Voight is so broken in this episode. Everytime he tries to help Al, something happens that messes up his efforts. You can tell just his facial expressions and body language he feels like he is letting his friend down. It is such great acting.
It’s probably one of the only episodes of the show where Voight is just genuinely beaten. Nothing he does works. Not of his usual tactics work. It all catches up to him here, and he completely fails and breaks apart. One of the most sobering episodes of the entire show.
It is a heartbreaking episode! I thought the connection between Voight and Olinsky was brilliant. It would have been the same if it was Voight on the line x

Shawn Taylor unfortunately that won’t happen as Sophia Bush left on her own and wanted to leave as disliked actor Jason Beghe and his behavior on set and the work conditions including the cold weather in Chicago . She left at end of 4th season and is moving on to other projects.
It's pretty typical! If the prosecution asks for "NO BAIL," they normally get it unless it seems really unreasonable like for littering or jaywalking! Cops don't get a pass for murder if there's evidence just because they're cops! He shouldn't have been in general population that's for sure! ;-(
Marcheal Gideon The lawyer messed up. He was trying to argue how weak the case is when he should have been arguing how little of a flight risk Al posed.
Exactly 💯... I loved how at first his daughter used him just for money. Omg I love that relationship. He was sooo gentle with her as he new he was being used for his wallet. Come back Al, pls.... !!!!!!

Wykeisha Craft the judge was real but she was corrupt as was Denny Woods who switched the judge who was supposed to do the case who was going to help Olinsky. Woods wanted to appoint a judge that could bury Olinsky and give him no chance of getting out of prison. Woods wanted to get back at Voight and ruined Alvins career but wanted to take down Voight. Woods almost had Voight until Woods made mistake of bribing a witness and Woods was finally arrested.
Watch yourself seems to be a thing with Voight. I think it is his way of saying walk it back before you say or do something that can not be undone! The whole team knew that Voight killed Kevin Bingham, but they knew it was smart to play dumb x

I'm just getting into this show and going crazy playing catch up with missing episodes then I see THIS! As a woman of a certain age, the appeal of this show, is watching Voight and Olinksy. These two tough, seasoned "old heads" WORK IT! Now I am confused and angry.

Before this show is over, there will be a scene in black in white. Like someone’s memories of the things he had to do, the roads he drove and the ship he took. At the end I want to see Al wearing sandals in a beach somewhere in the “Caribe” having a margarita. He deserve that.
Antonio just wanted to help Voight being the stubborn guy he is needs to accept that he can’t fix this on his own. And Al is getting screwed because of it.
Connie Games, I will miss Al as well, but the writers said they had to find a way for Voight to pay for murdering Bingham and this will truly hit him harder that if it was direct punishment

they made this show to show that there no hope in the world if you do it by the book there no justice but if you dont do it by the book and broke rules to save a life your own goverment betrayed you its no hope either way even if its a veteran police officer work to protect the streets for 30 years soon or later one little mistake they throw you in jail without retirement pension

The producers said that Voight had to pay a price for killing Bingham. It was a way for Voight to have a catharsis about how his actions have consequences. So that he could take steps to truly change. But I really want for Al to come back, as if he was in witness protection or something.

Corrupt officer Denny Woods wanted to bury Voight and took down Al to get at Voight. Alvin Olinsky was arrested in season 5 for murder which is why he is in prison suit and chains. Denny Woods had the judge switched so Al would stay in prison by talking with the Mayor.

Denny HATED Voight so much that even if a person was remotely close to him, he was going to make sure they were punished. He had no beef with Olinsky whatsoever. He was willing to make that man go to jail just to hurt Hank… I hated to see Al like this.

They wrote him off. It was Alvins time. The creators of P.D. wanted Voight to face real consequences for his choices. Now he lost his best friend and one of few he respect and looks up to.
Antonio is a boxer; he can handle himself. Olinsky is in prison because of what Voight did in the first place. Everyone on the team has a right to question what is going on. Why be mad at that? Voight was ignoring them and not being upfront with them. And if I recall, there were several members of the team questioning Voight's actions throughout this episode including Atwater.
Yes it was Mykelti Williamson who went from playing Bubba in Forrest Gump in 1994 and Sergeant Drucker in Heat in 1995 to playing corrupt Denny Woods in Chicago PD.

Denny HATED Voight so much that even if a person was remotely close to him, he was going to make sure they were punished. He had no beef with Olinsky whatsoever. He was willing to make that man go to jail just to hurt Hank… I hated to see Al like this.

They say that the producers allow Jason Beghe (Voight) to get away with pretty much anything. And that pisses the others off
They wrote him off. It was Alvins time. The creators of P.D. wanted Voight to face real consequences for his choices. Now he lost his best friend and one of few he respect and looks up to.

Antonio is a boxer; he can handle himself. Olinsky is in prison because of what Voight did in the first place. Everyone on the team has a right to question what is going on. Why be mad at that? Voight was ignoring them and not being upfront with them. And if I recall, there were several members of the team questioning Voight's actions throughout this episode including Atwater.
