Hi Mike I bought a can-am Ryker six months ago it’s the best thing I ever did I lost a leg above the knee after major Truck accident in 2018 i’ve been riding motorbikes since I was nine years old I am now 63 , I must say they are totally different to ride but i’m just glad there’s actually something out there that people with a disability can ride I have seen people that are paraplegic riding these bikes which inspired me to get back on the road again thank you once again for the great video Cliff from Logan city Queensland Australia from the big Island
Excellent job on how you role play as the nervous novice. I felt like that helped me understand the nervousness in certain situations and how to deal with it. Just takes baby steps. Great job sir! 👍
I got an F-3S Spyder 1330cc 3 cylinder. Much faster than a 900 Ryker. Love it, it’s like riding a formula 1 race car on the street! Yea baby! Most people death grip the bars and complain about the twitchy ness. Don’t death grip the bars!
@@EloiseAwesomeballs there all semi automatic now. You have to up shift via a paddle, it will automatically down shift without in put or you can downshift when you want to.

Good advice Bike Mike. I Have a Ryker and find that it can be a bit twitchy compared to a two wheeler. I have a Baja Ron sway bar and hopefully it will steady up. Those little 900s are very quick to boot!
Hi Mike great video as for myself it’s mid October here in Manitoba. I will be going to get my Ryker first down payment is after February 20 looking at a used 900 with a few extra on it and they have a couple of 600 so I do hope to get a good deal.
This was a great video to watch..i appreciate it brother. You mentioned some things i definitely will remember once i get mine in july. Especially highway riding and knowing when to pull off and relax your nerves. Then try again once youre calm. Im going to take mine out on some smooth back roads and a short highway. Thanks again and i hope youre enjoying your ryker! Cant wait to get mine.
@@cfairfax85 Make sure the dealer has the wheels and tires balanced and they do a laser alignment as part of setup. I told mine it should be running down the road true upon delivery and I should not have to bring it back and pay for those two things.
I just got a Ryker 900 , used 2021. I was told at dealership all that had been done ( alignment, engine checks and tuneup, oil change, etc). Prior to my taking the Ryker home. It seems fine. But do you get a laser front end alignment at the local dealers garage? Is that different than a regular front end alignment. Hope these are not stupid questions. To me the bike seems to ride just fine. My brother, who is a vintage gold wing two wheeled rider disagrees. He says it handles a little “squirrely “ to him. I am having a blast on it. I am 66 years young as of today. If I am still healthy and enjoying it in about a year or so the plan is to upgrade to a spyder RT We will see.
so i have to spend more money after the fact to get it 'aligned'? backrest, end links and a windshield..now more money since they cant seem to design and build them correctly
Lol 😂, I-14/190 Ft. Hood, Copperas Cove, Killeen. I’m thinking of getting one, my injuries from my military service is preventing me to ride two wheel motorcycle.
i have a 22 900. got it in august. i have replaced the end links and STILL FEEL LIKE IM GOING TO GO OUT OF CONTROL ON THE INTERSTATE.. i dread having to get on it. is it me or what. a gust of wind and i have to release the throttle to get control. a big rig comes by me on the left and im praying to Jesus. why is it flopping like a fish out of water. im starting to HATE that i bought it..
Saw you already did the endlinks so you either need to go to a dealership and get the steering bolt recall done that's required on all 22 Ryker's before you're handlebars snap off. If that's done then you need to work on your upper body strength 💪 it's rack and pinion steering not automatic.
I believe the MOST important thing you should do is get all three wheels balanced, and then have a laser alignment done. It is not any different than a car in this regard - if it does not track down the road in a strait line, it will feel like it is all over the place. I told my dealer it would be a deal breaker if they did not do it - they charge for assembly, and to me "assembly" means roadworthy - not just put it together.
@@ThreeBikeMike EXACTLY...AND SAFE. they are sending a truck for it tuesday to take it back 100 MILES to my nearest dealer..where i bought it. the maintanience head there claim they align it after assembly and BEFORE sale. i dont think so. its a money trap. he was hem hawing the idea of me NOT paying for it which i insisted on. i shouldent be hating and servicing a NEW vehicle. in cars this is unheard of.i hope it makes a difference IF they actually do it. the end links were needed but didnt help. thanks for your replies and advice

I would take it up with the selling dealer. If they are equipped to balance wheels and perform a laser alignment, they should do it. They may not.
Nice video, with all due respect i always say if you are scared of driving or riding then it's not for you.

I have had it to 103 - just for about 10 seconds, not sustained. People in various forums say it peeks at 106.
