I was impressed as to how you both reacted to some of Ian's initial remarks which I think would have irritated others with your kind of experience. It sounded to me (perhaps I'm wrong?) as if he was simply going through a pre-prepared script which wasn't appropriate for seasoned enthusiasts such as yourselves. He did seem to adapt however towards the middle of the video. Listen, anyone who can correctly pronounce Dailuaine should have been enough of clue to the guide, that he wasn't talking to casual drinkers.
It must be difficult to judge how to pitch the story to different people. Ten years ago a lady with a dog asked me about the camera on my drone. I had to keep increasing my level of description as she asked more questions. Turned out she worked on rovers for NASA.
What a fantastic tasting😊 I like Dailuaine a lot cause the waxiness reminds me a lot to Clynelish and old Cragganmore‘s from 1985 from a bourbon cask are fantastic. Some have smoke from these times. The end was fantastic. Pretend to be not drunken after this breakfast😊🥃👌Cheers.
There's no such thing indeed than whisky taken straight from the cask & by ourselves, and then tasting it...Well done, guys...Music in the tasting room, though, not sure (though it was a pleasant choice, considering what's on the market, commercial offer wise, mind you, but it feels loud). Cardhu for me is still an underrated distillery, not always served by the core range, but it can be exceptional, i know that...Interesting also to have access to other distilleries casks from the same group...and indeed what a privilege to be the only ones to be at the warehouse !
Thanks Greg. The music always seems loud on the video but not noticeable in real life. Probably because video does not have spatial audio. It was great to try all of these at cask strength
@@WhiskyMysterygood point, I meant to ask about the Dailuaine from the barrel you tried, which has an expression in Flora & Fauna, but the one you got was totally different, how did you like it?
The never ending journey to keep our intoxication level from our parents…. Great video! Thanks!
haha
What a great experience! I like that they are mainly Bourbon casks so it is possible to get the distillery character.
And we like bourbon casks
Always enjoy your distillery videos as I have yet to make it to Scotland. Cheers!
One day
What a great experience! I love watching the joy in your faces when you guys get to do something g like this 😁👍🏻
It was a great tasting
Sheer EYE CANDY at the SHop, tho pricey ! Love it.
Always the problem
Deepa "Faceometer" tells all. Great video, thank you for sharing.
Exactly.
Do they have any swings around here 😂👏
hehe

@Whisky Mystery What a marvellous story. Thanks for that.
I've always passed by the Cragganmore at Total Wine. Maybe I should get one.
I am curious what normal strength will be like. We will open it soon

I like the nose and taste of Cardhu, but wish we could always get it at at least 46% instead of the wimpy 40%.
True. It is frustrating
Great experience! which expressions of the Flora & Fauna collection you liked the most?
Never had any
