Actually, the first thing taken by astronaut John Young when he became part of the first space mission in June 1965 was a picture that still hangs in the Astronauts Memorial at the Kennedy Space Center, of a piece of floating junk captured in space. That junk was a piece of launched Soviet tire 657. Awn7mFktpB4
1:06:15 my gut actually dropped when Jack didn’t see the shade sitting in the middle of the theatre and continued to run around. That genuinely filled me with so much dread and fear
Imagine being a teacher and having a nice young student who you're pleased to see go on to a successful entertainment career, and then finding out he used to call you "thundertits".
I'm sure the parents of だいすきです天才ですスターボブだと thereagentps made a terrible decision for their child's future when they exposed him to this type of language and offends their teacher's delicate sensibilities. Awn7mFktpB4
Idk if it's just that I'm in a bit of a weird headspace right now, but this game honestly felt more cozy than creepy. It just felt like those kind of mystical moments you have when you're young but unafraid and venture out in the dark and all the "unknown" that lurks there becomes magical rather than sinister. Like it hides fairies rather than demons. Sean continually brings up the desire to rollerblade through these locations and it's exactly that. There may be an odd shadow thing, but it's not hurting anyone or even being all that threatening. These all just feel like walking through empty memories where the light is softer and the darkness brings warmth. It's all just a bunch of odd dreams in a row. How strange.
Its so creepy that Jack missed the person crawling across the hall at 41:00, it just goes to show how he previously was talking about missing certain scares and not seeing people watching him or being in the background. Love it
Last winter I shot a commercial for a ski resort in Michigan. We were there during a week that one of the lodges was closed to the public and we were given free range of it. My co-workers and I explored the whole place at night with no lights and found a game lounge that we made into our basecamp. We played manhunt and sardines all night while it snowed outside. When we woke up the next morning we were allowed to ski the whole mountain by ourselves as it was still technically closed. Truly an incredible memory I’ll treasure forever.
I love how “effective” this game is. Especially with the theater and the school, the places you go to and walk through make you think of your own memories. Jack talks a lot about his own experiences in some of these areas, which is exactly the point of Liminal Spaces. Each section felt like an old repressed memory, and it’s definitely one of the best Liminal Spaces games I’ve ever seen.
I feel like especially with the backrooms becoming so popular, it’s hard to remember that things involved with liminal spaces don’t always have to be works of horror. Sometimes liminal spaces can just be something to remind you of a long forgotten moment or place.
@@kazzookaE The reason liminal space works well in horror is the fact it's eerie, unsettling. All on purpose. It's a familiar space in an unfamiliar setting. It's supposed to be bring back memories or make a person feel nostalgic even if they've never been there.

I've been in a empty mall: we went to a movie that ended after the mall closed. This huge space that usually is bustling; deserted and dead. Creepy is an understatement
Same. We had a theater we used to go to in Florida that was in, what we called, the 'Ghost Mall'. It was so creepy walking past all the old, dark, and closed up stores. Especially as a young kid.
I’ve seen this mall that is no longer open but there is a planet fitness located in the mall that is still open. So you have to walk through the abandoned mall to get to the planet fitness. Really weird
I have always thought about turning an abandoned mall into a Paintball arena on steroids, a really cool Laser tag place, or open it up as a Halloween attraction... or just all the above.
I absolutely love that this game has (mostly) no scares, it really helps to drive home the loneliness these spaces have when unoccupied. The scary parts aren't the shadowy figures or blood on the walls, it's how completely alone you are.

1:06:09 I feel like everyone should experience what it feels like to walk into the theater, the long dark hallway, and as you walk one of the sides of the wall, slowly gets lower as you walk in, and the sound gets louder. A million memories spring into my mind everytime i walk through.
I worked at a couple theaters for a little over a year total. The long nights cleaning alone once the theater has been closed... were always so deeply eerie and almost sad. It was a stressful job, but I do miss it sometimes.
@@Samuel-sg2iv If it was a busy day, the cleaning could get pretty bad. Doubly so if a new kids' movie had released. The worst messes were when A Madea Family Funeral came out. And it wasn't a race thing at all, it was just anyone who went to see that film decided to trash the fucking place.

It's a really really nice, well executed, and straightforward game. "Interior world" is a cool word to say internal thoughts, dreams, or memories. Jack said it himself the first couple of minute into the video. I think the person is just trying to move on from the past and the entire game is him reliving the past in his head through the pictures he has captured in his camera. The horror itself is how "alien" the memories are for him. The past doesn't feel like home anymore, that it feels like a whole different world now with all the changes in life and everything. He finally did take a step to move forward by throwing away the only physical copy of said memories. It's bittersweet, I really like it.
i think the beauty of games like these is that it’s completely up to interpretation. whether you think it’s just exploring or whether you’re linking it to a deeper meaning, it’s all subjective and i love that
That’s so sweet that Seán rented out the theater for Evelien’s birthday so she could see her favorite horror movie on the big screen! 💕💕 I wish theaters in the US did this!
The being watched thing - That was one of my favourite parts of The Haunting of Hill House, noticing your first ghost and realizing they were hidden around the whole time. It made the second watch through more exciting trying to spot them all
YES i love Haunting of Hill House, one of my favorite tv shows ever. There are actually DOZENS of ghosts that show up in the backgrounds but I didn't even catch one while watching it for the first time. It's insane how attentive to detail that show is.
I appreciate that sort of thing far more than cheap jump scares. That show and Bly Manor gave me the heebie jeebies. The sort that stays with you after you turn it off and as soon as the episode starts. Very well done. I love horror like that. The sort that uses gore, jump scares and gimmicks is not for me at all. Not memorable and not well done.
Interesting how Sean is so trigger happy to capture a Jerry, but when he sees a shadow person right in front of him he would never snap a photo of them. Never.
I love how the only time Sean got legit scared is when he heard a fart with a reverb in a bathroom. I think he just didn't realize what it was. 😄 Edit: It's at 1:24:12

Sean stumbling upon the vinesauce room is like seeing two of your favorite friends that have never talked to one another randomly at the store interacting
I worked at a local airport for almost three years (would have been next month), and let me tell you. The WORSE management I have ever seen or been around. Coworkers were the only tolerable and nice thing about that job (I had a fair amount of decent customers), and we weren't allowed to go home until EVERY flight in the terminal I worked on the one side of the airport so half the time I didn't even get home until 11pm-midnight from starting at noon, 3 days a week with garbage pay. Needless to say, I laughed so hard cause you were so on the money and I quit in August. Never been happier to leave a job xD You nailed it
Jack, Gab and their friend John Wolfe are the only people I watch aside from the occasional Jay from the Kubz Scouts. My comfort people 😭♥️ I watch Jack and Jay for energy and John Wolfe and Gabs when I need to watch something to sleep (I can't sleep in silence). It feels like having a friend gaming in my room.
Sean catching the Vinesauce room is hilarious after watching Vinny on my own for so long lmao. (The long dude that came outta the dumpster is named meat, and the alien in the window is Gnortz, Vinny's pet alien, just in case Sean sees this and wanted some context.)
My takeaway from this is that you are exploring locked-good memories from your childhood, and those shadow figures are your dark thoughts observing you as you take pictures of specific spots using a camera, capturing each fond moment that you sealed away.
an indie horror plus jack will always make me feel nostalgic just takes me back to watching so many of these yearss ago ive seriously grown up with sean and im so thankful for it
If you don't know them, Vinesauce Vinny and Joel played this a lil while ago, great channels too, but Joel has an immense fear of aliens that the dev took advantage with those alien collectibles around the levels so its fun to watch him freak out over the little aliens
The story Jack told about the kids running on the things it reminded me of when my little brother stood next to the things and just told everyone that came by "marry Christmas and stay safe" it was the cutest thing I've ever seen 😭
41:08 I like how Jackie-Boi notices all the non-obvious scares but still misses some of the obvious ones. No Matter....My OCD Is More Set off That He Missed Some Of The Jerry Aliens!!!!
I can't believe you didn't see the creepy shadow guy walk across the corridor at 41:09!! And with how much Sean talked about it in the Airport and Mall, I think he is definitely channelling his desire to go rollerblading. He aint wrong though about going around them two abandoned places on them. Sean, get yourself a pair of rollerblades mate, and go for a skate!😀👍🏻
Especially that suburb level was so awesome! I initially didn't think much of the game because of its very simplistic gameplay and initially not much going on but I was really positively surprised as I saw more of the game! There's actually a great amount of attention to detail, some of the sounds are really cool, some of the environments are really awesome, and the sneaky hidden scares and mysteries are so intriguing and fun!
Sean, I used to not be able to watch or play anything horror, but recently I've been watching a lot of your horror game videos, and I've now realized I will never be as scared as you so I feel confident watching and playing things horror related. Thank you
Ooooh, when that deep rumble started in the hotel, holy crap that made me feel uncomfortable, like, just like how Sean got goosebumps and then said he felt he wanted to be much quieter all of a sudden, i just felt a chill down my spine from the rumble, holy moly the game nails ambience and atmosphere
I like how he says he can't think of a worst place to work than an airport then proceeds to have tons of separate fantasies about playing in an airport
I worked at a high traffic airport for a year. He is kind of right. It was really mind numbing dealing with all the people because it really exposed me to just how much of humanity is pretty dumb. "do you know where the bathrooms are? (uh...the sign is right next to me) Do they sell water? (uh...the water is literally on display right behind the cashier they are looking at). A lot of people blindly wandering around and not using their eyes. Thank god employees had their own metal detector line for most terminals, otherwise i would have gone crazy.
Regarding the Vine arcade: Vinesauce is actually a collective of streamers, but Vinny is known as vinny Vinesauce and he's considered the frontman. I'll list/explain some of the aspects of this room, as many as I can spot 1:31:34 is Meat, whos a running gag character in his media. It originated from an old AOL commercial about a lonely earthworm who got split in two by a gardener with a shovel, and then he had a friend! The earthworm in the commerical was a fully built puppet. Vinny introduced it via a meme about meat beating, and eventually meat became a recurring character. At one point he got what I can basically summarize as a facerig/vtuber model of meat which he used once. Meat says yeow as a sort of catchphrase as a voice impression Vinny makes. So that audio is actually vin's voice The alien is Norts the Alien which is another running gag character that's associated with a prop gray alien that Vinny has in his home. The mushroom with a V on it is the Vinesauce logo, and Vinesauce's main color is green, with highlight videos for anyone in the group (at least as far as I know for both Joel and Vinny) are green, stream VODs are blue, and extras and clips are usually red or purple. There were also guitars in the room which is a nod to the fact that Vinny is a musician guitarist and he's also in two man band called Red Vox! The pizza slices in the minigame are a nod to how Vinny is sort of a connoisseur of pizza and I according to my recollection, it's his favorite food(?) And he is also known by a nickname of Vinny PizzaPasta. Vinny is also the one that the "SPEEN" warbly audio that gets paired with the spinning image of a crocodile, originated from. It's one of his most common and popular vocal gags. I will likely have to play the game myself if I were to be able to find all the references. But vinesauce collective has been around for over a decade now and there's tons of content from them, and they've been a fixture in my youtube subscriptions since High school.
A game like this where it's just going around and taking pictures in liminal spaces where things might be a little spooky is so my jam! Reminds me of a time years ago when I was taking pictures of an old mill and a couple of those pictures turned out to be kinda liminal. Also, winter can definitely feel liminal at times. There's this one album that lives in my head rent free during the wintertime that I would totally recommend for that kind of setting/vibe- it's a signalwave album called Winter Paralysis 1-5 by CRT麻痺
God bless Sean and his editors for giving us hour long videos that are so entertaining that it actually makes me sit down for hours, even when nothing else can. I hope you’re all healthy and safe, including people reading tis : DDD
Sean talking about empty airports gives me a sense of nostalgia! When I was younger, my stepdad would take trips out of state, and my favorite thing to do was wake up early and spend time at the airport because it WAS empty! Only a few other folk waiting in this big lounging area, as well as the staff. It was so fun! It's changed a lot since covid though. You can't even walk your family to the metal detector anymore.
Just wanted to put here that I've been going through a lot of medical issues recently and have been watching your videos to recover :) thank you for making sad times into funny ones

And I’ve watched you bloom, get better at what you love doing, it’s really cool. Great job, Seán. And thank you. And Noice.
I started laughing as soon as you broke the game (somewhat) with that wet sign. The pool part in the hotel was really soothing and memorizing as well. It makes you want to take a seat and observe the beauty from within the waters. ♥ This was a creepy, yet interesting game. I enjoyed this a lot. Thanks for playing!
A full game play through of an amazing game by Sean? Best thing ever. Loved the suburb and the movie theater level. They were so aesthetically pleasing. The vine quest game at the end was fun. Very interesting and fun game. Jerry was the best character.
3 things I learned in this video: 1. Never work at an airport. 2. Bring roller blades with you everywhere 3. Bring a camera into bathrooms just incase you meet an extra terrestrial named Jerry who’s ready for his closeup
I remember being 13-14 watching happy wheels videos while I stayed up late on school days, now I'm 18 watching jack instead of sleeping for work, enough to make a grown man cry

i think the beauty of games like these is that it’s completely up to interpretation. whether you think it’s just exploring or whether you’re linking it to a deeper meaning, it’s all subjective and i love that
This is hands down one of the prettiest looking and most chill games Jack has played in a while
Hearing Sean's little stories going though each places really is cozy 😶
He has all these stories because he works there
That’s so sweet that Seán rented out the theater for Evelien’s birthday so she could see her favorite horror movie on the big screen! 💕💕 I wish theaters in the US did this!
I know some theaters have the option to rent out at certain times in the US, they were advertising it near where I live
There's one near where I live that does it, so theaters here do do it, you've just gotta do some research to find out where :)
I've been to a theater that had the option to rent it out but I don't remember where in the US it was
…. They do.
The US does have this, just not all theaters offer it.
Some of Jack's best videos come from him just playing an entire indie game in one video and enjoying the hell out of it.
Love it when jack just gets so excited for these kinds of games it really shows he loves playing these games
Yeah and he's good at it
The “I work here 🙂” bit is now my new favourite thing to say when I go to work. The tiny bit of sarcasm is just 😂
The being watched thing - That was one of my favourite parts of The Haunting of Hill House, noticing your first ghost and realizing they were hidden around the whole time.
I LOVE that first season. So good. So original.
Same for me, I think the first time I saw one was episode 4 😅@@bubblegumnnebula

Interesting how Sean is so trigger happy to capture a Jerry, but when he sees a shadow person right in front of him he would never snap a photo of them. Never.
I love how the only time Sean got legit scared is when he heard a fart with a reverb in a bathroom. I think he just didn't realize what it was. 😄

That last part is depressing.
You're so real for that, thats exactly what I do Gab is for chill vibes Jack, Jay and the game grumps are for energy and laughs

Sean catching the Vinesauce room is hilarious after watching Vinny on my own for so long lmao.

When you first said "The She Beast," Alice adding in her commentary, "You called?" made me laugh. 🤣 I love her

Watching Sean go down the snowy pedestrian path, the fenced off one near the tunnel, gave me some real N64/PS1 era shooter game type vibes..
Sean, I used to not be able to watch or play anything horror, but recently I've been watching a lot of your horror game videos, and I've now realized I will never be as scared as you so I feel confident watching and playing things horror related.
Thank you
Absolutely LOVING these longer playthroughs
41.28 "There's nothing really around to scare me."
41.08 Completely misses dude crawling at the end of the hall directly in front of him
Ooooh, when that deep rumble started in the hotel, holy crap that made me feel uncomfortable, like, just like how Sean got goosebumps and then said he felt he wanted to be much quieter all of a sudden, i just felt a chill down my spine from the rumble, holy moly the game nails ambience and atmosphere
Regarding the Vine arcade:
Vinesauce is actually a collective of streamers, but Vinny is known as vinny Vinesauce and he's considered the frontman. I'll list/explain some of the aspects of this room, as many as I can spot
1:31:34 is Meat, whos a running gag character in his media. So that audio is actually vin's voice
The alien is Norts the Alien which is another running gag character that's associated with a prop gray alien that Vinny has in his home.

A full game play through of an amazing game by Sean? Best thing ever. Loved the suburb and the movie theater level. They were so aesthetically pleasing. The vine quest game at the end was fun. Very interesting and fun game. Jerry was the best character.

Every time the road was resurfaced and fixed I always told my parents, “I would love to roller blade on this.”
The moment Sean grabbed that camera I also thought of cry of fear.
That memory is really rooted in us.
3 things I learned in this video:
1. Never work at an airport.
2. Bring roller blades with you everywhere
