Siddharth is the most commercially successful director out of all of them. See his filmography on boxofficeindia and you'll see he has not made a single flop film. Yes he makes masala movies which you don't like but that doesn't mean masala film directors shouldn't be invited. I loved the way he talked here. Zero diplomacy and very frank answers.
First of all, most, if not all, YRF directors are not "film maker"..... Aditya Chopra is behind all the creative decisions....the director is just to manage day to day tasks. So if u see a director who hasn't moved out of yrf, well his capabilities are doubtful. For instance, Kabir Khan. He is good, made Bajrangi Bhaijaan, one of Salman Khan's good film, outside YRF. Now look at this Siddharth Anand, all movies under YRF and all shit movies. I recently watched War & was surprised since its fairly good movie. I wasn't expecting this. But then I saw this : Screenplay : SHRIDHAR RAGHAVAN.
Nothing insightful about filmaking here. Just a bunch of lame questions like how many cups of tea they drink on set. Seriously! That's all they could come up with?
But even here they are asking stupid questions like how many cup of coffee or tea do you drink.... and then everyone has to answer that stupid question....
