This is one of the biggest issues with dynasty draft content from January - March. They will hammer videos about rankings but then completely switch up when the nfl combine and draft happen!
Sad cause I’ve had him high since the middle of college season and thought I could snag him rounds 2 or 3 come rookie drafts. Guess everyone is finally seeing it
@ the combine and draft capital will effect everything. If he kills the combine and gets drafted mid round 2 or earlier he’ll likely be a top 12 pick in rookie drafts
As a die-hard Texas fan that was at 13/16 of their games, I will say that Bond had an high ankle sprain basically the entire season. In the CFP he was a decoy at best. My end of season analysis is that he is a bit of a diva and didn’t seem to work the team well. But I could be totally off there. His acceleration and speed might be as good as worthy, but you guys are correct: his lack of production is concerning. Y’all need to look out for Matthew Golden! I think Golden will be a 2nd rounder!
the way you described egbuka reminds me of how everyone described BTJ last year. he is used to playing as a WR2 and might end up being the wr1 on the team he lands on
They will do another video probably later in the off-season comparing them to non-rookies. Obviously you would take pretty much any of the top three or four receivers from last year’s class over any from this year.
I feel like this WR class is a lot deeper than most people think. It’s not the 2024, but there’s definitely going to be some productive receivers in this class that aren’t S/A tier prospects.
That’s this entire class in my opinion. Outside of Jeanty, you don’t have those absolute slam dunk picks in years’ past, but man, the more you look into it, I think it’s deeper as a whole than years’ past. We were spoiled by last year’s WR class that anything less than that is disappointing. There’s a ton of guys in the 10-30 range who can come in and immediately contribute. I’m actually stacking up on 2nd round picks this year in all my rebuilds. This is a type of deep class that can immediately jump start a rebuild if you hit on a few.
Jaylin Noel is pronounced like the first name and not like the Christmas song. He probably won’t be a reliable fantasy option but I think he’ll provide a ton of real life value to an NFL team so you should be excited if your favorite team picks him up. I’m an ISU season ticket holder and look forward to watching both him and Higgins play on Sundays!
ISU season ticket holder as well. Haven't missed a game in 6 years. They clearly didn't watch Noel, he is not boom/bust at all. Guy does everything and I'd say mostly works the intermediate routes other than a couple shot plays each game. Quick hitters and balls over the middle.
Thanks for the video. Very interesting to consider the analytics side to the tape side. Tape wise, there's just not enough examples of Burden making space without manufactured touches. I was lower on him because of this. Analytically I can see how it makes sense he could create separation though. Thanks for improving my draft process.
@MapexNJD it's there, it's just in his sophomore year. Cook couldn't throw the ball downfield because of his new mechanics this year. So they had to manufacture short field touches to get the ball to Burden because Brady kept throwing noodles. Burden will benefit from NFL offenses and QBs, and honestly he is good enough to justify some manufactured touches, he isn't like Marvin Mims who Payton literally schemes touches for or else he isn't not involved. - signed, a Mizzou fan
Jack bech looked great as a true freshman at lsu. Seemed like he touched the ball every time he was in, just didn’t get enough reps with how lsu has been the last few years. The knock for late break out age will help us get him later at least.
Tez Johnson note that you probably know: He’s Bo Nix’s adopted brother. They also balled out together and Tez hit 1,000 yard. He would’ve easily eclipsed it again this year but got a shoulder injury that kept him out a couple games. Easily Oregon’s best WR this yea. Evan Stewart had a solid year for himself but needs to take another step forward again next year for the Ducks. If Tez ends up in Denver, watch out. Otherwise will be interesting to see if he ever can become a consistent WR2 or WR3 for a team

What's burdens ceiling comp? Deebo? You start your argument with he needs manufactured touches, that rt is a huge risk. That means offensive scheme and supporting cast matters so much. Tet you comp to Evans, line him up and get him on an island and let him beat the oppositions corners. Burden isn't nabers, chase, or the other explosive downfield slots or at least there is very little film to suggest it. He could be mingo or shenault where tet floor could be sutton or higgins. Not even close for me but burden still my wr3 in class after hunter if I hear he's a wr and tet. Hunter would be wr1 if he only played wr
Nah disagree though. Burden doesn't need manufactured touches, look at his second year. He only needed them this year because Cook changed his motion and couldn't throw downfield. There's a big difference between someone who can win everywhere and this can justify additional manufactured touches (Burden) and someone who you have to manufacture touches for (Marvin Mims).
@BeastThatThang you comparing Burden to Shenault or Mingo is laughable and says everything it needs to about how uninformed your opinion is. He's been far closer to Nabers and Chase even if he is only 90% as good as those guys. Just put on the sophomore year tape. Mingo never even came CLOSE to that performance in either stats or eye test. In fact the closest stats to the year Burden had are literally Nabers at LSU.
@thedynastydomain - it's a good take, dw don't listen to this guy. I def think LB3 and Tet are in the same tier and it's a coin toss between them. The fact he compared Burden to Mingo/Shenault shows that he wasn't watching Burden's unbelievable sophomore year.
I said his floor is mingo or shenault, both were second round picks, but his adot and air yards are horrendous or not even existent. It could be Cook,.it could be the offense but as an x in his freshman year he didn't do much, of course you can say he's a freshman but Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams, Ryan wingo, tj moore, bryant Wesco, etc have shown freshman can ball, tet even did better his freshman year too
I have the 1.02, 1.05, and 1.07 in a 10 team 0.5ppr sf league. Biggest weakness is my WRs. Made up of Pickens, Davante Adams, Jamo, Shakir, and Keenan Allen. Was planning to grab at least 1 RB in the first round (preferably Hampton). Am I better off taking a chance on the top WRs coming out of this class or trying to get more established? Unfortunately part is that people are really stingy about trading/overvalue certain players
I know you mentioned youre more analytic than film, which i think shows up multiple times in this video. I dont tend to view metrics as much as i look at how a player looks on tape. Royals, Horton, and Golden all look better on film than their analytics show. Horton will be a steal if he falls to third round in dynasty. Royals in second and golden in late second early third will all be steals.
If you had picks 1.1 and 1.2 in a 1 qb, tep, 12 teams. Would it be viable to draft rb rb if chase brown is your only starting rb? My initial thoughts were to draft the #1rb and #1 wr in the class
I like Bech but considering he has that low of a bakery score and you add in the fact that no TCU wr has ever been very successful in the league. I know historical stats aren’t everything but I feel that may be the cherry on top
I currently have the 1.01 and 1.08, would you guys do the 1.08 + or, use one of my 3 2026 firsts to move higher up in the first? I rebuilt this year and hoping to reload to be most competitive next year
You don't have to make those decisions now. Assuming you're doing a slow draft like you should be, you can wait and see how the board falls which will let you know when and where to trade and move around during the draft. Have ideas but don't lock in moves rn imo
@ Appreciate it thank you, we usually do an in-person draft after the NFL draft. But we take time in between picks to make sure we have conversations about trades and whatever else so I’ll definitely play by ear unless I get an offer I can’t turn down
If you can move up to the top 3? I would do it. I was sitting on 1.1, 1.7,1.9, 1.10 and 1.12. I packaged 1.7 and 1.9 for pick 1.2. I feel pretty good about my trade
@@bolomeboy So a '26 first and 2nd likely aren't going to be exciting enough for the 1.4. Now pick 1.8 and a first next year would be closer. I am not sure how many teams are in your league. But it seems highly likely that the '26 first is going to be later than the 1.4
S- McMillan and Egbuka A- Burden B- Higgins, Harris, Bond, Stewart, and Bech C- Noel, Williams, Ayomanor, and Royals D- Johnson, C Lacy, and Restrepo McMillan would not have been a top five receiver in last year’s class. Egbuka is a great high-floor prospect. Really liked the production from the two ISU guys.
all of these guys are ranked relative to each other, not any other class. if we were considering last years class then correct there is no guy at that level this year.
I don't like this S tier honestly. Egbuka is good, but you're talking about him being a "good WR2". Same tier has Tet where you say "he is Mike Evans" that doesn't make sense to me honestly.
@@morganvfx2780 I’ll reemphasize the fact that my league is .5 ppr. So I’m curious if people would be leaning more towards burden/mcmillan or Hampton/johnson at this spot understanding also that the 1.02 is somewhat murky for this class

we put his projected DC anywhere from 2-5 so not sure how we missed the boat. his analytics aren't that great, neither are Bonds. like we mentioned UT WRs are super hard to analyze statistically because they get very little usage.
Just valuing guys ahead of him is my issue, wr 14 is way to low, wr 7 or better and an A teir guy imo, I'll give you the top 7 and agree on royals he's one of my sleepers, but no one in b teir is better than him. I'm curious about nash out of san Jose st. and savion Williams is very intriguing as well
Hunter may be the most athletic player you've ever seen, but he's not top 5 that I've seen. "The best ___ ever" needs to fade. It's overused to no end.
Other than RBs, I’m avoiding all QBs, WRs, and TEs (besides maybe the top few if you need a TE) in this class. My thinking is that if you need a QB or WR, I’d rather trade the pick(s) you have for a proven to be good WR or QB
@@vishred I hope Luther is better than Calvin Austin. But there’s been a lot of players that are ‘ball in hands in space’ that have come and gone in the NFL. I don’t want to be right but history shows that is the track record.
@ I would advise you to look at some of my other comments on this post. He is much more than that. There's a lot of mitigating factors (QBs) which caused LB to have his ADOT so low this year. The year prior showed he doesn't need manufactured touches, but he is just that good that he deserves them if your QB forgets how to throw a deep ball. I promise you, watch his tape from his sophomore year and you'll see it.
@vishred I just remember lots of creators saying tet > burden no question until the end of season and slowly it's flipping.. just something I noticed, I like burden a lot I was just hoping he'd fall to me haha
@ I'll flip it though, last year Burden was ranked above Tet as WR1 by a fair amount of people. What realistically happened is creators weren't able to look at the film until end of season so for the beginning of it they were just going off the stats from the most recent year

Other than RBs, I’m avoiding all QBs, WRs, and TEs (besides maybe the top few if you need a TE) in this class. My thinking is that if you need a QB or WR, I’d rather trade the pick(s) you have for a proven to be good WR or QB
Sarratt not declaring
Came out pretty much right when we dropped this video
Terrible take on Hunter if he plays 50%
Elijah Sarratt is going to back to school. It’ll be nice if you guys do your homework before making these videos.
Unfortunately we filmed prior to the news broke of him returning to IU. We sure are happy to have another year of him in Bloomington though!
studs
Matthew Golden is better than Bond.
You may be right
Got offered Jaylin Polk and a 25 2nd for Worthy
16 team dynasty
I think it's crazy to put burden over t mac after lackluster season from burden.
the stats werent great but a lot of that was situation. hes still good on film. same tier tho so it doesnt matter
@josephclayton6735 I would watch the Mizzou QB situation. Cook with the new, crappy mechanics and Pyke.... it was a very dicey passing offense.
Mathew Golden way too low imo
After watching video, class still seems pretty sucky
Damn this class falls off quick…
I really hope hunter declares as a wr. Wr1 for me if he does
He’s gonna be a corner with maybe 30% of snaps at wr MAX 😢
Luther vs Tett sounds like Calvin Austin vs Tee Higgins, I know what player I'd rather have and it's not even close...
luther is better than that. tee higgins is a nice comp for tet
@RynBrolo lazy comparison mate. Agree with @thedynastydomain
*nothing happens*
The dynasty community: actually burden is better than tet
@@biff867 sophomore season didn’t happen?
@vishred I just remember lots of creators saying tet > burden no question until the end of season and slowly it's flipping.. just something I noticed, I like burden a lot I was just hoping he'd fall to me haha
@ I'll flip it though, last year Burden was ranked above Tet as WR1 by a fair amount of people. What realistically happened is creators weren't able to look at the film until end of season so for the beginning of it they were just going off the stats from the most recent year
@@vishred that's definitely what's happening, it's just amusing to me
@@biff867 totally mate, fair enough!
This class does suck
be nice to the class its shy
