if you understand the circles this woman was active in you kinda start to get it all.. This lady was considered club royalty in that whole 70s, 80s NYC east village club scene that spawned a ton of art. Music, film, paint etc.
I still have the VHS copy in great condition. Steer me to a place where I can get a quality DVD transfer (no questions asked) and you will no longer need to beg.
THANK YOU for posting this! As far as I know, this was only released on VHS. Ann Magnuson was SO cool in this! The music video parody was the best part.
Found my copy on eBay (cost a small fortune), but have since lost it due to various moves of location. Amazon has a few copies available starting at $67 going up to a "new" copy for $170. As I told you, the tape isn't cheap.
on 6-15-2014 I bought a used vhs copy for $50. Outrageous price for a poor quality tape with a 43 minute run time. I've wanted it for years and i'm pretty sure they had at least one more copy.
It amused me to no end that, long ago, when I first saw it, that talking object seemed like vase-shaped children's show character with a design inspiration from some kind of psychedelic trip, and I "understood" that it was a talking vase that spoke like an Elvis impersonator. Now I'm endlessly amused after I saw it this time, which is only the second time in my life. This time, it seemed exactly as though the cartoon character named Johnny Bravo had been turned into something that looked like a living _bong_ character from Pee-Wee's Playhouse would look. With my adult understanding, I know for the first time that it was a bong that was speaking like an Elvis Impersonator. He must have been giving her advice because she is high &/or a little manic and imagining the whole interaction, like an externalised personification of her thoughts that were inspired after smoking with it, or having become accustomed to interacting with it since long ago. The magical realism was always a wonderful part of this Cinemax special, but now I enjoy this even more.
This s*** is cream of the crop metal I don't even like metal and I like this s*** Vulcan death grip f****** amazing and the girl that singing is actually AN ACTRESS IN THE NEW STAR TREK PICARD 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
1987 is a typo. The Grip began in 1984, before Spinal Tap. I should know - I'm K-Zar!
holy shit, it's Admiral Kirsten Clancy from Picard!

Does anyone know if there are any other Vandemonium clips online? I have looked everywhere for a VHS copy but it's impossible to find.

I wonder if Walmart would transfer my VHS copy to DVD. Hmmm...
we pulled her wig off in 85...seriously...
Funniest woman on earth
Actual 80s hair bands are much funnier. Just watch Decline of Western Civilization: The Metal Years.
Mother of God... Worst thing I've heard/seen in a very long time.
Noah Ortega Hahahahahahahahahahahahohohohohoho
