T6k3n_S4x nah lol I wanted to show y’all my old sports highlights. Just to compliment the topic a little and share more about me! 😂 I know y’all want that information but I gotta throw some tp on it! 😅
I NEEDED THIS VIDEO (and was about to message you about it). I started locs during this quarantine, but also started working out consistently during quarantine...so it's been hard out here. Thanks!
Thanks bro, I'm 2 months into my journey and in the gym and/or running 5-6 times a week, lots of sweat and the first month was a struggle. After watching your video and following your suggestions my twists are holding much better and I have less itch, that peppermint/tea tree oil is my new best friend.
Oh man.... you literally came with the heat bruh... was wondering how that works with working out every week and not wash my locks..that’s been a big question before I get locked!!... way to go big dawg more of this please
I appreciate this video so much. I be in the gym like 3-5 days a week and needed to figure out how to keep these damn new twists from falling out from the sweat. Good looks man.
Damn did know you was doing em dirty like that on the field..thanks for sharing your highlights..I work construction and have to wear a hard hat every day and I use a Nike headband, it works for me
Locs are not meant to stay retwisted... It's just to help locs form and maintain their shape...until they're mature enough to not get retwisted so much.
Hey friend, excellent video. I loved your highlights. You got too much sauce!😀 the 10k is steadily approaching. Your locs are looking dope! I see that beard booming and bangin . Peace & Blessings 💚💛❤️
BIG THANKS, I will not need to worry about stressing and crying anymore. Highly respect that lane four position I see you doing your thing ✊🏿. How far did you get?
I do Taekwondo when I sweat so much during practice. My shirt and gi is always soaked when I leave and my face drips as if someone poured water on it and I'm about to get a retwist for the first time in a year. I really hope I don't ruin it. 😭
So I started my locs right before quarantine. I went with the instant Loc method, it’s been about 5-6 months I’ve been working out more avidly and am always worried about ruining mine due to over washing. Ya boy sweat sweats 😂 Is it bad to wash them after each work out? Or should I try to space my washes out? Also watched a couple vids and and instantly subscribed! Learning more and more! It’s been a wild journey so thanks for your Insight.
I wouldn’t recommend washes after each time unless your hairs able to sustain the look and feel you want. Several lockers I know in the islands wash daily with zero issues. After working out I’d recommend using products that will help give a lil relief and gently cleanse! I’ve actually made a video about this now I think about it! 😅
Hello My locs are 2weeks. May I know how to moisturize it? My loctician asked me to use spray gel whenever am going out but it make my locs to dry. I need your help
I commented on one of your old videos but hopefully you see this I have new starter locks they are short asf lmao but I wanted to know how can I grow them fast and rather wild growth oil was a light or heavy based oil. Im also a UA-camr but post different content soon I will start up a dread journey Im on week 2 with mines.
I go to a boxing gym in a warehouse where the temperature can get really high and often to hot to wear a durag/stocking cap and I’m still within 4 months of locking so it’s not really long enough for the band any advice
Know you made a vid, but any advice for ppl who have heavy flakes on washing. Have starter locks for a month and get Re-twist next week, but the flake build up is embarrassing at this point, feels like picking scabs
With dandruff it’s all determined by the products you use, your diet/ water intake, hair/scalp dryness and even genetics. Once I identified that my dandruff wasn’t a dietary issue. I made sure to use tea tree oil products as much as possible to actively combat the buildup and promote scalp health. That’s been my approach. My daily oil has peppermint and tea tree oil in it and my shampoo also has tea tree! By actively combatting the dandruff with tea tree oil, not only does it limit my dandruff, but it also proactively improves the health of your scalp as a whole. I’d try that approach and double back if tea tree oil hasn’t helped at all!
Onika the peppermint/ tea tree oil from the video does help with that! Of course this wouldn’t be a recommended long term solution. If you’re prone to excessive dandruff I would try first adjusting a few things in your diet to help identify the cause. Definitely wanna make sure you’re getting enough water! If it’s not a dietary thing I’d start by adding tea tree oil to your regiment more consistently. I used tea tree shampoo and the oils to actively combat that dandruff. (Links in bio) If you’re not seeing much relief with products you’ll definitely want to seek a dermatologist and get to the root cause of it.
If you need something really thin to place on your head under the helmet I’d recommend those little wave caps. They kind of look like stocking material, sometimes you can get them in thicker satin like material as well! That should give you enough compression to keep your hair from doing too much moving. Of course you can also use a durag if that’s not enough compression or coverage.
The problem I’ve been having is that my hair keeps standing up at football practice. I’m only one month in with the two strand twist method so that might be why. Should I just let it happen or should I wear hats to help keep it down?A lot more sweat gets in my hair though.
I would always use a shirt sleeve as a headband to help my hair lay down! Those little pantyhose looking weave caps help too! If you need that heavy duty you can definitely try the durag under the helmet!
@@oofoop777 i just practiced with my durag on and had it off for games. once my games finished i would put on the durag asap. i was getting retwists every month and washed my hair with a stocking cap on every 3-4 weeks also which helped with maintaining the locs and not having them unravel. by the time i was at the 8th or 9th month i didn’t need to wear my durag anymore when i played games cause my locs wouldn’t unravel when they got wet from water in the shower or sweating. hope this helps a lil bit family🤞🏾💯 stay locked in
@@zariswrld12 ay bro i got a question, did ur locs shrink after ur games, my season is about to start and i can’t have my locs shrinking after ( i’ve been locd for 3 months)
@@jaylenwilliams3739 after games my starter locs would just be soft since they weren’t mature yet and hollow so touching them would make the coils try to unravel and all that. they did shrink after like 5 months tho cuz they started to actually lock up but don’t worry bout your hair during your games bruh, only times they’ll shrink is after a retwist or wash

How much times a week would you use the peppermint and tea tree oil product spray.
A lot! 3-5 times a week 😅
My last question is I know you were an athlete so would you wash your hair every 2weeks or what would you recommend.
Lol 😂 we want da funk
Hello
My locs are 2weeks. May I know how to moisturize it? My loctician asked me to use spray gel whenever am going out but it make my locs to dry. I need your help
Thanks
Did you wash your hair after every workout? Or did this routine, showercap on wash your body and you out?
Is ok to tie your hair up or put it in a rubber band while working out.....if we do so will the sweat still affect dreads?????
That's what's up. Got that football footage going hard. Made me think of boys in the hood. No disrespect at all. You running that field though.

Can you moisturize your starter locks with a spray bottle or just use tea tree oil or peppermint oil?
I’ve got starter locks but also do jiujitsu twice a week and don’t want to retwist that often, should I let them unravel and do spot retwists?
Are you able to use bands to help absorb moisture with jiujitsu? Or head coverings? How many are unraveling?
TP locks mostly the back and sides, was thinking about using bands so might try that so the parts are secure
Rubber bands I mean, but reluctant to use them as thought they would be hard to get out?

In terms of the oils. Should these be applied after every single workout? If I workout daily, does that mean I should oil my hair every day?

Onika it can also be the shampoo you use. I used to get bad dandruff but when I started using a different shampoo that helped tremendously.
