Hell Yeah... I will never forget the late 80's and early 90's going to epic parties.. fun, love, and good times. At almost 50 I appreciate this music greatly, I wish they had a Sirius channel dedicated to old school beats!
@@unkorichie2029It located downtown @100 W Livingston St. It’s gone through some changes and most recently went by the Ace Cafe. Where they held some old school events that I’ve attended, but nothing like the Edge Vibe. Even Firestone which is now called Vanguard has a different vibe. Ive been apart of the vibe/scene since 90’ and was at the Edge from start when it was a country club changing over to Edge and most events...till the last amazing night. It was special..Amazing Times! (Side note) Some of the old friends /school ravers from Otown now live LA. They told me they went to an Icey show a few years back and some people didn’t even realize how important to the scene he was and is. Plus he was killing it on the tables. So their group starting dancing and going off in dance and they were like woah. I mean he is DJ Icey… I remember DJ Icee 😁🙌🏾
From Bassbin Twins Vol 1. Track A2 covers a lot of ground. The track mainly centers around the Public Enemy - Rebel Without A Pause (Vocal Mix) beat (also used in Madonna - Justify My Love (William Orbit Remix)). The track gets hop'n by using multiple samples from Jungle Brothers - I'll House You track. About midway through the track takes a left turn and goes for atmospheric keyboard and vocal samples building to the break. The break is of course massive with the sample Nina Simone - Here Comes The Sun. This is all still riding over the Public Enemy beat and then comes the famous Disco 3 - Human Beatbox (Brrrr Stick Em' Ha Ha Ha Stick Em') sample just for good measure. Love Peace & Unity. :)
Alb-E was a good friend and inspiration to many of us who came up in Boston circa 1992-1993 and one of the few people who was willing to take the time to show me how he was doing this or that on the decks. Could be while setting up before a party (building a jump-proof deck stack made of "borrowed" cinder blocks to form a table so when 2000 people all started jumping in that crappy 3rd floor warehouse the needle never once skipped even when the floor was about to cave in!) or in a basement apartment/studio (Cambridge, Alston, Brookline, Waltham, Watertown & Framingham Rep!). He was taken too early and always be missed, not just for his skills but because of his genuine kindness and love for others....RIP...//CrackSlab Patron 'btc'//
Was listening to Central Fire when this popped up in my search and I said, "WHAT? I thought I'd NEVER find this one!" Thank you SO much. So many memories...
I can't find the mix they did in New Orleans in the mid 90's. It friggin blew my mind. after a few songs it mixed into Prince "when doves fly" then a little while later that one Rob Base song, then "here comes the sun" by the Beatles. All those songs were out of place at a rave but damn they made it work. I had Paul and is partner in my car a few years later and my wife started reciting there set, they were amazed. They drew us a little BassBin character. Coolest doods.
Chris Adkins I probably have that lying around somewhere unless I destroyed it some how... It was a single cd in paper sleeve I would have to ask for permission before I shared though cause this mentality of free music is why there is no more techno/edm like there used to be
we would break out in som serious breakdancin when trax like this would come on at what ever party we were at in SF in Early 90's Shit was so Bangin intense i had to retire in late 96
Saddest part was he really didn't party much when it to popping presses and I never once saw him do any other substance. Happened to be one of those super dopey Dove presses from Philly that were around....There was a good .4 of straight H in those....
The first time I heard this was probably around 8:27 n tha morning sitting along the St.Johns river in Jacksonville Florida in Riverside blowing up like like fuck in 1997 or 1998 with a whole bunch of ppl from Club 5 and I remember this cause I was like aww hell yeah the Beatles.....
brett tran pretty sure bass in twins is two people... Hence twins I used to see them play at least once a year in the most intresting spot... Pimpdaddyland XD... Maybe it's one person now idk I saw two guys on the controllers
The music ( bass bin twins ) underground breaks ... this is very rare and one of the 1st tracks. i find it odd that you would say something like ... " i like gay women " ... Marci how old are you ? are you kidding me ... when the rest of the world is falling i will be the one taking care of direct zadok data from FATHER and you write this crap on my post ... thanks
DJ ZADOK I am 50 today actually I was curious to see that posted. Sorry to offend I just thought it was strange. That is why I asked. Have a great day.
58YO. Still bumping this. I literally am looking at my own Goose Bumps.

Remember Icey rocking this at Edge in Orlando, circa early 90s....
Hey, do you remember where Edge was located? I was an L.A. raver who spent a few months in Orlando in late 91, and I went to some incredible clubs.

Thank you so much for sharing !!! It made 5 years I haven't heard it !!
Its so great to hear this again after so many years. Its like magic.
Yes it is a small world!! I partied in the mid to late 90's all over the northeast. The scene was so awesome back then.
I remember DJ Albee, and I had the same mix tape. I wouldn't be surprised if we partied together back in the day. This was the anthem for a long time.

Same in Florida. I always loved this track, nina Simone, Jungle Brothers and Public Enemy samples. Who'd a thought...
Yep. Frank Nitty was my favorite
still gives me chills...
Dear God it's was a real pleassure to dancing and be high with BB music !!
Great track, took awhile to find this. I had this on a DJ Albee mix tape. He was a young DJ from Boston in the 90's that overdosed :(
Saddest part was he really didn't party much when it to popping presses and I never once saw him do any other substance. Happened to be one of those super dopey Dove presses from Philly that were around....There was a good .4 of straight H in those....
This is the real deal.
Quality tune... 1luv 😎..

Agreed. Although I am not moving again for a LONG damn time...30,000+ is a heavy lot of vinyl to move...
Eh? That's his name, or Pete Houser.
The OP was saying that it was a typical 8am track at the club Edge in FTL, not that Basebin Twins was from Fl.
