It makes me happy just to go in the room. Sometimes when I don't feel well physically or mentally I just go in there and sit for a few minutes and look around :)
Love how you have your room organized! It is so fun to see how others work their storage and organizing especially since the majority of us stitchers accumulate a lot of things between fabrics, patterns, kits, floss, tools, etc. My craft room is a complete disaster at the moment and I am working to try and organize and figure out where to put everything - LOL! One day I will be able to see my floor and the top of my desk won't have piles! LOL!! - Laura
Some day, when I have guts enough to become a flosstuber, I'll film my craftroom that I share with my fiancé. I have a lot of projects to share, and I think it would be so nice to show to someone who is actually interested in seeing it. Thank you, Brenda. You are an inspiration!
Thank You Sergio! I so agree :) I have thought a lot about your comment and how crucial it is for people who create to have a quiet, beautiful, peaceful place to do it :)
Thanks for keeping it real! I think we look at the 'staged' craft rooms on Printrest and despair that our space does not look like that. I'd rather come visit a place like yours with lovely antiques and one is clearly a working space, not a white, sterile, color blocked stage set. BTW, my "Au Fil des Nichoirs" came Saturday, so I'm ready for the October start!
Thanks for sharing your space with us, Brenda. I loved the tour. You have encouraged me to continue making my craft room (I converted my loft to a craft room) into the sanctuary I always wanted to have to showcase my art. A couple of members of my family shake their heads and say that I should have made it into another master bedroom, but they just do not understand my passion for needlework, diamond painting, puzzle making and - just plain reading mystery books to my hearts content. Have a great Fall season.
I'm guessing it's the voyeur in me but I love seeing how real people organize their personal crafty spaces. Yours is a wonder cozy spot where you can touch all of the goodies!
Love seeing how everyone else stores all of their craftiness. I think it’s been my life lately trying to make sense of all the things in my tiny room also. Being a flosstuber has definitely helped me keep tabs on it all. I’ll need to take advantage of your suggestions when it comes to keeping things in a bin to show on my next update! 👍💚 thank you for sharing.
I loved seeing your craft room! I was hoping to see it one day! I am using floss away bags for specialty floss and so it was great to see how you organize them! Thanks for all of your updates!
Your room is fantastic! As I watched, I am reorganizing my DMC! It is all over the place, Some on bobbins, others on floss drops, in grocery store bags, kitted or in WIP’s in project bags, and some brand new! I have too much to know what I have so now I’ll re-catalog and am putting them in floss bags! Tired of buying more floss and then finding I have the color! Your space is very organized and looks so cozy!
Hi, thank you for the tour of your stitch heaven. Really like the display wall made from insulation. Great idea- may have to borrow that! Your dad’s wood worked pieces are remarkable, truly works of love and beauty. Thanks, again.
I don't feel so bad abt my space /room now. Lots of boxes and file boxes, my sewing machine. It always looks like a tornado hit it but I know where EVERYTHING is. Mine is in the living room I never used. I have a TV and recliner in here too. I heard diamond painting kit? U should show that too. Love your stitchy space. Thank you for your time. Love the videos.
Yay! I'm so glad another stitcher likes to be able to see everything she is looking for :) Your space sounds perfect. And yes, you are right, I should definitely show the diamond paintings :)
I enjoyed your craftroom tour. :-) It’s always fun to see other’s creative spaces. Yours is so well organized and jam packed with cross stitching goodness. (I watch flosstube on my tv, but I grabbed my iPad to write this comment. Though I seldom comment, please know I always enjoy your flosstube episodes and marvel at how much you accomplish.)
Thanks for sharing Brenda. A truly space from someone that loves the craft and uses the area ❤🎉 I would love to have a explore around in the room too 😊warmly xx
Ооооо нет слов! Сколько всего интересного,красивого! Как здорово ,что ваш Папа помогает вам,делает красивые деревянные вещи,это так по-доброму))Спасибо за видео
Dear Lady Who Can Find Anything on the Internet! I went looking for the plastic tags you use on your project bags on Amazon . . . and I can't find them. Do you remember what they were? Love your printing!! And your stitching, of course. Thanks for sharing your special place.
Thank you for sharing how your treasures are organized. Right now my room looks like a bomb went off in it. But I just ordered some shelves to try to go vertically and make access an storage more efficient. I know that I am a messy crafter but I also like things to look nice, so it is a constant battle between creating or tidying. Lol.
Thank You Catherine! The tags were called "CDM Supply Flex Tag, 50 Pack, Clear Flexible Key Tags" and the cable rings are called "cable key rings". The ones I bought are way to thick and stiff, I need to find thinner, more flexible ones :)
It's great to see a 'real' craft room😀. So many are so clear of stuff, they're almost sterile.Crafter's like their stuff around them. Thanks for showing Brenda and looking forward to your next video. Take care🤗🇬🇧
Thank you for sharing your happy place. I have not been able to find any good tags to identify my project bags and love the little ones you use. I couldn't find on amazon, do you remember what they were called? You also hang all your seasonally projects on the wall and the smalls in your cabinet but do you hang any of your work around your house?
Hi Nanci! Yes, I have a few pieces hanging around my house, but my goal is to get more displayed throughout the house. I laughingly told my husband that for the amount of time I spend on stitching every day, you could never tell by walking into my house!!! LOL Until you went into the sewing room . . . The name of the product on Amazon is: "CDM Supply Flex Tag, 50 Pack, Clear Flexible Key Tags, Reusable Key Labels, Ultra Thin Identifiers for Keys, Luggage, Inventory, Merchandise Labeling Tagging" And the link is a.co/d/alY86BQ
Awesome tour. Do you like the nurge hoops?someone said they are tighter than others? Wow where do you find time to work, stitch and do other crafts!? Amazing. Thanks❤
Thank You Cindy! Yes, I do really like the Nurge hoops, especially for small projects, or tight spaces like stitching on the plane. I still prefer q-snaps, but love Nurge hoops when q-snaps are not practical. Yes, they are very tight, but I think they would leave a hoop mark if you left the project in it for days and days :)
@@Handworkmaniac thanks for the reply. Am debating as some other flosstuber mentioned it as well. I use my scroll rods or the metal hoops with the clasp you grab which can be tight as well
Wonderful Brenda! Thanks so much. I’m a stunned it takes 4 containers for DMC? Do you have several floss bags for each color? I may need to update my 1980s drawer my husband made for me for my complete set. I am a BIT attached to my drawer😂 Duplicate skeins do not fit in it. For sure I will do NPI like your DMC Huge tip for me and you shared every detail ❤. Love seeing your fabric organizing. Mine is getting close to looking like yours, just haven’t found the right bins yet. Two tries so far. Lol
I have a suggestion for your orts! I save them and during spring place them outside on bushes for the birds to use for nest building. As they disappear, I add more. The birds love them along with small pieces of fabric trimmings.
I thought it was universally agreed that this is terrible for birds. It can't be broken down naturally and it gets twisted on them, its really not a good practice
