@@xy769 Rien orisa and winston are main tanks. Hammond, at least for me, its kinda a mix of both. Normally what people say a main tank needs is a shield, but hammond's is personal and more for him. His mobility makes me lean more to off-tank, because he doesn't need to play with the team all the time like orisa or rien. I think im situations he could be considered a main tank, if you use your shields to block certian things ect, but yeah I'd say rien, Orisa and winston are your main tanks.

If anyone is trying to improve their orisa halt game play against a team with a rein. Be patient when activating halt so that it goes far behind the rein and only grabs a backline enemy. This will stop the rein from being sucked up and shielding the hog hook.
Sty, you really need to preview your videos before you analyze them. Using these games where they absolutely stomp the enemy team really are kinda pointless.

I recently got out of being hardstuck in silver, I have never had anyone talk in my past silver games, now in high silver and gold I finally have team communication this hopefully means I can continue to climb the ladder.

I would say at 8:32 when he threw out hook, it could have been a read on the Rien dropping shield. I do this sometimes as you can guess when the Rien identifies he can get a cheeky fire strike or its about to break. Could have not been a 900 iQ play. However it is something I do when I'm playing hog vs Rein. But only when the fight is in our favour.

Problem with halting a Rein is that you pull up his shield as well so you won't be able to hook. Syncing up with Orisa is vital but pointless in that moment.

damn he needs to work on those hooks, he got lucky with some of his hooks (18:53) but for the most part he needs to take his time and track the enemies movement then *lead* his hook, felt like he was just spamming hook everytime it was off cooldown
No matter how many videos I watch of you coaching and me seeing my replays i can never get out of gold because no one wants to communicate. They never go to voice chat and when someone talks they leave team voice chat right away so it's a struggle to play overwatch for me.

@@chad5115 there is actually a roadhog tech that I call "walk-up-hook" where you move slightly forward and aim on their head while you hook them and they are still stunned. If they have cooldowns to escape or stun you you have less time to execute this. This will result in more pellets connecting to the head, dealing up to 360 (hook 30 + 300 scrap gun + 30 melee) damage if the hitbox allows it to and placed absolutely perfect. Always bait wraith before hooking reaper because if he doesn't have it it is very easy to land a full walk up with his generous head hitbox. If he does have wraith the timing is very strict but still doable. Ana is also a hero many hogs complain about but with this she can never survive a hook without shield buffs.
Been watching for 3:30 now and my body just started to iching like hell. In the Silver and Gold I use comms every game to try get the halt hook combo work but they must be really "behind in development" in theese tiers. =) =(

idk why but as soon as I got to diamond the movement of the enemy changes, and making me really hard to hook. Like when they see me as a hog coming, plat player would try and move to cover making their movements predictable and easy to hook, but diamond players just moves more out and dance around
10:05 he uses breather so he could get ult and engage, he had 259 heath when he hit the button and the nano came in keeping him from getting his ult... you can even hear him get frustrated after he gets nano-ed, it’s actually a pretty good play when you take a step back, you know Ana has her nano so you don’t need to let her waste resources on you, you need ult charge and you have 3 grouped up in the room, so you breather go in, maybe she nanos you after and makes it an even bigger play... idk sty personally I think it was 900 iq *shrug*
Funny enough he actually uses it badly twice latter after they reset post nano, he now has ult and his Ana doesn’t have nano, he could let her just spam shots in to his fat hit box and get her nano back in seconds considering she’s standing right there but opts to use it twice instead loosing the cool down, but that’s just what I see
i have to sympathize at 15:15 sometimes when im 1v1 against rein with his shield up and no help from either side, (not entirely the case here), but i hesitate to shoot his shield because i know hes gonna bash my brains out or charge me at this distance when i start to reload, forcing me to waste my breather. if i can bait out a firestrike or make him attack i know for sure i can hook him and get some damage in. hes going to instinctively react with the shield and back down when he knows i havent taken damage. which i jump into and and blow off his head and use heals if i absolutely need to. i dont think this was a off moment i think he was just being careful and thinking about what to do. Someone correct me if thats not the best way to handle it. im just saying i get it. lol

U can oneshot reaper as hog. No problem
Cloudu JustRight sometimes but usually I throw a right click at him before hooking because if he shoots you after the hook he will heal.

Make him a little bit damage with right click before hook him, that will secure the kill,
