@@khusidas31 u me aur was a flop n nobody appreciated it. Better we dont talk about bollywood awards as they dont go to deserving ppl. She got awards after marriage for K3G n Fanaa both had her in simple typical roles which anybody could have done. The year K3G came, Karisma gave a much better performance in Zubeidaa but she only won the Critics award ( which again is nonsense to have popular n critics best actress ). The year Fanas came Kareena did a fab job in Omkara but it was a flop so i guess thats y Kajol won. The fact that Sridevi didnt win best actress for English Vinglish says all about awards in India.

I mean like the year DDLJ came, Manisha was incredible in Bombay n the year K3G came, Karisma was fab in Zubeida. I dont think these 2 were lesser actors than Kajol by any means. But I agree, Kajol was a great actress

This is not the kind of panels or conversation that should be happening at a film freaking festival. Just sad.
A more meaningful conversation would have been appropriate for such a platform but I also understand it's quite hard given their friendship..
This is not part of the main festival.. In the main part of the festival you have master classes with the likes of Darren Aronofsky. This is the movie mela with focuses on celebrities.

I feel the level of self indulgence here is bonkers. One looks at Alia filmography and the credence that it got and then I listen to her talk, I miss the grace and elegance her films present. It's a dichotomy of sort of how she managed to make that filmography so quickly because it doesn't translate to her thinking and talking. It is just careless but her filmography is so articulate. I really start to think that her choices aren't her and her success is all planned and executioned well. She lacks experience because it gives people thoughtfulness and qualm. Kareena says if one plays a role of a disable then only one is a good actor. And they complain people troll them. Sonam Kapoor says if one looks ugly then people think you are a good actor. The height of self indulgence. Indian audience must change and make the art that provides a meaning to life. Art is the fragrance of life. It's not a beauty product. Let's make it more aromatic.

First of all, I don't understand what this path-breaking feat is that Kareena has accomplished. She's literally the laziest actress of her generation. Got innumerable chances when she was starting out, and towards the end always opted for 'easier' and lazy roles. She chose Gori Tere Pyar Mein over Ram Leela for God's sake. Also, she had one release in the last three years - I'm sorry but Konkona Sharma has acted/directed more than 3 movies in the same time. Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Tabu are all far more versatile and talented than Kareena is.
And why are Alia and Karan trying to act like they're Kareena's minions during this show?? There was no discussion about craft or process or anything (ok very little from Alia), but how self-absorbed is Kareena!!

This totally sucked. At least Alia is talented and was candid in her answers. Kareena is super overrated and came off uninterested and spoilt, as always. It's one thing to ooze confidence, which is the only thing I admire about her but she added no value in this.

@@fatimaabbas7038 so she can be self obsessed because she works hard and earns good, dude like seriously!!!!! She easily got into Bollywood bcoz she is from a film fraternity. She is always categorised as a diva character. She hasn't done anything experimental in her career other than movies like heroine or thalash or some very few roles,and ya her acting in both of these movies can be appreciated. So there is nothing in particular to be so into herself. And alia, even though she is a nepotism product, she has done much better than kareena so far. There are people out there whom we should really appreciate, who works hard and earns much better than her and they are globally accepted. People who created there own space by themselves rather than using a film family tag. And finally no personal offence.
