Her nails are pink, adorable.
Classy chic.
I just got my pink toe today. I named it Charlie. He’s so awesome. Started climbing all over me the second I got him into his home. Such an amazing species!
Congratulations on your new spider.! 😁👍 But are you sure it's a male.?
I’m not too sure yet. 🤷♀️ Im hoping for a girl, I haven’t been able to tell exactly so I’m just calling it a him just so I don’t get my hopes up on having a girl.
@@marley7130 Ah cool, I hopenitba girl too 👍
I got mine Friday and it is sooo smallll, not my first tarantula but it is my fist one of this breed!!
So beautiful!! 🤗💖 definitely inspiring me to get a pink toe. Can you make an updated video on her terrarium?
Thank you.! I will definitely try to make an update video on her. I recorded video footage of two of my other tarantulas and need to get around to making those too. lol so busy these days sigh.! :) :) :)
i got this type of tarantula since 2 months, she's my first exotic pet, this information really helps me to understand what nirvana needs, my brother helped me to give her a name, so i hope that nirvana have a nice treatment, i will do all the necesary for she feels confortable :3
Congratulations on your new exotic pet. You will enjoy your pet spider 🕷 Always try to remember to offer water 💧 especially since summer time is upon us 😊
Avics are awesome. 😊 They are both peaceful, whimsical and pretty at the same time.
Just an adorable species!🙆♂️🥰👍
This was a great video! Wonderful explanation, perfect footage, and PERFECT music! This is one I'll watch multiple times 😍
Wow thank you.! I appreciate the kind words :) :) :)
Avics are just adorable.
I have one, her name is Consuela or "Connie" for short. Haven't mustered the courage to handle her yet, but she seems pretty laid back...
Just got a pink toe yesterday. My first t. Learned a lot from video. Thanks
This stressed me out. kept thinking she was going to fall. Beautiful pink 💗.
This was a really good video. Well thought out and put together. Your tank nice, as well.
Thanks I appreciate that :) :) :)
Nice video Rick,
When I lived in England I was in the animal trade for some years, selling tropical fish.
I never got around to stocking tarantulas. One reason being, that they were not so readily available in those days. There was a vegetable processing factory in the neighborhood, that imported onions from Spain and occasionally they had to deal with tarantulas which came in with some shipments, likely these found their way into the local pet-trade. Though I have to say, they were no where near as spectacular as your pink bird eater. That's something else!
There was one memorable incident at the local supermarket. A member of staff opened a consignment of bananas and disturbed a Brazilian huntsman spider. I've no idea how big an adult specimen is but it inflicted some nasty bites on his face and he was quite ill for a while.
Thank you Guilhermo, I appreciate that.! :) Sorry for the slow reply, I'm always so busy these days. I don't really have time to scroll through the comments. The banana story is kinda scary because Brazil does have a spider called "The Brazilian Wondering Spider" These are one of the most dangerous of spider and can kill a person. be careful my friend :) :) :)
My first tarantula. I named her Dorothy. She was so cool and she loved a big juicy bug lemme tell ya. Thinking about getting another although my first was a rescue someone didn't want and had almost killed. Thanks for the vid!
For sure.! Zoe has always been a cool name for me as well 😁👍
Somebody rescued, then almost killed the poor spider?!😮😢
Great info , I have a Martinique pink toe (sling ) coming on Tuesday, . Looking forward to hopefully see it mature 👍💜
Awe those are so vibrant blue when they are slings.! It truly is amazing to see them in that color format ❤️
Love your video bro just got me a pink toe terrified of animals but finally been able to hold a tarantula and love it . Love your set up also definitely looking into also thanks for info
For sure thanks I appreciate that, hope you enjoy your new pink toe 😁👍
Oh she is really cute 😍 💕!
Beautiful beautiful and those pink toes. I envy those pink toes lol
I have an empty zoo med bugarium that I haven't used since I had my praying mantis so I wanted a spider & this one looks like the right fit for the enclosure in I'm definitely getting one sometime this year. Thanks for the video it was helpful & informative.
You will love owning this spider 👍
@@rickgonzales it will be my first Spider although I own reptiles 🐍🐊 🐢 🐉 🐲, & fish 🐟 🐠 🐳 🐋 I also used to own a Praying Mantis before so I'm pretty confident in carrying for a spider but before I get one I'll do as much research as possible so that I could be ready to own one.
I’m picking up a female today at a fantastic price. A great video and I have also subbed.
Thank you and great choice.! You will absolutely love her :) :) :)
It walks with its mouth pieces lol like 10 legs :) love how each leg goes up before down hehe
She’s so sweet🥺😭
you too..
Just got one today!
Great!
Love these. When I was kid they were pure black with pink toes. I think the species has been cross bred at some point. Salem my female is one of my favourites in my collection
The Caribena versicolor is an entirely different species. Not a hybrid.
I wish mine was that calm
Mine is so god damn bolty
Same I’ll get the little dude out and he bolts😤😤😤😤
Mines a purple pink toe hehe so cute 🥰
Your so lucky ! You can only get them as small slings. I have the metallic pink toe and she is beautiful. 4"
Where did you get the enclosure?
That's so gorg❤️🔥
Shes a definitely beauty.!
My Brother has one. It freaks me out knowing its in the house.
0:51 those spaghetti limbs remind me of Penny Fitzgerald from Gumball
Mild venom but difficult to keep.
Any chance I could get a link to where I could purchase that enclosure? I'm looking at adding a Venezuelan Suntiger or GBB to my collection.
Hi Rick! I came across your channel! I like how you describe your beautiful eight-legged child!! 😍
I just bought my pink toe tarantula! I'm still learning how to care for it since it's my first baby! How do I know if it's a female and a male? What do I have to look out for since I am a beginner? And I am going to get an Arizona blondie soon! Please make more beautiful videos of your eight-legged T's!
Greetings Nancy, Sorry for the slow reply, I've been so busy this last summer, I hope all is well with your new Pink toe :) :) :) Thank you and hopefully I can to Make some new videos soon, time permitting.! lol
@@rickgonzales Hi Rick!! 👋 ☺ its all good. thanks for getting back to me. Hes growing up slowly but surely. hope you're holidays are going well!! 😊😇
Nice video. Thnx
Thank you :)
I have one
Got my son a pink toe today. He named it Yugi. He’s in love with Yugioh.
Awesome, what've great spider to have 😁👍
Hey i just got a new pinktoe trantula just like the one here in your video,i really can use some good advice wondering if you can help me out sometime?
They do not require a lot of humidity cross ventilation is much more important
Perfect example of how not to make a natural enclosure. This looks like a prison yard for a tarantula. Also there are 6 morphotypes of avicularia. And the Antilles pink toe is no longer an avic. It's genus is caribena, related to the caribena laeta.
My pink toe eats nonstop. She'll eat two, sometimes three crickets at a time, in her grasp. She's young and hasn't molted yet. How often should I feed her? Whatever I put in she eats right-away. How long should I wait after she eats til I feed her again? Thoughts?
3 Crickets once a week is good. As she matures to an adult you can spread out the feeding to once every two weeks :)
What about water how don’t they need a small bowl of water or to they get it just from the humidity
Yes they do need a water cup. I always keep a water cup for my tarantulas :) :) :)
I have a jumping spider right now and the ladies at petsmart know me for buying crickets. I was offered one of these beauties. I want to because i want to take her out of that small terrarium they have her in. I'm still very new to this and a little scared but im fascinated. Any tips would help and should I go for it? Ive had my red back jumping spider since the end of july.
If you've enjoyed the company of your little jumping spider... why not get a pink toe as well 😊👍
Why won't you put the substrate everywhere
The reason why is because the spider doesn't need it. The Pink toe is an arboreal species so it wants nothing to do with the ground or substrate. The only reason I put any in the cage at all is to add a little humidity to the cage.
I don't understand😒. Where's the heat that generates the humidity?
Humidity is just moisture in the air. Room temperature is fine for all tarantulas. This is the Antilles pink toe which is a caribena versicolor the aviculara aviculara is the Guyana pink toe which is black with pink toes with some orange and white tipped hairs
@@nickstarantulas this is Avic Avic in the vid
Why does it have plastic to live its life on
It spends almost all of its life above ground, so providing a burrowing substrate is unnecessary.
@@fortheloveofinsects5072 but it wants a nice view
Also, they build their own silk enclosures inside the plastic one:) Almost like a silk tunnel, where they (Typically a female) will spend most of their time.
@@williambarley1122 They don't really "want" anything but to feel safe and secure. Enrichment isn't really necessary. That being said, my pink toe is in a lovely tank that I decorated more for my sake than hers for viewing purposes lol
I just bought one
