You can also put a piece of tape on the magnet when installing the shifters to prevent them from being scratched and just remove the tape afterwards :)

your reviews of the asetek stuff is a massive part of why i just ordered the forte base and this button box. i went with the comfort feel round one but would of gone with the orange and black if it was round. rbr and ac drift reasons. looking foward to see how this feels in ams2 most.
i tried your link but found another code that got me 10% off instead. sorry bro as much as i wish i could of shown you the love thats £60 in my new rig fund now. i tried a few codes and it seems everyone on yt gets 5%.
with the sales and discount it came in £50 more than the simagic mini and equivalent rim. no brainer for me.
thanks for the videos dude. you are the most grounded of all the sim racing reviewers!

Only had mine a week, but can already tell that the build quality is fantastic. And yes, I agree about the allen key. If that's the biggest complaint I have, that's a great thing. I only have the two wheels, the racing style that came with the wheelbase, and the round one with the button box. So I use the racing one for racing, the round one for truck driving.

I've had my Asetek Invicta wheelbase and Forte Button Box + round leather rim now for a few months. Absolutely love the wheelbase, the force feedback is so amazingly good. The wheel and button box combo is solid, lots of buttons, and I even like the look once I've changed the colours away from the default yellow setup. My only gripe is the rim is surprisingly skinny. Might not be an issue for everyone but I have fairly large hands and even with gloves I find it just a bit on the skinny side. For reference I did not have any issues with my previous Fanatec RS wheel. Hopefully Asetek will come out with some chunkier options ;)

I also like my forte button box but i wasn't happy about the paddle shifters. I think the fitting is too tight as when you screw them in and crank them down there is some resistance which you can feel and hear. So i didn't crank them down too hard but the problem was that they always got loose very fast. I think it's matter of quality control as the paddle shifters of my formula wheel are much better so i tried to switch them and its much better now. What I also would like to see is another buttonbox with way smaller formfactor especially for rallye and drifting.

Hey Karl, isn't your roll (G-Force) setting wrong on your motion platform? It looks like it is rolling the same direction as the turn instead of rolling away to simulate the g-force. If you're turning right, your body should be pushed to the left, correct?

Honestly I’m upset with Asetek. I’ve been running into disconnect issues and they won’t offer me a refund. They claim no, then they say it can be up to 50% restocking fee. This is less than 14 days of owning it. Tried doing RMA and they said the logs I sent they don’t see any issues. But there is a new software update coming out and they’re telling me to wait for that.

@Anothersimracer666 I’m on their discord and tried making noise. Did you return via Asetek?

Asetek are rubbish for restock fees, sadly. They charged me 20% restock fees for the Invicta pedals I returned, because I had mounted them to my rig as carefully as humanly possible. No other way to test the things, so I was miffed at that. Having said that, give Asetek a week to actually test your kit, I am sure they will find out what is wrong with it and sort you out. You were a bit unlucky hitting this as we go into easter.

Amazon Need to sell them, 20% is ridiculous. Products ain't cheap, 20% on a base is a lot of cash. On the mid level base that's £180. They were on my wishlist but now I'm gonna need to rethink. I was told they had a great customer service. They already have a bad rep on pc side. Aio, lots of pc guys won't buy from them based on that alone. I've never used there aio cooling as I use custom cooling.

Karl do you think Asetek will be able to compete with simucube and simagic in the near future if they continue with the way that they are going?
