Long as the title doesnt have his name then its doable. Look at Yakuza. New mc and its super popular. People already love Atreus. One more solid game with Kratos n Atreus but maybe with Atreus taking the lead? It would be a good transition to a whole new beginning for Atreus

@@peanutbutterjellybean424 in gow ragnarok when atreus goes to joutenhiem it is prophesied that kratos would die. The prophecy also appears at the end of 2018. It shows kratos dead in atreus’s arms but at the end of ragnarok the one dead in his arms is odin

You forgot one thing. When he killed the god of death he then became the god of death too

The Oracle cursed having so yes it is Greek magic so therefore it is getting off of him

The Blades are physically bound to him, as a part of his body. Basically, no matter what he does, the blades can never be unbound from him the minute the chains were applied

They honestly could keep this going into different mythology pantheon's. Could see them doing at least 2 more different mythologies over the next 10-15 years maybe consisting of 4-5 games then maybe they'd kill kratos off or let him ride into the sunset & finally rest. Would be badass if his beard becomes fully white in the later games

He was actually cursed by persephone. The oracle just bound the ashes to his skin.
The ashes on Kratos' skin are testimony to his actions, the murder of his family, and the birth of Ghost of Sparta.
Next part is just my theory, or rather what I would like to see.
The curse and ashes will come off Kratos only when he accepts his sins and atones for them, becoming a better person. Only when the "Ghost of Sparta" leaves will Kratos be free from the curse.The perfect introduction to this and the light of this theory is Valhalla DLC. There, Kratos accepted his sins and became a better self. Now instead of destroying he will build. Instead of being a god killer, he is a god of hope. A beautiful ending to all this would be Kratos to seeing his first family, his wife and daughter, and them tell him that they are proud of him and that they can finally go away in peace. They won't have any anger towards him, just happiness that he is the better self that she has always seen him as.And the moment they disappear, their ashes fall off his skin. Kratos then falls to his knees and begins to cry, free from the curse and knowing that those he loved have forgiven him and are proud of him.This is what I would like to see in the next part but it's just my dream.
After Ragnarok, I would never buy another God of War game if Atreus was the main character.
I don’t think you understand how the curse works. Kratos is can’t die by age as all gods in GoW but he can still be killed by other people. The curse only applies to self killing (the s word would get me banned so I have written it that way)

Nah I absolutely loved playing at him and Kratos both of such great characters I would not mind a game fully on Atreus his story is only just beginning. He may not be the God of war, but he is the God of wars son.

Imagine biggest plot twist in all of God of war what if everything we done and played in 4 and Ragnarok never happened but was a hallucination of kratos after he died by the hands of Zeus
People are mad that their could be an Atreus game but me personally I liked his gameplay, replaying Iron Wood is tedious but overall his gameplay was solid. Playing him as an experienced Adult would be cool
he’s also over 1000 years old so his skin fading over time makes a little more sense

I would like to see a game where somehow someway atreus gets sent to past and meets the old/young Kratos...or what if Kratos or atreus becomes the villain. Kinda like last of us part 2 story. In Ragnarok Freya said when a homeland dies so does its powers that's why kratos can not use his Greek powers now .maybe this is the reason

i don't think the curse will fade away but there's another curse in kratos family which is only the son who's capable of killing his father
We only know A single God Of War and it is Kratos, if he dies the game ends
Kratos saw his death in the end of GoW (2018) they saw the phrophecy of atreus holding kratos in his hands
From what we know, when kratos killed all the greek gods their magic died alongside them, which is why kratos cannot recall any of the magic he learnt, and curses are magic so it would make sense
The course also leaves when he lets go of they’re deaths so that also affects that
Kratos might meet Jesus and then his curse will ve gone completely and forgiveness will take over. Would make a good game for a final game of Kratos

Atreus is good amd all, but he has a LOT to do before he even comes close to replacing the standards kratos has set as the main lead
it may also be because when youre in the lighter areas like midgard there is lots of snow and white/blue areas which the sun bounces off and makes him look less white

Guys been playing god of peace. Kraits on,6 got his immortality curse at the end of god of war 3 where the gods cursed him.
If Kratos dies by someone or in battle, Atreus will become A villain than a hero, but if Kratos dies in some other way, Atreus might be a protagonist.
I do have an theory in the other GodOfWar game that Kratos and Atreus fights each other either Atreus kills kratos or Kratos kills Atreus but soon after he finds out that was Atreus and commits suicide like in I believe GOW2?
Breaking news: Santa Monica will not further continue the god of war game
I feel like for kratos to die we'd need at least two more games, 1 to show us some jotun journey with atreus and a second to have us move to another mythology, then he can die. Plus, the first one is important because atreus as he is now wouldn't compare to kratos as a main character

A curse would never go away
The magic of a land dies with it, a curse is not magic, only those who cast the curse can lift it from what I know, it is impossible for Kratos to lose his curse, if anything the only reason he isn’t as pale is cause his actual skin underneath is becoming faded
Perhaps Fimbulwinter wore down the curse quite a bit like it did to his gains from 2018's GOW
Atreus would become a God and Kratos would have to kill him because of something(plot) this will re-introduce us to Kratos with his vengeful, fueled by anger version that all of us loved
I think it’s because as he gives more and more as a father to Atreus, he begins to redeem himself. After all, he does say that he seeks redemption but knows he can’t have it, and refers to himself as the god of hope. Maybe redemption is possible
