Great video as always, mate. However, I think a deeper conversation beyond stats and skills should be held when comparing players' abilities. This is especially true when we're talking about manga whose entire premise is about ego (which, in simple terms, I'd narrow down to self-perception or protagonism) being the key determinant of performance. In BL, it seems that skills and evolutions/awakenings are gained more from insight and changes in egoism just training, so that should be taken into account as well. With that in mind, when comparing players, I'd say skills and stats, whilst very important, a deeper comparison would also look at translation and replicability of said stats and skills on the pitch (which is consistency), and, we've seen that ego is what governs consistency because it is what governs a player's usage of skills. For example, most of Isagi's technical skills dont really stand out, but they're made way more dangerous because of how they're used. Do you remember how Kira* (that U19 player) lost in that tag match despite being most skillful player in the Z strata? So for me, Ego + Skills + Consistency = Overall Ability. That being said, I think Shidou is better than Kunigami. In fact, I think Kunigami is the lesser version of Shidou. Both have self-sufficient playstyles where they can get goals by themselves, both are penalty box strikers, both rely (almost obsessively on their instincts and physical abilities than their minds), both have very distinct and difficult to stop shots. Both their other plays are average, if not mediocre, but their ability in the box is INSANE. The main difference, however, I'd say, it's the depth/types of their egos/protagonisms. Whilst they both are goal-obsessed and seek a way of individual dominance through their own abilities, Shidou is more entitled to passes whilst Kunigami literally tries to make his performances as individualistic as possible. He doesn't care whether or not he receives a pass and will score from literal scraps on the pitch. That side of his ego was present since the 1st Selection (scoring rebounds, shooting from distance etc) but I think it was actually stifled by his "hero protagonism" that made him try and fit himself into other people's ideas (Isagi and Reo). This "hyena hero" ego is an improvement in my opinion because it refines his off the ball movement and spatial awareness (I mean, his offensive sense is already S Tier, so you know he's always ready to pounce on any stray ball). He's almost always around the attacking areas where the ball finally arrives. Shidou's off the ball movement, whilst INSANE (possibly the best in BL), is kinda a double-edged sword. His movement is so insane that he can destroy an opponent team's defensive shape (to put this into context, Isagi mostly waits for "the state of the field to change" or for chaos to exist in order for him to thrive). But it also breaks his team's patterns. So he kinda needs very specific passers to link up with him for him to play at his best (not that he can't get goals by himself). So the difference with Kunigami is that Kunigami proves himself by capitalising on other people's plays (literally getting the end product of other players' ideas) rarely interfering or creating his own plays. Shidou, on the other hand, destroys the entire state of the pitch (literally making the field a blank page) and then instinctively reacts to his team's creativity. Also, I disagree that Kunigami doesn't accept passes. He just hasn't been receiving them. This kinda makes him even more amazing, considering that he only received 3 passes (if we're counting Isagi's bad shot) throughout the NEL. THREE!!!! For a striker, that's 💩 supply, and yet he's managed to get 2 goals and bump up his value to 50m with his other abilities. Worse off, the logical Noa doesn't substitute him because, he's the only one amongst strikers that's rarely interfering with others plays. I also find it quite a compliment when BL's best dribbler leaves his own stratum in hopes of improving by training against you.
@@tanatswamakara4700 ofc lol I would just have him aggressively fire that cannon of a leg whenever lol I feel like he’s trustworthy ~35m out. Or just launch into the opp half-space, Shido will get it fursure 😝

I have to say your Reo overpowered Shidou take is such an L. As someone who played football as a striker since I was 3 years old I can say there is nothing you can do with strength if a defender positions himself like that behind you without using a one-two-pass to break away and run around the defender…and I think I should know this being 1,90m tall and 83kg heavy with a body trained throughout 19 years of my lifetime xD And let’s be honest I think Shidou‘s dribbling is probably way better than we thought because we never really saw it but I don’t think in the second selection he just won that game or made a goal against the world 5 with just receiving a pass. And I am pretty positive Shidou will awaken against Barcha and make a hattrick of his own because narratively it wouldn’t make sense if Rin‘s bid would rise much more over Isagi’s as it is now and it would also fit Shidou’s character narrative to awaken against the team from the country being advertised with the two attributes of creativity and exciting football which is what he seeks for. Not to forget Sae actually gave him his private number after the U20 game which could be foreshadowing and a hattrick against La Real‘s domestic league arch nemesis Barcha would be a great way to make a case for himself as an less costly alternative to Kaiser as well as giving us a cool narrative of him getting slighty higher value than Isagi so that Isagi can really surpass both symbolically like in the third selection but this time it not being a fluke anymore. Would honestly be a waste by the author if it doesn’t play out like that because it gives the most opportunities to future stories involving the Champions League.
I didn't play football professionally so i wouldn't have known, i went with the narrative because when Niyu did it to Nagi they were commenting on how he overpowered him with his muscle mass and power in that position
@@ACE_Lock it’s not that much about strength because literally pressing yourself against someone in this position limits basically any possible movement apart from going straight forward away from the defender at least one step.
you cant be a "Lone striker" in football, especially when you act like a dickhead infront of everyone. Bayern munich has a problem with disagreements with one another, so you end up with sub groups. Kunigami has 2 playmakers (hioir and isagi) on his team. Had he learnt how to play with his team in order to score, we would see him perform much better. Also your point was good about aryu keeping an eye on kunigami. But deep down, they know that no one would pass to him. They only made sure that he wasn't free, especially if there was a loose ball.

In my opinion I think shidou could win against Kunigami but if Kungami could win because of his physical stats and etc while shidou is rellay good in the penalty box shooting and best player I might seen
Don’t forget Shidou will have improved as well because I don’t think that Rin will be the only one with a huge upgrade(or even hattrick) going into the last game because Shidou and Rin were basically somewhat equal pre NEL.
You can`t say kuni was not accepting passes he was alway looking for a pass and the reason he doesn`t give passes is because he is the damn striker and be for real if isagi actually pass the ball he would just want it back to score because there was many times where kuni would have scored if he got the damn pass but they just want to suck kaiser and isagi am i wrong that man could shot from outside the box.

I like how the intro was Gojo vs Sukuna
Kunigami put Shidou behind bars
Kunigami is locking down Shidou rn
I'd be Quiet he scored 1 goal and stole Another meanwhile shidou stole none and scored twice as Manny 💀
Great post! I believe Kunigami has potential as a destroyer-type dmf, also as a Segundo Volante
@noa4038 yeah definitely. But he's not the type to give up scoring😂😂😂
@@tanatswamakara4700 ofc lol I would just have him aggressively fire that cannon of a leg whenever lol I feel like he’s trustworthy ~35m out. Or just launch into the opp half-space, Shido will get it fursure 😝
@@noaworldTM definitely😂😂😂😂
I like The ego point and i did it for Barou and Nagi so i will try and do it for evrey coming match up
well this didn't age well .
W Video as usual
Shidou is a BEAST. Tbh I dont see Kunigami vs Shidou being fair in any way, Kunigami would be destroyed
unfortunately for you, kunigam got his position changed to dm and shidou got absolutely shut down and destroyed by kunigami
wild card >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> wild stupid demon
@@sheenakr7616 sorry what? Kunigami just stopped him once. He is mot destroying or dominaring anyone
@@marceloasensiofilho3833 shidou didn't get 1 pass through in the next 2 chapters too(I haven't read the latest chapters so idk what happens after 3 chapters where shidou is completely shut)
Am In a Totally Frezy Right Now I Don't know who Would Win Kunigami Is Strong And Shidou is Good at Analysing Player's By Just Looking at them And knows how to Beat there Strongest Weapon like for Kunigami Physics Was Useless Against Him But After he's "Wild Card" Arc Shidou Might have Some Trouble
Maybe the old Shidou but I‘m pretty sure he will get a huge upgrade….wouldn’t make any sense that someone on Rin‘s level pre NEL wouldn’t improve.
So without plot honestly no chance in my opinion.
Kuni well win it’s plot because he’s one of the main four characters and probably gonna link up with Jin
Maybe but he needs to get rod of the lone wolf mentality otherwise he can't
Chgiri vs Bachira next plz
Baby you know it
“Kunigami vs Shidou isn’t close”
*goes onto explain how either of them could win*
The title isjust for the algorithm then i unbiasly asses each player and see who comes on top
First and congrats for hitting 2k 🎉❤
Thank you my G, really appreciated
Whats up with the Rengoku music in the background xd
It's Akaza's actually and it's one of the best OSTs out there
Something I Realise When Reading All The Matches in the NEL Arc Kunigami Has been Scoring with he's Right Foot Only (Other When Isagi Forced Him into Flow In the FC Barcha Game to Score the Winning Goal) And he Told Him Isagi About if he Tries to Be Ambidextrous He's "Strength" will Decrease Being he's Right Leg Direct Shot and Kunigami is only using he's Right So Kunigami Might be Killing he's Own Talent...Am just Saying
Killed what talent? He lost in the 2nd selection lol. He had to become ambidextrous to survive in the Wild Card, this is such a weird take
@@cooperelt1299 😎 It is what it is 🤣👍
@@cooperelt1299this guy s crazy to say, just because he lost dont mean he didn’t have talent. Reo lost with him and we see how good reo is now. Shidou at that time was just a more complete player, hed dominate most players at that time in a 2v2
NEL Kunigami only has 2 goals… 1 with left, 1 with right knee
@@SomeStuffNLH Right Knee.... Bro What
"definetly shidou" first cap man xd
Sry but why does everyone say Shidous dribbling sucks? In the third selection Isagi was amazed at Karasus defense and said something line "He was even able to stop Shidous powerfull dribbling!" while no one ever said the opposite really
Isagi never said such thing, and karasu literally stated shidou is mediocre at dribbling and playmaking.. he excels more at off the ball movement and his athleticism..
@@mycrooo6841 chapter 98 page 2
"Incredible.. He's fast enough to respong to shidos powerfull dribbling"
My only mistake it that it didnt refer to Karasu but Otoya blocking shido.
And no Karasu never said that about shido but thats close to what he said about Isagi so you are prbly mistaning it with that.
@@mycrooo6841 Karasu didn’t say mediocre 💀 he said 2nd rate… 1st rate is best-in-class, 2nd rate means good

Funny thing that people don’t pay attention to is who was the one to beat shidous team of 3 in the 2nd selection because he was playing in the 2 vs 2’s, I wonder who beat his team?
im pretty sure there is this one player called next messi in blue lock, he is rn in barcha as a sub, so i guess he must be the secret op guy who keeps on messing up these op players without every getting any screentime
also mind that according to isagi when he first entered blue lock that messi guy is one of the best players there
@@sheenakr7616 yeah that’s a good point and I could see shidou like seeing the barcha game going on and seeing him and getting really mad,
Also I think shidou gets kicked out of blue lock and signs with Real Madrid. Just a theory due to his recklessness and it’s been foreshadowed early
bro if he does he would be with Sae and u already know how deadly that is
shidou no diffs kuni
I have to say your Reo overpowered Shidou take is such an L. As someone who played football as a striker since I was 3 years old I can say there is nothing you can do with strength if a defender positions himself like that behind you without using a one-two-pass to break away and run around the defender…and I think I should know this being 1,90m tall and 83kg heavy with a body trained throughout 19 years of my lifetime xD
And let’s be honest I think Shidou‘s dribbling is probably way better than we thought because we never really saw it but I don’t think in the second selection he just won that game or made a goal against the world 5 with just receiving a pass.
🔥🔥🔥
I didn't play football professionally so i wouldn't have known, i went with the narrative because when Niyu did it to Nagi they were commenting on how he overpowered him with his muscle mass and power in that position
@@ACE_Lock it’s not that much about strength because literally pressing yourself against someone in this position limits basically any possible movement apart from going straight forward away from the defender at least one step.
Can't wait to see NEL Shidou. Also I would love to see Hero Kunigami come back instead of emo kunigami.
Well Noel Noa made sure to order Kunigami to marked him technically Kunigami did it.
this makes me think igaguri would win against noel noa, christiano ronaldo, messi, and julian loki
I just wanna know in the 3rd selection shidou was on 2v2 where they met so who defeated him
He got a red card after attacking his opponents because they were weak
And so Igaguri was vs 3
Zesty demon will destroy fallen shit
you cant be a "Lone striker" in football, especially when you act like a dickhead infront of everyone.
100% man, while making the video i thought of how much Kunigami would have been an insane striker if he was just okay with playing for the logical win
Kunigami cooking like if u play soccer youll understand how good a physical all kunigami needs is contact simple and saying shidou already beat bro means nun cause I bet he can’t beat Noel Nao the person kunigami is forged to be like
unfortunately this BL and it doesn't hold to IRL football that much
@@ACE_Lock true
bro said kuni v shidou is the biggest rivalry 💀
It is yeah the one with the biggest history
sad kunigami long range shot didn't improve
do you think kunigami will get his revenge?
His revenge needs to be vs Ego lol
Ikr lmao
@@ACE_Lock I think Kunigami hasn’t said anything to Isagi about ts bc he knows he’s drinking Ego’s koolaid. I’ll bet by the end of the series we view Ego differently than we do now
Shidou was able out muscles pre wild card kunigami stop downplaying him
In my opinion I think shidou could win against Kunigami but if Kungami could win because of his physical stats and etc while shidou is rellay good in the penalty box shooting and best player I might seen
Ichigo if he didn't meet rukia 💀
I think if its a 1v1 kuni wins but if its a 11v11 shidou wins
Shidou will not play for japan . He will go play with itosshi rin team instead.
his lonewolf mentality is not the problem. From how it is going rn pxg has a higher chance of winning imo not because of Shido fr
