Was it bad to take Mahomes over AJ brown in the second round in a dynasty league no super flex? 14 man league so 19th pick

Rate my startup? 14 man league starting 1 qb, 2 rb, 3wr, 1 flex (RB,WR, or TE) and a D/ST. 7 bench, 4 taxi, 4 IR spots. My league seemed to value WR's and top tier RB's way more than QB's I think due to being able to start up to 3 RB's or 4 WR's depending on what flex is used for. Drafted RB's in 5th, 7th, 10th, 13th, and 18th. 1.10 - Garret Wilson 2.5 - Mahomes 3.10 - Rome Odunze 4.5 - Brock Bowers 5.10 - Deandre Swift (thinking I should have gone Adison here but felt like there was a tier drop off at RB's coming up and thought Adison might fall to me next round) 6.5 - Davante Adams (felt like good value in 6th despite age, and if this year doesn't work out, can trade to contender end of season for future draft picks) 7.10 - Blake Corum 8.5 - Justin Herbert (went as our 13th QB) 9.10 - Romeo Doubs (traded for Xavier Legette straight up immediately after draft as I'm projected to finish 12 and think Lregette has more potential) 10.5 - J.K. Dobbins (I'm way higher on this guy then most people. He's played 24 NFL games, if he can stay healthy I think it's a steal) 11.10 - Cowboys D/ST 12.5 - Jakobi Meyers 13.10 - Tyron Tracy 14.5 - J.J. McCarthy (can put on IR or taxi) 15.10 - Cade Otton More Rb's and WR's rest of way, with exception of Justin Fields in 19th.

The single most important factor in determining success with this is never expecting to. All that matters is ending up with one more gamebreaker than the rest of your team. Everyone else is replaceable within 3-5ppg, everyone. Balance is for accountants. That’s the secret. The most effective strategy for improving your odds is ripping off the league mates in trades. Winning the draft requires luck you can’t control. You can control waiver moves, and control pestering every grape 🍇 owner in your league with trades until he finally gives in. It’s the secret to winning leagues. Zay flowers and Nabers for Jettas?

Love it boys. Largely agree with everything here. If anything I might move Ladd up to the back of the C tier and Keon down to the top of F tier effectively eliminating that tier altogether. Might wanna move Wright up a tier too. Regarding Odunze, I think it’s pretty optimistic to think he takes over Keenan as WR2 halfway through the year. I know he’s old and I know he’s just as new to the team as Odunze, but we can’t discount Keenan. Man was still a true elite WR last season and while I’m EXTREMELY optimistic about Odunze in dynasty and tbh might even prefer him over Nabers, I do genuinely think it’s gonna be a very rough entire rookie season

Just did my 1 QB 10 team rookie draft. 1.01 Marvin, 1.02 Nabers, 1.06 Brooks, 1.08 Thomas, 2.01 Caleb. Was hoping to get Bowers at the 1.06, but he was taken at the 1.04. 2.01 came down to Caleb/Daniels, went with the QB with the better offense.

Just me personally. Daniels in S, McCarthy in D, Corum in F before Benson
