The best bit is always seeing whatever has been repaired put to good use at the end.
And literally copied
Now how bout a gun
They should send it to Lofty Persuits
That's the only reason I clicked on the video lol
I'm sure he makes homemade candy every day now
I am so glad you saved the insect and returned it to nature... Thank you. Another reason why your channel is one of my favourites.
Agree. Another reason to watch these restorations- ! 😁
Yes, I was going to say the same thing! They always do this and it's one of the reasons I keep coming back, and for the restorations obviously!
One restorer I used to watch had a spider's nest in one of their projects. Instead of taking it out like these lovely chaps do, he took a torch to it and burnt it. I was disgusted! Needless to say I don't support him anymore! respect for nature is very important to me.
I'm not gonna lie, that bit concerned me. I really hope this was found/donated locally, because if it came from too far away, that MIGHT not be a local fauna and could cause major ecological problems. Trust a Floridian, whose native fauna has been DEVASTATED by invasive species that were introduced accidentally :(
what was it anyway? some kind of millipede or caterpillar?
@@Emeraldspire1 Darkling Beetle larva most likely. Darkling beetles are pretty widespread and some species (Mealworms and Superworms) are even bred as feeders for birds, reptiles, other insects, etc. Other Darkling beetle species are kept as pets, such as the Blue Death-Feigning Beetle. All their larvae look pretty similar.
I remember seeing Rescue and Restore's version, and he did an amazing job with it. This one is a bit different and makes square pieces of candy. Lovely job you guys.
They are now required to open a vintage candy stand together.
@@BigGrabowski I can see that lol
That’s where I saw it from! I was trying to remember 😂
In the other one, he painted the gears 😬
@@superchroma I say it's reasonable because the machine were old and leaving it as it is, isn't very appealing.
So thankfull for covering the welding with protecting glass for the audience
I think he is protecting the camera sensor and specifically the camera lens from welding splatters
The camera does not capture or produce the uv light which is what damages you eyes. He is most likely doing it to protect his eyes or the camera
Why are you not wearing your PPE while watching this video?
Your not going to get welders flash from watching it on a UA-cam video
I agree, I love watching these videos, but hate the bright flash when it comes to welding. Thank you LADB!
My favorite thing to watch before bed! Such craftsmanship, it just blows me away. I appreciate the green filter over the welding bits in this video! 🙏🏻 Beautiful restoration, as always.
A go to bed time watch for me too. Very relaxing.
Lovely restoration, as always. As other have said, thank you for returning the insect (looked like a mealworm to me) back to nature. I love it that you guys do that! You're awesome!
I'm sure the local birds enjoyed it - ours love some mealworm
That was a mealworm. You should never release captive raised animals in the world because they can spread disease.
A bit big for a mealworm, probably a super worm!
It makes square candies?
The fact that you learned to make candy for the video is extremely cool. I love old candy making machines for I don't know what reason. Very cool project, my dude.
Check out "Lofty Pursuits" here on UA-cam. They're a local Florida (though not close enough to me, sadly) old-school candy maker and CLASSIC diner. They do lots of really cool candies. I really hope to visit one day, because it looks amazing.
I have watched a lot of Lofty Pursuits videos. The voiceovers are stellar on top of watching the candy get made.
Great work! Not a single extra move! Everything is clear and to the point. Excellent result! :)
Привет! Как всегда отличная работа! Интересная машинка для приготовления леденцов, только я сначала решил, что для прокатки печатных пряников! Аврелию рыжему поклон! Всем добра!
Thank you for releasing the bug! My kids were worried you'd squish him and were so excited you set him free.
Great work! Hopefully this video will take you past 1 Million milestone ✨

I had to go to the ER yesterday for an awful toothache. It's 5am and I had to take more pain killers and I saw that you posted again. I just can't get enough of these videos. They're so relaxing to me. Thank you for posting ❤️
Hope you are feeling better.
i appreciate the green lense filter whenever youre welding and it flashes bright light, makes this a lot easier to watch and see!
Another masterful restoration. I learn so many restoration techniques from your videos. Cheers.
Beautiful restoration of a nice drop roller.
I was pleased to see that you protect your camera while welding.
I’m glad these restoration projects always end with a thorough quality control procedure by Avril.
The attention to detail yall show to the antiques is remarkable and stunning looking afterwards. Great job guys.
Thank you for rescuing the little guy!
I don’t get how people shame others for restoring things that are perfectly usable. This is great content. The thing just needed repairs, but that’s the fun thing about it it being able to restore it back to a usable state.
When I was little I was just a kid I use to watch thing's like this with my dad he has passed away and any time I watch these videos it reminds me of my dad along with good memories
Cet outil a fabriquer les bonbons est magnifique ! Ce travail de restauration est de l'Art! époustouflant ! J'admire ❤️
That’s some serious two handed wire brushing 😅 Great work, it turned out brilliant 👏 Seeing something like this get a new lease of life is what makes restorations brilliant…
This just makes me think of the fine folks at Lofty Pursuits and Public Displays of Confection. Excellent work!
I really like these vids because they reinforce the idea that nothing is truly broken, just needs some TLC and it can be back to working order ❤
I love restoration projects like this, now I need to find an old candy roller.
I wish I had the machine that blasts of rust etc. I have a cast iron pot I'd like to get the rust off of. I've tried a couple of things already which helped, but didn't get it all off. One of the things I tried was the vinegar/water solution. It's still in good shape except for the rust and I don't want to throw it away. This was an interesting video. I didn't know candy rollers existed like this until I saw another one restored a little while ago. Nice job.
I have to admire the part where you released the insect into your garden. Made me smile
That was gorgeous. The smoothness of the mechanism afterwards was superlative.
Machinist extraordinaire! Might be my favorite restoration this year.
Great restoration!!..
So glad that you restored the wood handle. It has a lovely patina. Beautiful restoration piece.
Quality Control Inspector 😁
There is something very satisfying about restoring a vintage utensil and then making candy using it! Merci beaucoup! Aussi, bonjour à la Belle Avril!
I was surprised to see the wood from the handle in good enough shape to just be restored and not replaced. That is a beautiful final product in this video.
From dead to droolworthy - wonderful! ✌🏻🎨☕️
I come to see Avril! (not disappointed) I also enjoy the sand blasting and bluing processes. Nice work!
these machines have different rollers you can use that make different shapes! you might be able to find some
I'm so happy to see a new video from LADB Restoration! You guys are among my top three favorite restoration channels, and I appreciate what you do. I wait for another video that is mostly woodworking, like the wheelbarrow when you replaced damaged wood. : )
That wheelbarrow restoration was just pure art. Beautiful.
Hi
Wow what a vintage restoration! The color is of a great retro reflection!
Always so relaxing and wonderful to watch with just the work sounds.
Thumbs up for respecting nature. 🙏
Just in time to make hallowe’en candy 😁
Amazing restoration!I was looking for restoration spiritually and here I am!I love ❤️ it!Thank you for sharing!
A good restoration channel with respect for the bugs. 12/10.
I don’t know why I expected this to be an asmr with all these metal parts but it was really satisfying and relaxing to watch nonetheless
Bellísimo. Buen toque el frasco de Bonne Maman. Ya van a llegar a 900 mil. 💪🏻
Breathtaking, amazing restoration but I couldn't live with the green colour.
Now we need a candy making channel!
Your work is magnificent, very impressive 💚💛
Great work on a neat old machine!😁👍🛠️⚒️
I could watch you work all day! So satisfying to see things come back to life.
Seu trabalho é incrível 🤩🇧🇷
I really appreciate how you handled that little guy.
Ooooh, just like Lofty Pursuits uses! How delightful to watch this!
I love it when they start unscrewing the really stuck on screws to reveal the still silver color underneath with all the rust up top 🤣
Candy is dandy and so are your skills!
Fantastic as always, I see that Avril liked it also.
Oh
It's beautiful 😍
Came to see the worm, stayed cause I love watching things get cleaned
Wonderful restoration as always 🤗🤗
It never fails to amaze me where you find these wonderful examples of technology to restore.
Parabéns ! 👏👏👏
Sua técnica e método para restaurações julgo adequadas, corretas, gosto muito.
Seus vídeos são muito bem editados, sem teatralizações ridículas.
Saúde, sorte e sucesso !
🇧🇷
Always appreciate the kitty inspecting your work
I want a machine like that too. 🤩
very good work
You make wonderfully lucid videos. I never have questions about how a step was done - it is all shown perfectly clearly. And of course there is always Chief Inspector Avril.
Your restorations are always fantastic, then you actually use the item you restored and I wonder if there is anything you all can't do??? LOL Thank you for another great video!!
Awesome job you did restoring the candy roll making machine. It looks much better than before and it works like a charm as well. Great work.
Cool machine!
I was impatient to get to the end of the video just to see you guys making the candies! 😅
Seeing the little squares splashing on the table was very satisfying!

Your awesome. So talented, so detailed, so precise. And Avril is a most excellent supervisor.
This channel always delivers they just outstanding and every time I get a notification I’m straight away wanting to watch not only that this channel out of the many out there in UA-cam land have given me the confidence to for now fix things but I will eventually with confidence start my own channel and I will only hope that I am as gifted as these exceptional people many thanks guys ❤
*Same here mate. The perfect restorer. :)*

Love your videos! And thank you for taking the time to put the little bug outside :)
Brings me back to the good old days, where I didn’t exist
Не перестаю восхищаться вашей работой! Супер!
Thank you for having saved the worm 💟
very pleased that u released the little guy who hitched a ride outside :)
Lofty Pursuits fans would love this!
Excellent!
Nicely done on this old candy machine 👌
Hmm, now, a version with fish gelatine and flakes of cod...? 😹 Lovely Avril inspecting your fabulous work. And the little friend was released back into the garden. I love it.
Also the finish machining you did to the cast parts was magnificent bro. I only wish my manual milling was as good as your lathe work lol😂
So amazed and jealous of the restoration. Also truly wish I could get one if those candy presses. I miss making candy.
Watching this video with sound is very relaxing Almost fell asleep in my own dad's room
Thanks for rescuing the little millipede friend! :3
Love how you guys use the machines after you’re done restoring it
The restauration part was awesome. But actually making candy looks a lot easier in all those korean videos... ^^
Make more restorations with your father. Idk if it's his technique or how he approaches each project but I'm a fan.
Отличная реставрация и хорошая вещь!
For Avril and LADB Restoration, happy international cat day. 😺🌐
I have a cash register with glass sides and you can see all the gears when you pull the handle. It is way out of my league to fix but would love to send it to you guys to make a video on it. It's a Burroughs Class 1, Model (or style) 9. It was made in Detroit at the Burroughs main plant in 1909
Awesome restoration,I especially liked how u made candy at the end and showed us how the machine worked,so we'll done new subscriber.keep up the good work brother.i often wonder what people do with the things they repair after they made a video do u keep them or sell them on ?
I am glad you protect our eyes! I have developed closing my eyes when I think someone is wielding on a video. This machine looks great thanks to your skills!
Thats nice that you saved the bug😊
That roller was pretty far gone when you picked it up, the end result is far from perfect, but it's much better than I thought possible. Thank you for restoring these artifacts, and giving them a new life.
