@@LaLa-qb2ps it's a great all around general purpose amp. It's not "authentic" like a tube amp, but it models a very clean sound and takes high Gain very well regardless. Thank you for the insight, very useful! I have a beginner's question. I'm a bit confused about how much power (watts) one actually needs if they want to use their amps not just at home but also at smaller gigs (like in a bar, small stage, etc.) It would be logical to think that the bigger the hall you perform in, the more watts you need. However, to my recollection, the amplified sound the audience hears almost never actually comes from the speakers of your amp. Instead, the stage will have their own power amplifier system with speakers and the musician's amp is just micophoned up or connected to the mixing console with an equivalent method. Since the microphone is placed directly in front of the guitar amp's speaker, does it even matter if it is a 5 or a 50 watt amplifier? What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.
Probably you dont need the answer, but yeah it matters, i dont know how many watts you need for gigs. But yeah the more watts the better. It will have depth even on the low settings

I bought what was popular and what was in my head many yrs ago. Little did I know then 100 watt amps are like dinosaurs now. Can do so much more with 15 wt amp these days. But nowadays amps pick me. In the last 10 yrs these amps have fell in my means for FREE or so cheap I couldn't help myself. LAB SERIES L5 FREE- PEAVEY KB60 FREE- H BENTON 15 W cab w/o amp part FREE- CRATE 15 wt practice amp FREE- PROSONIC P A HEAD. 2 JBL 15" Speak cabs, stands, cables $300-EPIPHONE slash practice amp $32. Just a bunch of cool stuff came my way. The P A also included a mic and cable. The Peavey I found with a Yamaha 88 key board and Korg M-1 musicstation and stand. Had to pay to get the Korg fixed but it's worth more than I put into it. Bought a Hotone palm sized head for the H B cab and that's real cool now.
That small Marshall looks so cute lol 😂
Very informative! You answered every question I had about guitar amps in this video. Thank you very much. 🤟🏻🤟🏻🎸

Just ordered a Fender Mustang 25w amp to go along with my Squire Affinity FMT HSS Black Burst guitar. It's my first guitar and amp and I can't wait for them to arrive! Not a bad first setup in my humble yet overwhelmed opinion. I only hope that eventually I can sound half as good as this guy lol.
Have fun!
@@joaofreitas2899 I am! It's only been a month but I can play the chorus and bridge sections of a few songs and am a lot better at picking individual strings without looking than I was at the beginning, and no longer touch strings accidentally all the time.
@@fuzzypanda1684 Awesome, keep at it. I just bought my first electric guitar, a Squier Strat. Can't wait
@@fuzzypanda1684 Hey man! Any update on how the amp and guitar are treating you? I'm looking to get into learning and want your opinion on the gear you have/had
@@santy5551 Still just have that guitar and amp, no problems thus far. Although I haven't been playing it as much as I should, but that's a "me" thing, not the equipment's fault.
How to buy an amp:

Done.
Green Gopnik I think his point is, just play the damn guitar. I get what you’re saying, I absolutely have to play an amp before buying it. But I also don’t waste too much time “perfecting my tone.” Just plug and play, most people don’t need it to sound perfect.
🤯 it’s that easy???🤯
