ABOUT CHICAGO PD

Voight is such a tragic character. His father died in the line of duty, his wife died, his twin sons died, his surrogate daughter left, his best friend (Al Olinsky) died. Voight is the modern Michael Corleone for all the evil he did in the name of good, he paid a very high price for it.

Jason’s twin was stillborn. It was also a girl. Voight shared this with Lindsey a few seasons back

Voight killed the guy who murdered his son, of course he would kill this guy anyway. Al was his best friend, and this is how he avenged Al's death.

PRHILL9696 I don’t know where you hear this stuff from. People not getting punished for crimes is not as common as you believe. If someone doesn’t get punished, maybe it’s because the justice system wants to rehabilitate them so they won’t have to waste more tax money on putting them in prison. Our nation already has the highest prison population in the world. You have any better and humane ways to deal with prisoners? And we were not even talking about criminals. We were talking about crooked cops. And crooked cops are not good guys.
This country doesn't protect rapists and murders, it protects civil rights and liberties. If some people take advantage of those rights, then that is the price to pay for living in a free country. Our justice system may not be perfect, but it's the best there is. If you want nothing but order and safety you can go live in China where human rights have no place. I am not gonna defend crooked cops because they made an oath to obey and enforce the law and breaking them makes them just as bad as the people they lock up. Even worst because they are using the law to pursue their own agenda. They think what they did was right? So does every other killer and rapist.
No I don't. I just don't see any other way to deal with them that doesn't make us look monsters. You can't have it both ways.

I don't think Al died. I mean all the other main character that did died had their bodies shown. We never saw Al after the hospital. Maybe he told the doctor to lie to get Hank out of the Woods situation.

Al can't be dead. His wife wasn't even at the hospital. But she was at court. No way his wife would not be by his side. Another thing.. Last thing that came out of Al's mouth..to Hank 'I got this'. If you noticed. When they first brought him in full of blood, they took him to the operating table. By the time Hank got to the hospital. Al was out of surgery all cleaned up.. When he said 'I got this'.. Well see next season...crossing my fingers. Al is the best..... bring him backkkk..

His wife not being there made no sense as well as other things the first 5 minutes of the show. Maybe I just hoping. But I am sure CPD left this totally open to bring him back. If Criminal Minds can do it.. So can CPD......CPD figure this out and bring Al back... Not rocket science. Al Hank and Trudy.....soul of this show.. Woods... went down... hat off to Hank..
