In addition to all the skills that you have acquired at various points, I always sense that you enjoy playing and that you devote yourself to your favorite instrument. Yes! Great! SINA doing Jazz!! If you are learning to play jazz…girl you have learned it with ease! Love your stick work on rim. The improv in Jazz is so special. You have the true feel and instinct to your work. Seeing a stand up bass brings back memories to our group. Playing jazz paid for my college tuition in the day!! That was fun! Please do more! Sina thank you so much for everything that you do. I played this for my father who is an old school jazz drummer! He had a smile on his face throughout the entire song. hey Sina! Nice work! That's coming along nicely -- good independence developing in the left hand, some room yet for a bit more color variation (accents, different parts of the heads). The switch between the bossa-style rhythm and the triplet swing was interesting -- I think I'm hearing vestiges of Joe Morello in there. Looking forward to hearing you play "Take Five", and the subtle colors of "Castilian Drums" -- and such like. Sounding good!

In addition to other comments, I really liked the sidestick part of your solo. Tip: for jazz, it works well to mic the bass drum from the beater side. You'll get the dynamics of the beater, which is often an accent rather than a timekeeping element, much better controlled by a jazz player than a rock player ;-). As a bonus, you'll get some sound from the snares themselves. You might have to flip the polarity of the mic to avoid partial cancellation of the snare when mixed. I love your progress, month after month, year after year. You might like Rick Beato's recent interview with Dave Bendeth, where they talk about moving from rock to jazz and how it affects them playing rock.

Hi 👋 Sina, for a moment I thought you were going to play with Joan Chamorro because I saw the bald guy in the presentation picture.
It’s rather obvious that a musician as good as you are can’t get “trapped” in the “rock and nothing more” room (no matter how beautiful it is) and starts the jazz/fusion journey that is more self rewarding, once getting at your level. I recently listened to Simon Phillips playing in n trio with Hiromi Hueara and Antony Jackson….oh men you can’t tie the genius into popular music leashes. I love pop music, rock, progressive (that sometimes is hard to understand for my poor music knowledge). But you and them are infinite capacity musical sponges who can absorb all the shades and contaminations of the world.
Ah, what an incredible musician you are.

I know that some Jazz-oriented players like to make out like Rock/Pop drummers are a cut below them as musicians, but that's a load of ****. In the end all that matters is if you and your band have a nice groove going on and you serve the song and performance, not which Music Deity you bow down to. In the end we're all doing the same thing. Or at least that's how it should be. Sina, that was wonderful, Thank You!

Sina, you have the creative heart and soul for Jazz. It lets you go on creative solo's when it's your turn and you really could feel the Jazz club mood that you set. Marius has a great voice and he can tickle the ivories so smoothly. Jasper really complimented and played the double bass that blended so well with your drums and Marius's piano. Extremely well done and a Merry Christmas Sina!!

Sina is a drummer; period. Genres don't mean anything to this woman. She plays well regardless of the music presented to her.
    Ausgezeichnet, Sina, und Fröliche Weinachten!
