Brilliant practice amp. Have mine in my lounge and it's so easy to just pick up the guitar and play away.
Good to know you can use the stock wireless with active pickups. I read a lot of wireless systems have issues with active pickups. Rock on.
Oddly enough my syn custom s had issues with it initially, I had a strange echoey sound. Moved house and didn't use the amp for about 9 months and it's fine now 🤷
Had mine for just over 2 years now and transmitter stopped charging. Did some searching and found out the battery in it is only meant to last for 2 years and the transmitter retails at about £95 expect to pay that every 2 years if used regularly. You can get to the transmitter battery but sourcing one unless you by a 1000 of them is another matter.

Pity the amp has had so little in the way of software upgrades and new patches... Boss has abandoned us Katana Air owners. 😬
The Katana Air app is absolutely terrible! It's one of the worst pieces of software I have used in ages.
@@bingefeller It's fucking shit. The support is non-existent. It makes me sad when I see so many people demoing Katana patches that we cant put on the Air.. WTF were they thinking?

Does anyone know if you can play traditional pedals through this amp? I assume not on bluetooth but just the traditional wired way?
Yes you can with leads or if you like you can have lead from guitar to pedal, then stick the wireless dongle to the out of the pedal to connect to the amp. I've done both and it works fine :)

Anyone tell me if the metal tones are good or skip it for a better metal amp?
They are good in my experience, a bit more modern id say, if you are looking for marshall high gain kind of tone maybe try out the yamaha thr series.

I dont know about pedals but i think you can connect to a multi effect that has bluetooth like headrush or boss pocket effect

How do you save a preset
Scroll through the channel A/B banks and cycle through the colors red/orange/green. When you want to save a preset, hold down the channel button until the other one flashes and it’s saved

the thing that kills me with this amp is that it takes batteries to be portable.... really..... can't be rechargeable?

Buyer beware: high gain tones sound terrible.
When you've spent a total of 5 minutes with the product and now it's time to review it...
Don't buy K-Air, blue tooth quits working ,the effects sound tinny and rechargeable battery last 2 hrs. No support from Boss
cleans are ok..but any type of gain and it sounds like a tv is on too loud..these type of amps are terrible..trying to do many types of amps but cannot do one well..i suppose it would be thousands if it could
So you dont no how to use High Gain and an EQ do ya ?? I will tell you a secret Compressors or EQ's fix ratty sounding Gain this little amp comes with both Amazing huh ?? Imagine that Duhh LMAO at you WOW .............
