  • Trust God and Don’t be Afraid!
All of us face times when we feel fear about doing a particular thing.
Riding on the interstate can be a scary experience, especially if you're not ready for it. When I was riding my Spyder for only a month, I found myself in that exact situation, and to make matters worse, it started raining.
That day made me realize that I needed to develop my riding skills to become a better rider. If you want to ride confidently on your Can-Am Spyder or Ryker on the interstate, you need to think big and take the Can-Am Riding Course.
This course will provide you with the necessary skills to ride safely and confidently, and you can apply what you learn to your existing knowledge as a four-wheel driver.
A veteran rider once said, "Educate your fear so that it will serve you better. And once you can trust it, listen to it. If the anxiety remains, it may not be worth the risk." Before my bike, fear ruled my life. But God has given me power, love, and a sound mind. I can conquer my fears, and so can you.
Now, Ride Safe, Stay in Faith and Think BIG!

you are well trained on all the things that will help you stay alive and well, while on the Highways, But! I would give you one little piece of advice with much respect! I am 76 years old and I have been riding for 60 years so I think I know a little about all of this except for one important Fact! her entrance into Rome, she was dressed in gold and glitter so everyone could see where she was when sitting high above the crowds. I totally agree with you 100%, But you need to be seen as well! so I would get some colorful Patch and have it sewn onto the leather Jacket, and in summer time please use colorful shirts or t-shirts so that you always catch the driver's attention. Be Safe and may you have many many Happy Trails of great riding. REDS AND YELLOWS ARE REAL EYE-CATCHERS.

You know when your “in it” editing footage and trying to make sure you capture the essence of why we ride, it hard to see how far you have come from knowing nothing at all. But it also trusting the God that has given me an assignment in creating this channel. All credit goes to Him🙏🏽 thank you so much for your kind words… I really needed that. Hello Faith, thank you for the refresher course. Don’t ride much on the interstate mainly ride on two lane rural pave roads. The only interstate that I’ve ridden on is four-lane rural interstate and not inter city interstates.Enjoy the video. I also like that you use hand signals on your line changes.

Houston traffic can be intimidating even in my car, let alone my Sea-to-Sky, so I love tip #1. I might add make your bike conspicuous! I have an angel painted on mine along with the galaxy. My favorite 2 times to ride on the interstate are a Saturday morning in April and a Saturday morning in October when they close the interstate down and we all ride with a LEO escort to benefit faith-based recovery houses. Thanks for the wonderful tips and expertly-edited video. Be safe!

Just came across your video. Love your spirit and knowledge. I live in the DFW area and sometimes the traffic can be intimidating. My husband is a life long harley rider and i have never been a rider only a passenger. He bought me a Harley trike and i hate it. Fear is a factor along with the constant clutching and shifting for everything along with hand braking.
I test rode a spyder and fell in love with it. I didn't have the anxiety that i have on the trike. Im 72 years young and want to ride so we will be selling my 2023 trike and buy my 1st cam am soon. Thank you for inspiring me so much. God bless and safe travels.

Awwwww 😭 you just made my eyes sweat 🥲 you are the reason why I have this channel. Not because of the trike... But because of fear. I got tired of allowing Fear to rule so much of my life. I think the best thing achieved outside of marriage in raising a family has been becoming a Can-Am Spyder Rider. I truly believe when you find the bike that is meant for you... You find your soul mate. I'm so excited for you because your next chapter is going to be the best ever. Keep me posted on finding your bike... Welcome home Sis! Let the adventures begin 😘🕷️🙏🏽

I changed to a white helmet so I could be more visible. I also added one more brake light and dual front driving lights. Great advice for the interstate because it is a little nervy with all the cars around you at higher speeds. I ride a two-wheel motorcycle (so I am smaller). I have two riding buddies that ride can am spyders. Thanks for your advice

@@adventuresoffearlessfaith well, they were riding erratically , leaving their riding buddies, blocking traffic, riding so bad one person was clipped by a car and knocked off his Ryker and ran into another rider. Thats what I heard. By then I had pulled off and left the group, I am not a fan of Rykers . I think people really need to know how to ride in groups , know hand signals before riding together.

@@irideadarkhorse9979 🤭 wow! so it’s not just me then. Back when I got my bike, as a new rider I started looking for a tribe. A Spyder group I could possibly ride with. I fell down the rabbit hole, watchin inter-city Rykers ryders and Spyders ryders on UA-cam and my mouth hit the floor 😳😬🫣I could not believe how bad, reckless… dare I say dangerous the riders were. Speeding, blocking traffic, cutting other riders off… it was a free for all. But as a comic would say “that wasn’t the part that behooved me” what behooved me was the comment section. Nobody! And I mean not one single solitary person commented on the reckless behavior. Everyone was an approval and was in full agreement on all of the reckless foolishness. This confirm why one of my fellow wind sister who ryders a Spyder, only ride with Harley’s… as her husband was the director of the chapter I now ride with. And that’s the key… find a good chapter to ride with and open your mind and heart to learn. Have a teachable spirit and you will grow and become a safe ride. Our chapter consist of retired military pilots, active pilot, retired motorcycle police offers and riders with over 30 -40 years of riding experience. We also attend yearly the Harley Davison’s ROC leadership conference and workshop, which keeps our leadership skills sharp, making sure safety in our local chapter
Is priority 1. Sadly, it’s riders and groups like the one you experience that give organized, experienced group rider a bad wrap😢

@@adventuresoffearlessfaith I hate to sound like a separatist. I only did that ride because someone that I knew was new and it was a total catastrophe. I basically ride with one person, I ride a bike. Someone’s occupation doesn’t concern me when we are riding, just ride safe. I dont ride a Ryker I was just supporting, two wheels all day and it doesn’t depend on the brand. Safety to me is paramount especially when you are riding something that has the width of a small car. I think they are pretty cool, I am not interested in riding one. Just be safe and ride like you have some semblance of sense. It’s always the person that is hit by the person thats riding like an idiot that dies and not the idiot.

Thank you for this video, I am thinking about purchasing a Can Am Spyder but one of my fears is riding on the interstate or the highways, I think it's the fear the speed and then the other cars, especially 18 wheelers in the open air. Just a question? With the Can Am riding courses, do you have to own a Can Am to take one of these courses or does Can Am provide their own vehicles to use for those classes?

    • @adventuresoffearlessfaith
      @adventuresoffearlessfaith  Місяць тому +1

Great question! Bikes are provided for the class. Mainly Rykers because they are the bike they push because of their price point. However, they will have a few Spyders Rt, Spyders Ft3 and maybe a sea to sky which is their top of the line Spyder. I did a tone of homework before the class….1st. Doing research on all the models they offered. Then deciding how I wanted to ride. I knew my husband and I wanted to “go yonder” as he like to call it, LOL … ride cross country. So, right away I knew I wanted the Spyder F3t… something sporty but with side cases for storage. Then I did a deep dive into UA-cam videos on how to start and ride Spyders, because there is a process, and I didn’t want to look like a complete newbie when taking the class. When the time came for me to take the 3 wheel riding class and I saw the Spyder f3t that I had decided on buying…I ran to it LOL! I had no interest in learning on something I wasn’t interested in buying and riding yonder lol I hope this help in your future purchase😊

@@adventuresoffearlessfaith Thank you for the reply! Great to hear Can Am provides the vehicles. I'm like your husband because that is what my intention is with the Can Am and that is to "go yonder" and go on nice long drives on winding roads or even take a road trip somewhere. I like the Spyder RT Limited and the Sea-to-Sky model and have been watching youtube videos as well but what I liked about your video is the fact that you're really the only one that talks about the fears and anxiety of riding on the interstates and it was great to see. I'm in my mid-50's so I want some comfort and getting one of these would just add a bucket list thing to do while I'm still fairly young. I know these are semi-automatic but i wonder Can Am is looking to make an automatic on the Spyders like they do with the Rykers.

You can do it! I was also afraid in the beginning, even after the class, but as the video encouraged, I braved the interstate a little at a time. Plus it helped to ride with someone. Find a good riding group. If you are in Houston there is a great 3-wheeler group.
