an audio engineer). He had 4 technic 1200 turntables!!!! . Man I had fun when I was a kid. He DJ's still in the Orlando scene. He gets everything ready for the "new school" kids to have a great time @ EDC, Winter music conference... He would slow down the speed on "out of body experience". It's the TITS.
The KING of Emotional Trance. This track is not only a standard, but a classic. Rabbit in the Moon is by far one of the most talented electronic artists of our time. This track is not defined to a single genre, you hear epic trance along with the break's of a natural sound and rhythm. THIS track defined a generation.
Northern Exposure, One of my all time favourite albums. Pure master class that will never be repeated. This tune defines music of this generation .....Simply perfect in every way.
Man let me tell you, all these young kids dont know wtf techno music is, this is what us adults were listening to back when there were real X pills.. Tripple stacked Rolls Royce, Mitsubishi's, the acid was so intense with the red gel tabs and the best visuals were from the black gel tabs, when you had to give a light show with glow sticks. Practicing for hours to get the liquid look just right so you can show off at the next party, and if you were really good you'd get the red bicycle lights with the multi function lights..ahhh..good times
SPOT ON!!!! Kids today just have no idea what they missed back then. Lol. It was the time of our lives!! Liquid and break dancing are still the best skillz hands down and you just don't see that too often these days. You see a bunch of shufflin 😂
It’s 6 am...2021....still feels just as good today as it ever did. Florida was IT! Glad I got to visit that state for some amazing parties in the early 90’s. Great peeps of Florida!❤️❤️❤️❤️
If I haven't already , thank you 10 fold for sharing this beautiful peace of audio ear massage , peace and remember every time you hear this know that you helped someone else feel human...
Cyberzone came way later like years after the edge closed, back in the day of J.J Wispers presents Cloud 9, .08 secounds when it was the Edge and not painted like a cow.
I remember listening to this song during a flight and looking out the airplane window and the sun was coming out over Osaka Bay, such a magical moment for me as a 15 year old. Everytime I hear this song I always go back to that moment on the airplane, ugh now I want to go back to Japan lol.
damn back then the music was so magical, and pure that we were hopeful and we thought we would be abe to change the world, LOL, that was a very special place in time, the 90s were definitely amazing, fantasy Ranch, boat yard Village, masquerade, Stateside Collective still on top baby! reppin Tampa/Miami
OMG Yes!!!!!!!!!!! Such a magical time!! I always try to tell my husband what it was like to be a part of the Tampa/FL Rave scene and how magical it was... but unless you were there... Unless you experience it... You just wouldnt be able to understand. Florida had one of the best rave scenes in the world. I've been to raves everywhere.... all up and down the coast, from warehouses, to clubs, on the beach, under an overpass in Brooklyn....but NOTHING could compare to the days when I was a Club Kid dancing on top of those Podiums at Masquerade... Or going to Fantasy Ranch, or literally driving to Simon's in Gainesville just for the night to see Plastikman play... or driving down to Miami for the night for a party, and then driving straight back home afterwards!!! Or WMC back then!! Oh my god...WMC back in the 90's or the very first Ultra Beach party... I could go on and on and on! It all seems like it was another lifetime ago...
Katherine Wicka I missed that bus, but I can tell you here in Ohio we had a good break/electro scene in the 90s it was fucking epic, and this track, ugh my soul
I am glad I was able to bring good feelings, and CLEAN E to the parties back then. The Edge, Zen, Ushaya, The Original Candyland, Diamantes. Best times of my life. 1993 at the Edge in Ft. Laud.
+Rick Ruggles yea some old school shi but was only good at those loc til the owners started working with the cops to get the drugs out of their clubs. were ok 2 am clubs but Cyberzone and the few hole in the walls on the coast where what got me thru to dawn.
+yuenglingking yea they grabbed me one night with a handful of dovies but I tossed them into the air they were gone before they hit the floor!!! lol But, in my opinion Marzz was the best coast club in florida
I'm so glad I kept all my rave flyers from this era. Maybe one day they'll be worthy of scanning. Zen festival got me started on these guys. Florida breaks lives on despite Glenda Hood murdering it.
This brings back some of my best memories when I lived in Florida when I was younger. No DJ has ever been able to come close to this feeling!!! 🐇+🌛=XTC!!!
Urbal Beats: Definitive Guide To Electronic Music Track #5 That's the first time I heard this back in 1998. Twenty years later it still releases that serotonin feeling.
U never feel music truly feel it in your whole body if u never heard this track loud, live in a dark club as loud as it gets feeling that bass hit ur chest while trolling in the smoke machine surrounded by ur friends...God just one more night id live to go bk to those days...for just one night
Ahhhh this songs brings back so many fun and amazing memories that you just can't replicate today. It was fun traveling to new orleans, memphis, houston and jackson, mississippi to the some of the best raves I've ever experienced. MISS YOU 90s!!!!
A Rocha If anyone here is good with electronic music, there was an EPIC, AMAZING remix on a uk single import of Bjork remixes called BYPERBALLAD. Now, before you tell me nothing with that name exists, it did, and it's not a typo. I physically owned the ep. Lost it years ago, and it seems to have been wiped from existence since then. I would literally pay $20 just to have that song again in mp4. I know Bjork has an awful temper, and is notorious for legally shutting down any unauthorized works. The ep album cover was white with her face and bubbles. There were two of them, very similar. One had eyes open, the other closed. I forget which, but the one you CAN'T find anywhere with Byperballad was on the other one.
i love bjork and would love to have a copy of that!!!! i believe you, I have a friend who may know something ill keep a look out for it. what kind of remix is it?
A Rocha It was EPIC, just beautiful and hands down the best Bjork any song remix I've ever heard. It gave me chills every time, and I'm not the type to relisten to the same song over and over.. but that was just amazing. It was a beautiful very string instrument with a lot of electronic ambient symphonic elements. There were like only 4 or 6 songs on the ep, and it looked just like the white background bubble face, but with different eyes. I remember it was from the UK and I had it almost 12 years ago. If you can find that in existence anywhere, even as someone's private mp3, you're amazing. I've been looking for years since I lost it, and have only met one other human being who knew it and used to have it but doesn't anymore. Byperballad. UK ep. This MIGHT be it, please help me try to contact this video uploader! I found someone mention it in the comments, but I can only hear a few seconds of it in the video and it's been years. I'm not sure if it's the Byper- or just another Hyper remix.
Freshbrood Can't find any mention of byperballad but can find lots of mixes linked to open eyed cover. www.musicstack.com/album/bjork/hyperballad seems to have lots of versions maybe its buried in there. www.discogs.com/artist/1373-Björk?type=Releases&subtype=Singles-EP as well. I am interested to hear different mixes as this is one of my all time faves and love to hear different takes of it.
Nothing now days can hold a candle to anything from Orlando Breaks days, My favorite because I worked there for ever was Cyberzone, Fluid, Firestone, UV you and Sol-Rays and 600 North in Daytona Beach and the pleasure dome and masquerade in Tampa man what a time to be alive in those years....
Did you ever go to The Abyss in Orlando? Whew man, that was the best club I've ever been to. D-Extreme and Stylus would take you on journey every damn weekend. For me, nothing will ever top that club.
I never heard this song until my friend turned me on to it in 2008. I later on found him dead from a heroin overdose. This song is a mix of nostalgia intertwined with sadness for me. RIP John 😢
Long time listener and first time poster. I grew up in the Atlanta underground raves during early 90s to mid 2000s, and continue to party from time-to-time till this day, however, I will never forgot my first 5k rave with RITM in Florida. PLUR, ccave
I first heard this song on Urbal Beats when I was 14 and I remember it being the absolute best thing ever. Now that I am listening to it 13 years later, it is still the absolute best thing ever. This song alone got me into the rave scene and even Tori Amos a little bit. I eventually saw Rabbit in the Moon at Red Rocks and it was amazing. Thanks for posting this, it brings back so many good memories.
Man I've been looking everywhere for this song! How I've missed listening to this beautiful masterpiece! It really takes me back to when music really helped make the mind, body and soul soar!
I'm so glad that I was a part of Hypersonic and Liquified. Hanging with Dave and the Steves was a blast in NC and ATL. Water fights in Nomenclature and hanging in ATL's little 5 was a magical time.
I saw Rabbit in the Moon on June 7, 1994 in Florida...the beans and the musik went together like ice and cream...This song, I looked up after 16 years because it was one that stuck in my mind from all those years ago...I wanted to see if it carried through time well...the vocals are killer but to see them perform was even more killer.
Thank you State SIde for your contributions to the seen, I always thought the Florida DnB/Jungle D.Js were world class. I remember one of the last Ultras I went to befor I left florida the Most of the State Side crew did better sets then half the Drum and Bass Arena. We used to work alot with D.J soul (Kevin) and a few other sound system folks and we knew alot of you guys. I heard Trixie (Anna) died a few years back was a wounderful person hope it not true. I know Im probly never going to get a responce being as the post i am writing to is over 5 years old, but the Early 90s to early 2000s were a magical time to be in the Florida seen. From the first zen to blood on the tables, from the origainl Edge oin Orlando to the pleaser dome in Tampa, Miss those times and from the D.Js to the fans I miss you all and hope the last 20/30 years has brought you all smiles and love.
I first heard this song on Urbal Beats as well circa 1998, although this song was realeased in 93'. After almost 20 years it still moves people. A great classic in my books, next to other same 90's era electronic music like Sasha-Xpander, Digweed-bed rock, Binary Finary-99. All master pieces in their own right. Like Whalesex says on the video comments, brings back so many memories of some of the best good times in my life period!!! Cheers!!!!
The firs time I heard this was at the Hardkiss Record Release party for their LP, Delusions of Grandeur. Rabbit in the Moon was there to perform it, live. It was fucking great. That reality was so much better than this. No one even knew that MDMA could not be pure.
This used to be one of the best tracks to give a full body massage to while eating some Mitsubishi’s. Gone are the days of that kinda party…now you gotta worry about shit like fentynal being in EVERYTHING
I remember the first time I saw bunny hit his mask with the grinder at evolutions in ybor before they were really r.i.t.m. I was wrecked and didnt know wtf.
Those first notes hit and 😍 Memories I'll cherish forever. Dancing so hard, loving so hard, being swept away by the music. Going through it and blowing up. Fealt like I had a thousand good friends. Because I did💜
Saw rabbit in the moon at a rave at the maritime hall in SF. Digital underground played there too. This song brings back so many memories!! Such good times, such good E back then. Damn I miss those times
memories..I remember going to electric daisy carnival in Austin TX 2001 seeing rabbit in the moon AK 1200, Charles feelgood ,Kimball Collins, green velvet etc the list goes on
I used to goto raves all the time, years ago..i miss it..also,theres alot of music from the present day that i really like, but none that blows my mind like the old school sh$#
hola felous,i feel glad that I grow collecticting all the kind of music but this one especialy Americas 90 underground music was my favorite musice scene peace and love 2 all u x heads
once again, ritm has completely outdone itself. this song ties for first with god within...i would like to find a super chilled out venue to groove in, and id like this song to be included....i miss dancing...
Not really. Seems like all the DJ mixes these days are uploaded to Soundcloud. There are DJ mixes that get released on Beatport and Traxsource as well though.
Truly a sick track ,magical time & beautiful sample / Collab w/ Tori. The breakbeat drop hits mark even to this day. Mad respect to this creative masterpiece within the genre!! 😎
Im so glad I grew up in Orlando back in the rave days....such a great time. Kids these days will never know what it was like....so much love and peace between us all....and the best music ever.
the rave scene is still going strong, and the ecstasy is still flowing. fear not my man.
Okay boomer
AK1200 florida style as well. Good times and great music. Respect sunshine state. Sunshine in a bag

Kind of like bt flaming June. That song took you all over the cosmos
PLUR
Can we keep trying? Can we keep pushing?
Past our tears
Beyond our fears
Can we see
A sea beyond
me.
Yes! Well said.
Most will never know. Enjoy those memories and just know.
I was there and the scene was amazing I traveled from Charlotte North Carolina New York City Virginia DC Florida California this song is very special -many of my friends have died… At 51 I still have great memories

nikkicanada69 Agreed, and feel like it's such a multi-faceted experience that I won't be able to explain it to most people or my daughter.
My jaws are clenching a little tight at the moment of this beautiful memory. Lol.

I grew up in the Atlanta underground raves during early 90s to mid 2000s, and continue to party from time-to-time till this day, however, I will never forgot my first 5k rave with RITM in Florida.
PLUR,

1996. Worked at a DJ shop slinging vinyl. Found the double-cd Hardkiss album. Listened on repeat until 2004.

Firestone Orlando 93 ... live RITM set. 100% pure bliss. ;)
Chris Moger yep!
I was there... it was AMAZING!
Just came from watching @dj 3:59 Icey
This song oozes raw sexuality
God I miss enchanting music like this
God I love when songs can transport you back like this
Man I've been looking everywhere for this song!
Rabbit has been and will always be one of the best ever.
Rabbit in the 🌙 you had to be there, almost out of body experience. Epic music on another level..
I still have my RITM custom candle purchased way back when in Jacksonville.
I spoke with other beings from other realms listening to this song .
Took 8 beans in New Orleans at State Palace Theater. Was the bed time of my life. Lol
Yes!!!! K WIcka State Side Member here.... Good time,s !!! JUNGLE CREW!! Love this tune!!!
Cheers!!!!
I saw Rabbit in the Moon at ZuLoo in new Orleans in the 90's. WOW!!
That’s where I seen them. I was tore up from the floor up
Me to
Ya the N.O shows at the state palace were something else.
Best live act Rabbit is incredible
The firs time I heard this was at the Hardkiss Record Release party for their LP, Delusions of Grandeur. Rabbit in the Moon was there to perform it, live. It was fucking great. That reality was so much better than this.
No one even knew that MDMA could not be pure.
My friend introduced me to this song and we used to listen to it with the bass turned up really loud. LOL Fun times to be had by all.
This used to be one of the best tracks to give a full body massage to while eating some Mitsubishi’s. Gone are the days of that kinda party…now you gotta worry about shit like fentynal being in EVERYTHING
Yes! Exactly
Love this record!! So many good times!

State Palace was another world! Best times ever!!
Because I did💜
Brings me back to the early 90s & to the 1st Ultra where they performed live🥰🥰🥰

Remembering Northern Exposure... Sasha and Digweed. Does anyone make mix albums like that any more?
Not really. Seems like all the DJ mixes these days are uploaded to Soundcloud. There are DJ mixes that get released on Beatport and Traxsource as well though.
Amazing creative beats and Tori Amos samples. Dark and majestic.
I bought 2 vinyl copies when this came out, one is still in plastic......best thing ever....
Smart man
Rep, Urbal Beats ! I had that CD back in the Day
I never imagined back then I’d be listening to this song while waiting to go see a RITM Dj set 30 years later…. How did the time pass so quickly?
this has brought me close to tears, so many memories. Thanks.
Timeless!❤
At the Red Jacket in 99 in Dallas RITM and Keoki. What a classic bill!
I've been trying for years to find this song. I didn't know the title. Only that it was a Rabbit in the Moon song. Thank you!!
Wasn't even born when this came out, but I enjoyed this on Northern Exposure.

Dance music is just not the journey and experience it used to be. I miss these times. I hear the newer stuff and it makes me sad.
Some of the new trance stuff is cool... but it is more about the beat and the voice.
This is my favorite song ever!
Best Tori Amos mix.
Truly a sick track ,magical time & beautiful sample / Collab w/ Tori. The breakbeat drop hits mark even to this day. Mad respect to this creative masterpiece within the genre!! 😎
