    I just watched a floss-tube of yours from 2017. It was the one regarding the Elan lap stand and various other tools to make stitching easier.
    I love your videos. You are the most organized of any floss-tuber that I have watched. I enjoy learning and seeing others completed projects and WIPS.
    I do not enjoy seeing/ hearing people talk to their animals or just being disorganized.
    One thing you mentioned in your floss-tube video is that a magnifier can cause a fire. This happened to me a few years ago. I left my Carson head lamp with light/magnifier lenses on an ottoman. I had a pattern of paper, some gold filament and a few other things on the ottoman. The light was not on ,however, the sun was brightly shining. I went to make some toast and smelled smoke. I originally thought the toaster must be on fire. Checked that - nothing. Looked to the family room and saw swirls of smoke. I dashed and saw a 4 inch flame rising from the paper. My magnifier lenses must have been sitting at a perfect angle. I’m guessing the gold filament ignited my paper chart. I quickly smothered the flame. The fire actually burned a nickel size hole in our brown leather ottoman. I could barely believe it happened. Had I not been home I could/would have burnt the house down. I’m sure it was just a freaky coincidence. Please let others know those magnifiers really can start a fire as my magnifiers were just the size of a glass lense.😮

      Thank You Pamela!! Wow! I am so glad you were home and it didn't cause a large fire!!! Yes, we definitely need to be cautious with magnifiers.

    Thanks for the organizing tips for those projects with blends. When I did my Teresa Wentzler "Millennium", which had dozens of blends, I made a floss away bag for each blend Lower DMC number/Higher DMC number in order. I pull one strand of each color and tuck them into the bag. That lets me make up to six lengths of each blend before I need to replenish the bag. Like you, I prefer Floss Away baggies. I don't like floss cards or floss drops. The tangled ends make me crazy.
    I love seeing your progress on everything. "Lost No More' has really advanced! I'm seriously thinking about collecting those Liz Mathews pieces - they are wonderful.

I think you can find something similar on Etsy if you search for "scroll rod side clips" or "scroll rod side tensioners". I have also made my own out of velcro strips and suspender clips I bought at JoAnns.

I currently use a hoop and would like to try a frame. • @Handworkmaniac
      @Handworkmaniac  Рік тому +1

      Hi!! I am still using all the same tools and set up, still loving them :) I always use an 11 x 11 q-snap whenever possible, even on large projects over 18 inches wide. I just make sure I always have felt or fabric between the clip and the already stitched part. However, if it has beads or specialty stitches with long threads I can't use q-snaps, so I would use a scroll rod :)
